“They are always happy to take coats, socks, especially warm ones in fall/winter, sweaters, sweatshirts, flannel shirts, boots, shoes, etc. When you find you don't wear something, don't toss it, donate!”
“We volunteered there during Xcel Energy's Day of Service. We had a smaller group, but we were able to prep a large number of school supply boxes for those schools and teachers who students are in the most need. A very fulfilling day was had by all.”
“A quirky but cool store for very inexpensive art supplies. My daughter likes to go here for art projects. For a few bucks, you can get a bunch of neat stuff.I like the re-used post cards, many of which have hand written messages on them.”
“Awesome, friendly people here. My husband rents tools here often for home projects. They have a free section outside their door, at least on 9/13/23, they did. And they have several things for sale in the entrance too! I told my husband to buy anything he wanted - he did! The only thing I would recommend, to be changed, is to make the signage - BIGGER -... The first picture (hopefully the way Google portrays them, it'll be my first picture,) shows how small the Tool Library sign is. That'd be my only suggestion! Great parking available, many entrances available too! Check their website for varying hours!”

“My experience with twin cities rise was was a amazing and eye opening experience. I had 2 amazing advisors Jason and Scott who taught me the skills to be successful in life by learning about the 21st century skills in career development and emotional intelligence. I learned so much about myself and why I have been struggling to find a job. I want to pass these skills on to people in the community. This program has opened up so many doors for me. I can't wait. For the next steps in this journey. Thank to everyone in the twin cities rise team.”

“Friendly, knowledgeable help and although they didn’t have the wheel I needed I would highly recommend them! They have loads of new and used parts and I saw great used bikes.”
“We just took the Labor & Birth Basics 2 class tonight with Mary at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. I would have to say that it was much needed to understand comfort measures. There were demos like birth balls, Rebozo wraps, and yoga mats. Alot of the material focuses on how control your situation and having good support partner. We did breathing exercises at first then transitioned to massage. Mary was great to explain things in her perspective of doula. Overall, my wife appreciated we took this class together. Already we got our birthing ball sized so know which one to get at Target.”

2620 Minnehaha Ave, Minneapolis“I absolutely love this warehouse. The staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. They have a huge collection of doors, flooring, wood, kitchen/ bathroom sinks, cabinets and countertops. Make sure that when you go if you have a particular project in mind take very good notes on sizes and what you're looking for. And make sure that you ask as many questions as possible because they are very knowledgeable.”
“I went to Phyllis Wheatley for COVID testing. I didn't realize the State had community test centers still open until I went on the MN Department of Health's website. I called before I went and the operator was super helpful in explaining how it worked, and also mentioned the vaccine clinics. When I got there, there wasn't anyone there except the support clerk. She was really helpful and kind. We had great conversation. She explained how to set up the testing account and I was in and out in a few minutes. I even got my PCR test results back from the lab in less than 24 hours. Oh, and I even got two boxes of rapid tests! Generous. I will say though that I think the clerk should be provided with a respirator based on her job (KN95/N95). She was wearing a cloth mask which doesn't do much for an airborne virus like Covid, and especially since folks coming in for testing are mostly symptomatic and often Covid positive. She shouldn't have to buy her own respirator or be put in that risk. I didn't have any on hand or I would've given her some. I really appreciated that Phyllis Wheatley was there for me, caring for the community.”
“Great tennis facility and we recommend for youth tennis. Our boys have improved their tennis game thanks to Fred wells. We also appreciate how they bring Tennis to urban youth. Our only wish is that it was closer to the western side of the metro, but it is worth the drive for us!”
“We went for the fish fry and the line was out the door and the parking lot packed. We learned quickly while in line that there was a takeout option so we seized it. I should've taken pics but the food was amazing. They served us in seconds and we brought it home. Everything was still hot and fresh. The fish was incredible, a wonderful crisp breading and well seasoned. The slaw was actually refreshing and light. The perogies had a nice chewy wrapper and delicious filling with caramelized onions and sour cream served with it. The little dessert was amazing. Not too sweet filling in an impressive choux pastry. Very impressed!”
