“I just had an interaction with "Cory" an african american, and the best, most efficient teller I've ever encountered. I came back to complement him, but he was so kind to the person he was helping at the time (most of us are old), did his job perfectly and then gave me his name. If that guy is there, at that store, I'll go back.”

“The Medicine Chest Pharmacy is everything you would want in your pharmacy. You feel that they know you and your prescriptions. The fact that you can call, and someone answers the phone who is knowledgeable is very rare and valuable these days. You will not find this kind of service from a chain. Plus, the bonus of an adorable shop with so much FUN merchandise! We are lucky to have such a gem in White Bear Lake.”

“I have been using Mix Pharmacy for a few years now and have always had the BEST customer service from everybody! They make getting refills so easy, even if they need to call the doctor's office. And they ship out right away! If only everything operated like MIX these days!”

“Out of four surrounding states, this is the only other liqueur store that carries Wray & Nephew white overproof rum, other than one in Rodgers MN. They had plenty in stock and really came through when i was in a pinch. Would recommend coming to this place first before other large name stores. I don't understand why they are not higher up on my local Google search!”

“Per my insurance I've had to have my rx's filled by a Big Box store. After waiting all week for my refill, they told me they couldn't fill it until the 8th & to try smaller pharmacies. I called Setzer! Peter said they didn't have it either but to call their sister store, Lloyd's. I did and they filled it! Thank you Peter for pointing me in Lloyd's direction! I also am glad I was able to support a small, local merchant! Thanks Setzer!”

“All pay-at-the-pump with the Sam's Club app. Good price usually, and we haven't had any issues with quality. Sometimes the lines can get long, as not all the customers move very efficiently.”

“Staff is great, super friendly. Infusion always goes well. Chairs are horrible; they're worse than airplane seats. Bring your own pillow to help with comfort.”

“Overall, a positive visit - 4 stars. This was my first experience at the M Health Fairview facility in Blaine. My destination was the imaging area for an MRI. GOOD: 1. The tech who conducted the MRI was great. She was friendly, she explained everything well, she was patient, and she helped make the experience as pleasant as possible. 2. The MRI machine itself is really cool. It created a high resolution 3D image using magnetism. I only had to stay inside the tube for about 20 minutes. I got to pick a station and listen to the radio. Not bad at all. 3. I had the last appointment of the evening. As a result, there was hardly any traffic and I got to park right at the front door. Sweet. NEEDS IMPROVEMENT: 1. I was called on the phone and asked if I could arrive early because there was a cancellation. But after I checked in and I was ushered into the inner secondary waiting room, the 2nd employee asked why I arrived so early. I explained that I was called and asked to come in early because of a cancellation. Then the 2nd staff told me, "She's not supposed to do that." What? No communication? So now I have to sit around until my original appointment time? Silly. 2. When I first checked in, I was told that my MRI was "disallowed" by my insurance. I showed her my valid card. And I asked, how does this happen when it was scheduled for nearly a week? Don't you check this stuff? Do you want me to go home? She said she was going to check in more detail. Then the second staff called me inside. I guess that meant I was suddenly "allowed". Weird. 3. I was questioned & advised FIVE (5) TIMES about not wearing anything with metal and about metal jewelry and about metal implants. (Why mention clothing when they make you change into a gown?) Look - I get it already! It's a giant magnet. But five times? 1) The scheduler went through it with me. 2) The person at check-in went through it. 3) Once inside, I completed and signed a detailed 2-sided form. 4) The second employee went through the metal thing. 5) Finally, the MRI tech operator went through the metal thing. SOOO disorganized and inefficient! How about just mentioning it twice, once before the appointment and then have ONE staff go through the form verbally line-by-line? Unfortunately, this type of circular BS is common and I've actually come to expect it. 4. I watched the front desk employee take her mask off as soon as I walked away and sat in the far corner of the lobby. (We were the ONLY 2 humans in the lobby.) Yet I still had to wear mine. I watched the 2nd employee take her mask off in her office. Yet I still had to wear mine. These 2 employees know it's stupid and so do I. 5. Last but not least...the masks...still? Everyone else stopped this a LONG time ago. As tons of data has come out and censorship has subsided, most of us know about their complete ineffectiveness. Yet Fairview persists. (You can't convince me that my 50 cent mask with half inch gaps does anything.) Aren't these folks supposed to follow biological science, peer reviewed studies, and statistical data? Can't we all agree that, at some point, this just becomes an abusive irritant to patients? Overall, mostly a pleasant experience, despite the glitches. -Maxx”

“This place is very professional. The pharmacists are knowledgeable and were able to help me fill a prescription when they changed a refill date the 2 months before and had an old script on file. The issue was corrected and only had to wait 10 minutes. Plus they are open on Saturdays.”

