No matter the transaction time the wait is minimum 10-15 minutes in the drive through. Waited 15 minutes to cash an $80 check. Never cashed it. Went to Hancock downtown.”
“Although I am no longer an account holder with this bank as I had returned to my home, Singapore (and hate to say that there is no Hancock Whitney bank here), I want to leave a positive review here to show my appreciation to the excellent help from Laurie B. Godfrey.I left US in March 2021. Prior to that, I had failed to close my account with HCW due to some issues, which I only found out when I was back in Singapore. For the first few months after my return, I had tried to close the debit account from Singapore by writing to customer services but was not successful. I was also not able to call HCW customer services directly as well as the number provided is toll free.I gave up for quite some time but concerns that there may not be enough fund for monthly service charges prompted me to seek help from a friend in US to contact HCW customer services for me recently. With his help, we managed to call customer services and were advised to call the bank directly.My friend contacted HCW bank at Ocean Springs downtown with his office phone and Laurie responded. I was able to communicate to Laurie via my Whatsapp call to friend's mobile phone. Laurie was very attentive in listening to my request and without hesistation, she advised and explained to me clearly on what needed to be done. Thereafter, I was amazed by the prompt replies from Laurie to my emails. With her help, I managed to close my account but a miss-out mistake by me resulted in a cashier cheque issue, which I have to trouble the bank again. Notwithstanding that, Laurie continued her friendly support with quick responses to emails. I hope the issue can be resolved with the cheque returned to bank soon.Laurie was very professional and friendly in her help and what surprised me most is this is despite her senior role with HCW and the fact that I am only a small debit account holder. She had gone above and beyond to help and her actions had really demonstrated the core values of HCW; help others, care more, and be the best.”
