“Had heard of Don's, but I was loyal to save way, until I ate Don's bacon and ground beef and now I'm a fan.. (sorry save way.. I found another way. )”
“I shop here at least 2 or 3 times a month for me and my clients. I always have a good experience everytime I go. The staff is friendly and helpful. I love Solls.”
“This is a charming, old style butcher shop. They often cut the meat you desire right then and there! The day I was there, there was a lady behind the counter and I asked for a ribeye steak and she pulled out a giant slab of meat and cut it just as I requested. It was really a great experience.”
“When I first could drive after heart surgery I ordered a special and one of the owners carried my bags to car that's service not to mention the great prices on their specials. These are good people always friendly customer service. I highly recommend.”
“Came to visit our son at Wash U for parents weekend and our son decided he wanted us to cook in instead of going out to a fancy steakhouse. The butcher cut our steaks to order, we got 1 ribeye and 1 porter house and they were amazing. Thanks so much for our memorable experience!”
“Great shop! Was immediately greeted when I walked in the door. Picked up some ribeyes, and they were fantastic! Nice selection. Fantastic spot, will be back.”
“Sorry to my non-meat eating friends. Love y'all. Might want to just jump to the next review. Frandeka's is your one stop butcher right in the heart of Historic Soulard Market. The first time I ever went to Frandeka's I was absolutely blown away by the selection. There were meats and cuts that I've never heard of. No matter what you're looking for, they probably have it. From linked meats like cajun brats to hand crafted lunch meats, you won't have to make multiple stops thanks to Frandeka's. And all the prices are incredibly reasonable as well. The customer service at Frandeka's was also stellar! The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They offered suggestions and also guidance on what would work best for the gumbo I was cooking. You can tell that they are accustomed to serving a high volume of traffic as they worked efficiently to help.”

4828 Parker Ave, St. Louis“I had a wonderful experience in store today. I’m no foreigner to Bavarian Cuisine, and so after venturing into this shop I was quite pleased. The selection was fantastic. I haven’t had leberkäse in YEARS and got some today. It’s delectable! Service was top notch. A line formed after me and despite that fact, I still wasn’t rushed as I asked questions and ordered. Thank you for the hospitality! Prost!”
“Lovely market with Bosnian traditional foods with a butcher attached. A wonderful place to stop and pick up some chocolates, cookies or baklava from the freezer.”
“I am an online customer, have been for several years. I've tried a variety of products. The bacon wrapped filet mignon are my favorite. I usually prepare them in my broiler with butter and a few mushrooms. I can't beat them, and I've tried. My local butcher shop in STL, Kendricks, comes very close. I also like the side dishes scalloped and/or augrautin potatoes and the garlic baguettes. They are expensive, but I'm hooked. My biggest thing that bothers me is the styrofoam cooler their products come in, it's not recyclable... I wish I knew a use or an organization that could use them. I hate just putting them in the trash.”
“I just discovered this place last week and have made my husband pick up almost daily since then! Amazing selection of meats and their sandwiches are 10/10. Take all my money!”
