“Always love the excitement-the tables are full of vegetables and fruits. So many unique things .Also surrounded by stores that are equally unique..I highly recommend going there on a Saturday morning.. even if it is just to people watch”
“Very interesting place. The event I attended was an art exhibit. Senior artists created a plethora of art in a variety of mediums. The facility as a whole is well thought out with space for activities and personal care assistance. I was informed they offer advocate services, mentorship and community fellowship events. Parking is readily available and easy to access. I really enjoyed the event”
“I came from Brazil and joined recently and I already feel like I'm getting better even in Brazil they don't have great coaches like coach Abbas and other coaches highly recommend”

26091 Trowbridge St, Inkster“Very nice and courteous people. My intake worker was great! Very understanding that senior citizens on low income need help. The food pantry had fresh vegetables and I got a nice package of ground beef. Nice selection of canned goods and cleaning products. I found the thrift store to be a little overpriced though. Would recommend!!”

16121 Reckinger Rd, Dearborn“I've been to so many animal shelters and SPCA over the years and adopted many wonderful friends. This particular place was overwhelmingly a positive experience right from the very beginning. I was kindly greeted by informative staff who guided me through the whole process. With so many wonderful choices of little furry friends, it's just so hard to narrow it down, but I'm sure you'll find your next "furry-ever" buddy as well. I shall return!”
“Excellent gallery. What better way to support this organization than to head down there and pick up some art created by our local artists. Your empty walls will thank you.”

Large kitchen where families can prepare food and eat together. Free wifi. Free shuttle service to & from children's hospital. Playroom, gameroom, laundry room & workout room available. You must do your part to help keep the facility safe & clean. Located less than a mile from the hospital.”
“today got my Butte giant bike worked on this place has me shocked and inspired… I’m 23 and have no car they had me in and out the door with my bike! Thanks for the conversations!see you for the open shop!”
“Blown away by this place and its dedicated staff. Their open workshop days let me fix up my aunt's old bike on the cheap - they have all the tools, knowledge, and used parts for nearly any job, seemed like. Affordable, friendly, diverse... they're trying to get people on bikes by any means necessary, giving away so much material and labor... hope it works for them and the city”
“First visit with my 11 week old puppy Boosie for vaccines today and very impressed. Amazing ,warm, and fast customer service from the front door to the exam room. I appreciate the service All About Animals provides to the Detroit community and love the staff puts into their work. Prices are far below in comparison to other places in the city. This organization is focused on dog rescues - I advise leaving a donation as you exit (if you have the means) to further support their great work.”

400 Sandwich St S, Amherstburg“Really nice staff here and amazing finds. I'm from Toronto and I wasn't even looking to buy and I got a good quality Blue Jays for $2 and a RW&CO blazer for $18. I was shocked by the blazer knowing RW's prices. I would suggest popping in, you may be surprised to find something really good.”
“An Exquisite place that's been with us for over a hundred years. Saw some short plays and a wonderful collection of Broadway Tunes curated by Sean van Schwartz. The evening included a light collection of finger foods from Lily's catering with delicious desserts made by Sue the theater creative director. They will have another great show in April so do yourself a favor and make arrangements to be there!”

“I tried to call one day to become a new patient and to my annoyance every single number I called was giving me an old fashioned busy signal. I went to their website and after some snooping around i was able to find what appeared to be an interoffice IT email address, really it didn't seem to be for the public but I figured whats the worst that can happen and i sent them an email. Within 15 min I had an email back. Not only did they not mention the fact that this was not an email address for patient use but they apologized and Informed me that their phones had been down all day, and offered to take my name and number and have the receptionist at whichever location I preferred call me when the phones were working again. Unbelievable for a non profit place in this city, usually places around here that cater to low income people are so rude and lazy and condescending, this was so refreshing. I can't wait till be a patient here.”

1776 W Warren Ave, Detroit“This is my 1st. Year as a Pack Leader. I was formally a Girl Scout Leader for 6 years. So transferring over to Boy Scouts I realized is to complete separate entities. Nothing is similar. They do things completely different... So when I first came here it was sort of intimidating but my nerves were set, by a lady named Regina. She was not only helpful in explaining to me some useful tips on our pack. But she also pointed me in the direction and what to do with some of our Scouts who were low-income and needed uniforms. I also want to mention how helpful Kevin from this district is and I believe Bob is someone else I spoke with who is also very helpful. The drive is worth it. Literally your one-stop-shop. I chose to go to the Detroit District instead of Troy. You wouldn't know and by the looks of it outside but this place literally has everything you need. At The Boy Scout shop you will find every single thing you need from uniforms to trophies to badges and patches here. If you are scout leader need guidance or need supplies for your pack or advice I recommend coming here.”

