Horrible, horrible experience. I've been in the spectrum store here in Cape Girardeau 3 nights in a row just to simply add a line to my account and purchase a new phone. I've spent a total of 8 hours in this store and still do not have a phone! First I was told (after waiting 3 hours) that my payment had to post before I could proceed with buying a new phone. I go in the next day, their system was down even though others were getting checked out and leaving with new phones. Marcus assured me I'd be leaving with a phone. I was there another 3 hours and left with nothing, again. The workers were talking amoungest them selves about who was getting commission for my phone sale, even had their boss Lisa on speaker phone talking about sales and who was making the most. So freakin un-professional. They were too worried about getting off work in time then helping me with my account. So im told to come in a 3rd day. A girl comes in AFTER me and was checked out before me, brand new working phone in hand and im told the system is down again. Marcus was cussing infront of my kids, very unprofessional demeanor while im there mad as all get out, a third night in a row. Then im told a new phone can be shipped to my house, set up an order for that to be done just to be told I have to pay in full, which is not at all what I agreed to! I was adding a new line and purchasing a new phone to pay monthly on like I've always done. Lisa, the manager was supposed to call me today to resolve all of this and I got a call saying sorry for your issues, come in Saturday..mind you I've been trying to get a phone since Tuesday. This is the worst customer service experience I've ever had. The worker in store was no help, the manager was NO help! I do not advise going in person here for any issues. I will be reporting all of this above this stores head. HORRIBLE experience!

I'm fed up with you guys screwing me over and you are bunch of liars. I would definitely not tell my friends or family members to do business with you ever again. Who in their stupid mind thinks that it's ok for the customers to pay for their own equipment. It should be you guys to provide free Internet service to everyone

I've had spectrum for a very long time now....pleased with there service and internet service but it seems my bill keeps changing I know there is no contract on the plan but why raise bills on the people that have been with you the longest vs new people?

DO NOT get the Spectrum mobile plan.I went to get a new phone for myself. I ordered a pink iPhone. They have no stock in store so they have to mail it to me. That’s fine. They mail me the wrong phone. I go into the store and they tell me they can’t accept it in store and I have to mail it back through fedex. They go ahead and order me the correct phone this time. I have to wait again. Once I get the correct phone, I immediately mail back the first phone that I did not use or activate.Mailed it back in brand new condition in the same week. (I was still using my iPhone 11 that I’ve had for 5 years and doesn’t have a scratch on it.) I get an email today saying they can’t give me a full refund and charge me $611 for the wrong phone they sent me! Said the phone had water damage and the screen doesn’t work. I asked for proof and they sent me pictures of a cracked screen. On the back of the phone there were 7 stickers layered on top of each other. Was on the phone for 3-4 hours. Of course there’s nothing they can do but lie and steal my money. There’s a very long Reddit thread of this same exact thing happening to other people.We filed a claim with the FCC and the BBB. Will be disputing with our bank as well and switching providers as soon as possible.

We purchased 2 phones and the staff was very friendly and very helpful. Very good experience. Even though there were only 3 employees on duty, all others were out sick they kept busy and helped everyone as quickly as they could.

At a time when exceptional customer service seems to be a thing of the past, this is not the case for this particular Spectrum store. I went in with my sister to try and figure out the best plan for our 85 year old dad. Jessica went out of her way to make sure we got the best plan for him and also at the best price. She was patient in explaining the many options that are available. We ended up getting a plan that is perfect for him. Jessica is a great asset to the Spectrum team!!

Absolutely the worst customer experience I've encountered locally.Location is nice and clean. Very warm, welcoming environment, at first glance. Don't let that fool ya.I believe they "make up the rules as they go" .. but, to their own advantages.Within my 3 experiences, I have been told completely apposing instructions, ultimately failing to complete my prePAID, new cell service in-store .. Again, as instructed and supervisor advisedAs my 3 experiences have gone, the only thing I find consistent is their lack of consistency. ..With one exception, I can confidently expect a SUDDEN shift in demeanor once they learn ...I'm all set with my personally owned and unlocked device ....SIM in hand... plan all set up.I just require their aide in activating that SIM, or provide me with another . as their policy implies.It's outright uncomfortable interacting with their sudden newfound lack of friendliness, and absolute unwillingness to assist once they realize they are not making "the sale" and or initiating a new service.(ie. bringing own compatible devices with a SIM in hand, mailed via online support).What happened to that welcoming smile and eager attentiveness? Gone so fast..?3 of the 3 times I've visited the Cape Girardeau location, I've walked out completely exhausted and frustrated...never getting the simple (phone activation) service I came to accomplish, done.Once, they even told me my 'compatible phone' was not compatible, and I needed to purchase another to avoid losing my number.Online/phone support is typically good. Realizing again, in-store support is unqualified and/or unwilling to fulfill advertised promises, I immediately.. (from experience) reach out to an elevated supervisor in hopes for resolve.Each time their response is genuinely apologetic, often speechless, and even "appalled."Thankfully they have, without my asking, immediately credited my account with a courtesy fund for the "unacceptable troubles". ...3 SEPARATE TIMES.Unfortunately, due to personal time constraints and our unwillingness to lose established cell number, Spectrums helpful and friendly online support was unable to resolve this ongoing issue that can only be done in store.May be next month.. .. ?

I was dropping off equipment that didn't work and discovered that the items in my possession weren't even issued to me under my name or account number. Who knows if someone else had equipment that was in my name. I asked, but I was told no. Hopefully they straightened everything out appropriately.
