“Purchased motorized blinds for our company. Fabulous customer service, detailed information and smooth installation. The conference room is used constantly and we receive nothing but rave reviews on the new blinds. So thankful we found Natalie and Budget Blinds. Natalie was so informative and helpful from the very start. She provided immediate response to all our questions and helped us continually from the beginning to the end. So easy to work with and her product knowledge was invaluable.”

“If you are looking for things for your kitchen Pryde’s has got you covered. Their customer service was excellent and they even offered us tea or coffee while we shopping. Make sure you visit their bakery while you are there. Their fresh baked goods were so good. Their pie crust is so flaky and buttery. I honestly could have eaten a whole pie of just crust.”

“Got some great deals on some high quality furniture. I used to only shop at NFM but this store went above and beyond. The store manager Joe made sure we left with the best experience possible. We will be returning in the future and have already recommended the Liberty store to all our friends and family.”

“After seeing a storage unit at a family member’s house and learning that it had come from Bob’s, I went to their website. After finding a piece that I liked, we went to the Merriam-Webster store and asked if they had one that we could see. The purchase was made easily, and we were told when we can expect delivery of it (approximately). Good folks to work with.”

“Megan is great to work with when choosing the best bedding! Scandia is hands down the only bedding to purchase. We spend a third of our lives in bed. It’s worth the investment. Once you have experienced it you will never buy any other bedding.”

Suzanne helps us each visit with back door entry and elevator access. My friend is in a wheelchair and they go out of their way to accommodate us! They remember our names and are a joy to work with!”

“I always find something that I wouldn't have otherwise known I needed within the confines of these walls. They have a great snack/healthy beverage section, and the most insane selection of (early) Halloween decor. It's a lot lower stress than our local target, and you can find some steals!”

“LONG BUT WORTH THE READNestled in the heart of Kansas City's historical West Bottoms, you'll find a gem that's as rich in character as the neighborhood it resides in - Martin's Memories. This four-story warehouse of vintage treasures and modern creativity is not simply a store, but a journey, one that will take you back in time, while simultaneously inspiring you with fresh ideas. As you step through the door, you are greeted by an array of vintage furniture, each piece telling a story of a bygone era. The scent of aged wood and the patina of time-worn finishes transport you to a time of simplicity and charm. As you make your way towards the center of the first floor, you will discover a nostalgic candy shop ran by the sweetest Nana B. She sells a variety of old fashioned candy, soda, and every flavor of taffy you can think of. The clothing section, filled with handpicked vintage attire, is a fashion lover's dream come true, offering a unique blend of style and nostalgia. But Martin’s Memories is not just about the past. “Nice owner (?) and priced lower than similar garden art iron pieces, plus ask for current sales or discounts. Two floors of unique pieces for inside or outside. Dishes and decor made in Mexico, a few religious art antique pieces, and Saint garden statues. The handmade furniture is great quality and prices. Items start at $5 for a cute purple frog for the wall. It's a great store!#shopping #chicken #gardenart #SWboulevard#iron #Catholic #flamingo #kookybird”

“This place was awesome! If you're looking for unusual or period pieces for your home...this is the place to look! The gals that run the place are very helpful too. I was in town celebrating my son's birthday with him and he recommended going there to find furnishings for the Airbnb I'm setting up. I found several nice things, at a good price. I'll be back.”

“This is a great shop! I believe their main presence is online, but they have a great store in the Westwood Hills shopping district on the corner of 50th and State Line Road. I was nearby at Hi Hat grabbing coffee and remembered my wife was eyeing some heart cookie cutters for Valentine's Day cookies with the kiddo. They had nice ones here, along with Pickwick candles, pillows, and other nice home decor. The shop owners are all friendly and were helpful as we quickly perused the shop. Love this little corner of Westwood Hills as it is, and having this shop is just another reason to love it.”

“A group of friends and I were walking through the Crossroads during First Fridays, trying to scope out another under-the-radar gallery...you know, one that wasn't so crowded and was more likely to provide us with free beer. Instead, we stumbled upon Deadleaf Designs, a killer local carpentry shop that specializes in eco-friendly production methods. Their products range from as small as a keychain to as large as completely custom built-in cabinetry. In between, they have some of the coolest furniture I've seen. The fact that it's made in Kansas City? It makes it even better! I would describe the aesthetic of Deadleaf Designs as a modern take on reclaimed barn wood. They're big on repurposing scrap woods from a variety of trees with a whole range of stains. They seem to take this rule and apply it in different manners, so their work can either look either hyper-structured or organic. Every piece is completely unique, which I can get behind. While not outrageously priced, these pieces are certainly not discount furniture. However, they do have many smaller items that can bring the same aesthetic without breaking the bank. They have a great line of mirrors, and a pretty dang unique key rack as well. I personally own one of their wine racks. A single piece of reclaimed barn wood, rough at the edges, this piece is deceptively simple. It is absolutely a statement piece in my condo, and virtually every guest I have entertained has commented on it. I love Deadleaf Designs, and I hope they have a long and successful career here in KC. Oh, and when we stumbled into their showroom that first night? They totally gave me a beer.”

“Hobby Lobby usually has a great selection of greeting cards. This location didn't have anything but boxed cards. However, the boxed cards were inexpensive. I purchased two.”

“Lots of selections but as sometimes new to Hobby lobby, the aisles can be hard to navigate. Once you figure out how the store is laid out it isnt too confusing.
I did happen to come when they were having a half on rugs, bedding, and other items. Got some really great deals.”