“Kudos to my family health MD-Dr. Darling & her assistant today, Sasha! Thank you for not rushing my visit and listening to my concerns. Also, the check-in desk staff that I dealt with was very pleasant and professional. I like that she says that the MD is running a little late, but I will be seen. It wasn't that long of a wait and it's worth it to see a provider that I respect.”

“This is the best pharmacy in Minnesota!! All the employees and pharmacists are absolutely amazing and so nice it doesn't seem possible to getting any nicer or better, definitely recommend getting your prescriptions filled here.”

“Theses people are human! They go above and beyond to help. I’ve been trying to get a unique medicine for months as suggested by my oncologist team but the hospital they work in didn’t have access to it. Standard pharmacies don’t carry it either. Someone suggested Fairview and boom! They have it. I’m so grateful. I needed a mast cell stabilizer badly. Thanks for the save!!”

“This pharmacy is the absolute best in Blaine. Every person that has helped me has been super friendly and helpful. I’m never left waiting in store or on the phone. They really are a pleasure to work with. Thank you!”

“It's a nice small store, usually we can get everything we need. But during covid it was hit and miss. But as of late we have noticed that whole grain foods are either sold out or never in stock. Such as Whole Grain Tostitos taco chips, brownberry bread, or whole grain long spaghetti noodles. Now on another subject we have also noticed that prices are higher on some goods at this store vs. another Cub store located in Fridley. Such as Land O Lakes Lunch meats are $5.39 in Fridley but your store has it for $7.00+. We like the smaller store so we like to shop here but your prices are a bit on the higher side. I know things are getting higher but it sure would be nice not to get robbed for honest customers who shop and not steal food. I just returned bread to the store that was not properly cooked and got an exchange for another bread. I paid the difference of the price.”

“Pepper, the pharmacist, is amazing. Even when I entered as a new patient, Pepper spent excess hours working with my insurance on a co-pay issue, keeping me up-to-date along the way. It is clear that she truly cares for her patients.”

“CVS in White Bear Lake is a clean, well laid out pharmacy. It has all the essentials found in a normal CVS (medicine, health goods, snacks, beverages, local high school fanwear, toys, etc.). It's also conveniently located right off of highway 61.”

“A few Wednesday ago, I was in Blaine for a pickle pickup. It went well. Afterwards, I had two quick errands to complete before heading back to my hotel room for a work meeting: - Grab lunch - Get some drinks and snacks I visited this Walgreens first, followed by Arby's for lunch. Perfect! There was lots of parking in this plaza. I backed into a spot and headed over to this store. I was immediately greeted by Easter items. I was pleased that cute Squishmallows were a part of this welcome squad. I briefly looked at the nail care section. It was great. There was nail polish remover in a number of forms, polish, gel stickers, fake nails, and more. There were more Squishmallows in the seasonal Easter aisle. It was also Valentine's Day, so I saw candy for both occasions. I did not buy any Valentine's Day merchandise. I decided to wait a day, to take advantage of clearance sales that likely would happen. I needed pop. I got a couple of two-litre bottles. I was thrilled to see Diet A&W root beer. It's not as common as Diet Dr Pepper. I took a bottle each of these flavours. I also got popcorn. I headed to the checkout. There was one person ahead of me. I didn't have to wait long. I got a woman who was competent. She ended up putting a bottle in a plastic bag. It was different. I would have double-bagged both bottles. To each, her own. I paid with a credit card. At Walgreens, the payment kiosk prompts whether you want to pay in USD or CAD with a Canadian credit card. I always go with USD and have my credit card do the exchange. I got a coupon for $7 off my next purchase of at least $15. I thanked the woman and headed to my car. This store had everything that I needed. I wish that I had more time to browse. The next time I'm back in Blaine, I hope that I can take my time shopping here. (87)”

