“I had been to 3 nurseries looking for Fire Chief arborvitae and burgundy barberry that can handle part shade. I struck out everywhere until I came to Sherwood's Forest. Within 5 min I had a full cart and am thrilled with my purchases. Employees were all very friendly and helpful. Update: I've been back twice today already and came home with 3 trees I'm really excited about finding (and totally missed yesterday). I haven't seen this tree at any other nursery, even substantially larger ones I've visited recently. Sherwood's Forest will be my first stop from now on because of the unique varieties they carry!”

There's an indoor selection of orchids, air plants and succulents as well!I can't say enough about the helpfulness & friendliness of the staff. “To call Boxwood Farms a nursery is to undersell this business. To call it a contemporary high end garden store would be a better description. Very tasteful pots, outdoor decorations as well as a good selection of exotic and outdoor plants would be more accurate. We did not try the restaurant which looks like it could be good.”

Scott is very knowledgeable about landscaping and how to use different plants to create the look we wanted. The installation crew is very friendly, courteous and knowable about how to care for the plants. They cleaned up our yard, driveway and street of all debris. They carry quality plants and stand behind their warranty.”

“I've used their sod for 20 years. The greatest part is that it comes rolled. You take off the pallet and unroll. Other places comes unrolled and it's un handy. It's thick and consistent. Don't look anywhere else. Follow proper watering and you will have perfect grass.”

“This place is insanely well run. The sales folks on the phone or at the counter are nice as can be. Their pricing is incredibly fair for the product they offer. Their delivery drivers are polite, well spoken and actually show up when they say they will. I mean even their restrooms and entire facility are the nicest out of any of my vendors. I hands down recommend this place to anyone looking for incredible topsoil or and mulch product.”
“This is my favorite nursery in the city! The down to earth customer service can’t be beat. I’m a 1st time home owner & I had big dreams for beautifying my from yard. I purchased an Etsy garden plan & took it up to Hartke to gather my plants. Eloise & Don (dynamic duo) took some time with me. Eloise designed placement & Don had the knowledge of every plant. After 2 weeks I got it done. It was hard work but so satisfying.”

“The staff was super friendly, and even helped me load the soil onto the flat bed cart with me. After I was done checking out, there was a younger lady in the garden area who was told to go on break, and offered to help load the soil in the truck with me, since the guys that usually do it weren't around. I didn't want her to have to go to work while on her break, but she insisted. That kind of work is hard to come by.
Then the guy that usually does it, finally comes out of hiding, and the girl asks him to help. He says yes and even pushes the heavy cart for me to where I parked and loaded it into the truck with me.
I was very impressed with how everyone was working together. That is what I call true teamwork.
I will definitely be coming back to this location.”
“Almost every worker I passed by today said hi and was very friendly. (It did help that I had my dog with me :) however, they were very kind and respectful of my dog who is still learning how to interact with the general public. My dog got a few treats. Chatted with a worker named Alicia who was very sweet and made me feel welcome. Thankful for kind people!”
“This is quite a delayed review- but better late than never. :) My mom really wanted some hanging plants for Mother's Day. I always drive by Colors of Spring and notice the beautiful plants outside (when they're open). We went together to pick them out, and loved the different varieties that they offered. We parked on Fyler for street parking, and walked in the back. Lots of different areas to look and choose from. I'm the furthest from a plant pro, so I wouldn't be able to tell you exactly what I saw. However; they looked well taken care of and of good quality. There were also a large variety on the outside of the front of the shop on Watson. We found a couple we liked to check out and the staff member working explained to my mom how to properly take care of her choices- water amount, sunlight amount. It was a quick and easy experience, I would definitely go back to find more in the future!”
