“Tropical Envy is a boutique filled with clothing and gifts that are both stylish and reasonably priced. A pretty rare combination nowadays. The sales staff is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, another rarity. My wife loves to visit the store every time she is in the area and always seems to find that special something. Guys can also find that birthday, anniversary or Christmas gift. You can even get that emergency present that is needed because you messed up. It happens. Bottom line, you will be pleasantly surprised by Tropical Envy.”

There are several rooms to browse and select merchandise from. I found several beautiful tops, both dressy and casual. You can also find items tailored to the state, and a few cities, of Mississippi. “Exceptionally cute gifts, especially pottery, jewelry, and Christian artwork, notebooks, and gifts. Good candles and home decor and then a ton of very cute baby stuff as well. Where they get me is the clothes!! Every one of my favorite outfits has SOMETHING from Ally Oops. They aren't a plus sized store or anything, but I can always find something that fits, and that is not always the case for me in other boutiques. Also, a really good number of cute things that are not skimpy (I am a little more on the modest side). I love this store. I ALWAYS walk out with more than I intended to buy!!”

“Store manager, Philip, is an absolute gem!! I have a Hot Topic store 10 mins from me but because of him, I travel 30 mins to the Pearl store. He is so helpful and kind. This old mother needs help when making surprise purchases for my teenager ? and he is there every step of the way. The store is always so clean, tidy and has a great selection. I do wish they offered plus sizes in-store tho, as they do online?”

“Great store! Once I realized they sell the same things as Forever21, Rue21, & other retail stores, I started coming here. The staff are friendly, always willing to help out with assessing outfits. Only issue is the other customers. Don’t let the rude customers make you think this place is bad. Honestly, this particular Rainbow is a LOT more organized than most retail stores.”

It was a difficult and lengthy task because of the shipment process…. “Southern Glitz Formal Wear is absolutely my favorite place to go. For me it is worth the hour drive from Hattiesburg. As a highschooler finding a prom/event dress can be really hard, but the employees at southern glitz make it so easy. It is a COMFORTABLE and SAFE environment. Each girl is so kind and will make you feel your best. Out of every formal dress shop from the MS Gulf Coast to Jackson MS, this is the best. (I just purchased two dresses for my proms this year 2024 and the photo is from when I shopped last year 2023.)”
