“At West St Paul Public Storage I was treated like gold! I lost my keys and they drilled out and replaced my lock in a timely manner. When I told her I couldn't afford the unit any more she requested a rate reduction (which was granted) without me asking. As a result I will be staying with West St Paul Public Storage.”

“Since moving, I have had to utilize Extra Space storage. I got a decent deal on a great location. It allows me to keep my few possessions safe and sound and includes insurance in the payment. “I called Storage Mart and a sales representative answered (I initially thought it was someone working at N St. Paul location). Sales rep was fantastic with answering my questions. I didn't have to commit anything over the phone other than my name and current address to reserve a storage unit (I chose a 10x10). I didn't have to pay my special price over the phone - I told sales rep I wanted to see the unit before choosing to commit. I gave sales rep my email, name, and address and the unit was reserved.The next day, I went into the N St. Paul location to check out the unit. I was greeted by one of the best person I have ever met: Holly K (general manager of N St. Paul location). I explained to her my situation and she did not judge me at all, only showed understanding and enjoyment in helping me. We walked to the unit and it looked great; seeing it in-person confirmed to me that our belongings would fit into a 10x10. I had questions after seeing the unit and Holly answered every question and further explained anything I was confused about (I'm not too bright). Holly was patient and showed only enjoyment and enthusiasm in the work she does (helping ppl with a storage unit).I want to thank Holly for giving me such an amazing experience as a first-time storage unit renter. Holly's demeanor to her experience in customer service really sold me on renting with Storage Mart. If Holly were employed by another storage company, I might follow her there. LolI tried looking up part-time employment t opportunities with N St. Paul location, but unfortunately there were no current openings. I would have loved to help Holly manage the N St. Paul Storage Mart on weekends.5/5 stars experience, all thanks to Holly. ?”

“I rented at Stor for over a year and cannot say enough amazing things about the experience. This was my first time renting a storage unit and Stor has exceeded my expectations. I was nervous about keeping my things somewhere outside of my home because it was new to me, but I am so glad I picked this one. The move-in process was easy and simple, getting in and out of the building is secure and quick. Payment is easily processed through autopayments. The building has plenty of sturdy carts to utilize. Everything was very clean, dry, and completely climate controlled. When I moved out this week to relocate out of state, my items were in the same condition they were when I moved them in last summer. I barely had to sweep the unit, that’s how clean it was. Moving out was easy and hassle free. All the interactions I had with the staff were great from move-in, general questions, to move out. They responded quickly and knowledgably. I highly recommend this facility!”

“I have been here for the last few years. Ann at the Woodbury (woodale) location has been nothing but great. When I needed to extend my hours on different occasions she got right on it. She also came out every so often to chat quickly and ask how my day is going.
No one has done that at a storage unit before. She is welcoming, with a professional manner. She also represents public storage here in woodbury pretty well.

“After being frustrated with my storage rate going up over the year that I’ve had it from $70-$152. I simply called to ask how much notice I had to give if I was going to move out of my unit and possibly to another storage facility…
Jeanette (sp??) Went above and beyond when I only called to just ask that one question and hang up. Jeanette not only answered my questions but she was able to help me get a new storage unit for $67; the same size and at the same location. All I had to do was switch from the unit I was currently in to another one.
She could’ve just answered my question and hung up, but she took the time to understand what was going on and what was important to me/my needs. She even let me take a day or two to think about it but put notes in on my account if I decided to go with her suggestions (which I did).
Let me tell you, she was SO helpful and went above and beyond that she actually made me more upset with how poor of customer service I received later in the week from a bank I was dealing with. As I left Wells Fargo I was thinking, “They need Jeanette here because she’s helpful and cares and these women are the complete opposite!!!!”
She even went above and beyond at showing me the new storage unit during a downpour.
I know I am a customer who has only had a couple interactions with her, but I will be a reference for this woman because she knows customer service. Any company would be lucky to have her working for them. Public storage, you better give her a raise. Or let her run a property. Because she’s a good one, and you are lucky to have her.”

“I checked online to understand their options and then stopped in. The person at the front desk (Dave) showed me a few units. We discussed a bit what I was in need of -- storage of long pieces of trim while we renovate a home -- and he directed me to a unit on the top level that was at the east end of the building with taller ceilings where I could then store the trim vertically, which was also conveniently next to stairs that made it easy to bring up long pieces of trim. This allows me to use the unit much more efficiently. I reserved that unit that day and officially rented it out a few days later. It's now been a week and I've mostly filled the unit (including a chair and couple other items in addition to the trim), which means it is no longer in my way in our renovation. Everything has been really smooth, the two folks I've interacted with on staff were very friendly and helpful, the building is nicely conditioned (temperature and humidity), and the building is also very clean. Five Star Storage is an easy "yes I recommend" for anyone looking for storage in the area.”

We chose this storage facility in August 2021 for it's proximity to our house and have not had a bad, or even difficult, experience since. It is always clean, well-maintained, accessible and secure. The communication is clear, simple to understand and straightforward. Holly is a welcoming presence and handles any issue or question with quick and in-depth knowledge. The facility is laid out in a sensible manner and carts are always available and where you expect them. Because of this ease of use, I didn't realize "how good we've had it" here until a recent frustrating experience at a different company's storage locker in Edina for my mother.