3111 Grand River Ave, Detroit“I was there for drop off and decided to check out the store also. The merchandise was well displayed and a variety of items. The prices were a bit high, in my opinion for gently used merchandise.”
“The most awesome group of people doing the most fantastic work. The set up/ flow of the center is very holistic to go along with the care/ support provided. Thank you.”
“If the magnificent Redford Theater is five stars then surely The Senate, it's grungier cousin has to only merit four stars, right? I mean, in my heart the Senate is five stars but in my head it's four... but I'm not trying to be that killjoy knocking the Senate off it's perfect five star Yelp perch. So five it is! I'll give it on charm and sentimental value. Old school single auditorium theaters are gems to be protected and the Senate is definitely a diamond in the rough. You can see how strapped for cash they are and how they struggle to address maintenance. Heating and cooling they try their best on but if it's too hot out or too cold it might not make for the best creature comfort. In the summer they actually show some movies outside projected onto the side of the building. My friend Alan and I caught about half of The Night of the Living Dead in the Michigan Ave side yard here. (We'd both seen it before so not being able to make it for the beginning was okay.) And last weekend we watched the Clara Bow silent movie It accompanied by live pipe organ! Maybe it's the climate change version of winter Michigan has gotten this year but the theater was considerably warmer than I remember from watching a 40s movie in late November/early December maybe four years ago. The lobby is pretty epic, with parts of it reminding me of The Shining, the beautiful chandeliers especially. Tickets as of February 2023 are $12 apiece, reasonable and if you wanna chip in to fight the decay that comes with the March of time they have a donation box, too. The latest project of fixing the massive ceiling which has plaster ready to leap for it. I think it's a bit better than when I was here to see Halloween in October actually, when a couple spots in the theater were caution taped off. The large auditorium never seems to come close to getting packed anyway but they seem to draw decent crowds. Concessions are gloriously inexpensive and I'd suggest leaving a tip in the tip jar as I believe it's an all volunteer work force here doing it as a labor of love but love don't pay the bills. Bathrooms are up carpeted stairs and thankfully clean but somewhat cramped, a window into a bygone era. There's a fenced in parking lot off Gilbert or you can try to find street parking on Michigan. If you're stupid enough to leave valuables in plain sight in your vehicle, I have to say you probably deserve whatever happens. I never have and have never had any problems of that nature here. Special events are a hoot here. I missed the David Bowie one but the Halloween Halloween show was a blast. I might be a little biased since I had art for sale here, but not too biased. It was right up my alley anyway. One more begrudging complaint for this five star review and I admit this is a very Larry David thing to be annoyed by - the auditorium walls are off white! I've never been to a theater with white walls before. They're supposed to be dark so they fade into the background when the movie starts! I know they're always playing catch up here - the new marquee is incredible but I hope this is something they can address eventually. The pipe organ backstage tour was the icing on the cake last Saturday. I had no idea how huge and sprawling those things are. Wow! For all its issues I love the Senate and the only way they can address them is if people come out and support them. So do!”

“Great place to get your life back on track. You can use your phone. Get drop offs for snacks, drinks, etc. helpful staff an counselors that do care about your well being. All n all 5 stars ??”
“for the price and location, given there is a lack of affordable gyms around, this place is pretty good. Its huge and has a little bit of everything vs a lot of one thing. They have one smith machine and another regular squat rack if you go during the morning there isn't usually a line like there is at other gyms. If you live in downtown and don't have a gym in your apartment building I highly recommend coming here over another place.”
“The ladies working there are super sweet, helpful and went out of their way to help me pick up my order. ive only taken a star away cause it's near impossible to find. But I'll tell you its across the street from a school that has some of the buildings painted beautifully with bright flowers! Sits waaay back off the street.”
“Love you Aunt Patricia Gamble. A dedicated woman who has been serving them for over 30 years! She keeps going to support the women and children of Detroit. I honor her here today! A hidden Jewel of Detroit!”
“Freindly, fun, very social. Had a great time, food was fabulous. Had the the old style feeling of the way Wyandotte drinking establishments use to be. Liked it so much I became a member.”
