“I came in for a “walk in” estimate and the experience was fantastic, the front desk lady was very kind and the service advisor I was paired with was super professional 10/10 experience!.”
“Had a new set of Tires installed and balanced. Then vehicle had problems with the tracking system software. This is due to gratuitous complexity of modern autos. A fundamental part of this is manufacturers being allowed to keep service software proprietary. There needs to be a change in law, to give owners absolute rights to this software and their designee. As is usual the vehicle dealership was not in anyway helpful, but obstructive. Anyhow the second expert Heartland called in was able to solve the problem, but for a significant fee. Due to what I suspect was the cost of his equipment and software, was likely justified. This hassle caused a delay of 24 hours to get the use of my vehicle back.
Heartland were perfect gentlemen about and as blindsided as I was by how this went down.
So beware! Getting a new set of tires is no longer a straightforward proposition with this newer generation of vehicles. And of course no warning of this in the handbook. The marketers I'm sure warned that it would have been bad for sales!”

We had to call again when "that requested ride" did not show up. Turns out it just did not get scheduled. They did follow through after that 2nd request & sent a ride. “After my suv was hit by a semi while I was at work end of September, I couldn't get an appointment through the dealership for over 2 weeks. And even that was just for the estimate. A separate appointment would then be made for a different date to start the repairs. So I was looking out 2 plus months. “I purchased six tires for my Sprinter Van. I rely heavily on professional advice as I don't have a lot of time to do independent research. The appointment was made and they were ready when I showed up. Total time was around an hour. 20000 miles later I have zero regrets.Recently, I had an odd need. I had a flat wheelbarrow tire and I tried several other tire shops thinking that Bauer's specialty was not going to be a one off wheel barrow tire. I called and was told to bring it in. Turns out the tire was not usable due to extreme weather checking. The service manager called me to tell me that he couldn't repair the existing tire, but he could get a new one. Five hours after I dropped the tire off, I had a new mounted tire!I'm very pleased with both experiences and will continue to use and refer Bauer Built for tire needs. Thank you to all at Bauer Built Eagan location for helping me out on two occasions. I look forward to my next opportunity to work with them.”

“We purchased this SUV about 2 weeks ago. My wife detected the brakes were sometime sticking while i did not notice that when I drove it. They gave the GMC a vehicle inspection and found rust on the rear rotors that could cause the intermittent gripping feeling of the brakes. They found the front brakes and shocks had been replaced previously, but not at the rear.
I was given a good estimate for the brakes, or the brakes and shocks. they said the shocks would not be more expensive if we delayed those until later, since they suggested it only because they were 12 years old and had 145,000 miles on them. We replaced the brakes today and will come back for the shocks in, likely within 1 year.”