“This practice believes in putting the patient's needs first, before the pocketbook. Honesty and integrity is worth sticking around for... this is one trait that is extremely inconsistent to keep in business today and if you can find that, I say, stick with it, and the philosophy of all that comes with it!Phalen Pharmacy has always been a trusted source I go to for my medications, vaccines, or a place I recommend others particularly of Asian decent to go to. It's nice to be known by face and name! Their staff has always been respectful, and go out of their way to help me understand my prescriptions. They go the extra mile, and will even speak with doctors on your behalf if they think there is a better alternative for your meds based on your insurance and health history. It's honestly one of the most thorough pharmacies I've experienced!!Overall, if you want a pharmacy that is personable, cares about your phases of care, and bridging the cultural gap in healthcare, I recommend this place. Every place has things they are working on, but I can guarantee a mom n' pop independent pharmacy will have taken more time to truly understand you and your health history, AND advocate for you, than your big business chains (who are so short staff, they just want you in and out... like a fast food chain). So I hope those other's experiences does not overshadow the genuine work I've seen this pharmacy do.P. S. Not to mention it's right next to the Hmong Market, so it's a double win. Great meds, great food, great service!...P. S. S. It's unfortunate the different experiences of some reviewers, but during a time when healthcare workers have been expended and overworked beyond their limit, I hope you'll give them some grace... Also, fyi, med and med supply shortages have been a recent nationwide issue, so take that as you will... (Ok, off my soap box)”

“I don't understand the negative reviews - perhaps these folks caught an employee on an off day, but that certainly isn't enough to chalk up the entire store as a failure. Are you all perfect and have never had a bad day? Yikes. Guys, I really like this location and everyone is super nice. I am greeted every time I walk in, the store is always clean and well stocked (I always find what I need) and the ladies at the pharmacy are wonderful. Sure, the pharmacists are busy and sometimes seem a bit overwhelmed but have never once been rude to me. Because, imagine that, I am a normal human being who understands that sometimes we're just doing the best we can. This is my pharmacy. Has been for like 4 years and will continue to be.”

“This pharmacy staff is amazing. They know their regulars by name, they go above and beyond for their customers. Don't get me wrong, they get busy, sometimes I have to wait, sometimes they have to order meds in. They are human and do their dangdest. But a little human compassion and understanding works. SOME things are out of their control. I know I can't do their job, so I let them do it with the proficiency they have! I adore all of them, and I've been going here for 30 years.”

“I moved out of the state a year ago but having recently had some negative vet experiences, the wonderful staff at Como Park popped into my head. This was my go to emergency vet for years. They saw my roommates and I through dog, cat, and lizard emergencies. The most notable experience was the night my dog, Rose, died in November 2018. She was 4 years old and collapsed in our kitchen with no warning. We rushed her to Como but I know now that it was too late. Even though there was a part of me that knew there was nothing that could be done, they took her from my arms and did everything they could, continuing CPR until the vet spoke to me and got my verbal permission to stop lifesaving measures. The staff was incredibly respectful and empathetic, allowing me time and space to mourn and not rushing me out the door. They handled her body and cremation with the utmost respect. I would highly recommend them to anyone, especially during times of stress.”

“Cub grocery stores around the Twin Cities are exceptionally generous. They allow food trucks and small businesses to park in their lots to do business. Of course, they are parked furthest away from the actual store, but the support is nice to see. When you see a review from me for a Cub store, chances are that I am here to support a local business. It was the case a few Saturdays ago. I was back to pick up two bottles of Fire and Ice Pickles. Michelle is the woman behind this fine business. It was my second time ordering from her.The waiting list is a good month to get your pickles. I lucked out with my timing. She had a few pickup locations. I had arrived in town on a Friday. She had a pickup date on Saturday. It was at this Cub store in Blaine. The window was between 3 and 4 pm.I had no problem finding this Cub store. I was coming from Coon Rapids, so my drive was ten minutes. This Cub store is in a rather vast plaza. The store is wide. It also has a pharmacy. There was plenty of parking just after 3 pm. It was moderately busy.It was easy finding her vehicle with her company's logo on flags. She is a nice woman. She remembered that I stayed in Bloomington the first time that I bought a bottle of her amazing pickles. I was in Eagan this time.I paid with cash. She bottled and packaged my jars of pickles nicely. She worked until 4 am to get all orders ready for this day. I was up till 4 am as well, coming down from the Minnesota Wild winning game 3 of the first round of playoffs. She said that if I needed more pickles, to let her know. She would expedite my order because I "came so far," which was super sweet of her. When I ordered my first bottle of pickles, I consumed them within a day. They are that yummy. They are tangy, sweet, garlicky, with heat. So good!I was a bit better pacing myself with my two bottles of pickles. I ate them before my trip was over. Delicious! They make regular pickles seem so boring.I appreciate that she has Cub pickup locations around the Twin Cities. It allows me to discover new places that I've never been to. I can also figure out where Cub stores are that I could potentially shop at someday!(130)”
