“Extremely timely, addressed all of my dog needs. Promptly. She had allergies and was advised to keep paws wiped every time she came in from outdoors as well as administered an allergy shot and annual check up and weight. Loved the staff and vets attention. Will return next year. The only downside were the prices. Overall an excellent rating.”
“We had to put our dog to sleep. Call FAH we had never been there but Dr. Chipperfield as so kind to Sadie. Spent time with her, talking to her & petting her. Talked to us and if she knew us forever, reassuring us we were doing the right thing for Sadie. She was so compassionate to us. If (or when) I get another dog, I will take her to Dr. Chipperfield. Other vet's I have been to didn't make me feel they really care about my dog or me. I highly recommend the Family Animal Hospital to anyone that wants a place that truly cares for your pet and treats you with respect and not like just another customer. The staff were kind and sweet.”

“Howdershell Animal Clinic is the only place I will take my pets, and Dr. Woodworth is the absolute best vet on this planet. I have a hedgehog, Omega, which is considered an exotic pet, and is hard to find care for in the St. Louis area. We drive 30 min to see Dr. Woodworth at Howdershell because she is so incredibly kind and caring, as well as extremely knowledgeable about my pet. Omega has had a few health complications, and Dr. Woodworth always knows the answer and has ideas of things to try when we don't know exactly what is going on. The staff that works at the front desk is also fantastic to speak with, and have always made me feel supported and heard with my many questions. I cannot express my appreciation enough for this wonderful team.”

“Dr. Bruce Karmazin is so awesome! Easily, the best veterinarian I have ever seen! I was blessed to have 2 dogs, in my childhood & just wish that their vets had been even HALF as good as Dr. Bruce! I had 2 dogs, one of whom has, sadly, passed on. Dr. B. took care of both & continues to care for my little angel boy, Nestor! I should also mention that all his staff are just wonderful, as well! They’re so caring & devoted… JUST INCREDIBLE!!”

“I was able to get in quickly, the location was easy to find and there was plenty of parking. The vet and vet technician who helped me and my Monster were friendly, thorough and patient. I was provided with several options for my Monster (6ish year old cat). They had what I needed in the office and I was able to order the one thing they were out of to be delivered to my home, saving me a trip. This office was recommended to me and I will definitely recommend it to others.”

They have been so patient with all my questions I call them for with Nala's diabetes. They try to save you money as well, and we know how much vet visits and treatment can cost , and Ashley there is so awesome and helpful . “I've been taking my three dogs and Cat here for several years. We even moved 30 min away but I will still take them to Heritage. The vets here are very kind and the staff is great and make my pets feel comfortable. They were so apologetic when they made mistake with my appointment. For the most part it's reasonably priced, very clean and you can get in fairly quick. They are great at communicating/ call backs and never hesitate to answer my questions if I need to call about my pets. I only took off one star because I have once or twice felt pressured to add tests, treatment etc. that aren't strictly necessary or are more expensive than the alternative.”

“My vet recommended AVS after my cat was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism for the radioiodine treatment. Dr. Loyd and her staff were kind, straightforward, and answered all of my questions. Tech Janet was whom I spoke with at the consultation and during my cat's stay at AVS and she is a true gem! My cat is weary of anyone outside of our household and they were so kind and accommodating to him and providing me updates throughout his time there. It made me feel reassured that not only he was getting the treatment but also by people who truly care. Over a month post-procedure and my lil' buddies levels show that he no longer has Hyperthyroidism! Beyond grateful to the AVS team and that we have a facility in St. Louis that provides this treatment.”

“We brought our boy in with a fast-growing bump that we were hoping was nothing. Dr. Belter was so great in taking our concerns seriously, and after a week of no improvement, she recommended a biopsy & full removal at the same time just to be safe. She is the one who performed the surgery as well. Unfortunately for us, the biopsy came back as lymphoma a few weeks later, but we would have lost valuable time if she hadn’t recommended surgical removal right away. I’m so thankful she listened to our concerns and encouraged us to exercise caution with this. She was very informative and caring while delivering the diagnosis, and helped us get in to see an oncologist as soon as possible. The whole office has been extremely helpful as well in supporting us and our pup as we navigate this.”

“If I could give Dr.K 100 stars I genuinely would! I spent thousands and thousands of dollars in vet bills for our cat, he has chin acne & chronic ear infections. The vet had no idea what they were dealing with, but continued leaving me to spend so much money with the problem not being solved. 1 appointment, only ONE Dr.K fixed both problems, my cat no longer has chin acne, nor ear infections. My cat, my bank account, and I are so much happier!! I completely recommend seeing Dr.K! I wish I have done it sooner! There prices beat all other dermatologists!! Thank you again Dr.K!”
