“The Michigan Humane Society Detroit location is a great location. We had a tough decision to make today for our beloved Sonic. They helped us and gave us closure as to what the cause and issues were. They walked us through every step of the way. They were patient and kind. All the ladies there, from the receptionist to the techs and the dr. They even handled a matter at the front desk ver professionally. There is no long wait. They have good practices in place to ensure everyone is safe and has their space. If we decide to have another pet, we will definitely go back there. Also, they are not money hungry like these other so-called veterinarian hospitals.”

“This facility is gorgeous! Pristine and spacious. So many things to do! There is a climbing wall, pool, basketball court, indoor track, a wide variety of classes, many fitness machines, various rooms, even quiet rooms, and so much more. There is even a theatre and performance space. I look forward to exploring everything. They offer personal training too. The staff is very kind. Klark provided me with a wonderful tour of the facility and Ashleigh helped me sign up for my membership. Excellent service. I love the design and decor. Sleek and modern. Fun art throughout the building too. Plenty of seating areas too.”

“An Exquisite place that's been with us for over a hundred years. Saw some short plays and a wonderful collection of Broadway Tunes curated by Sean van Schwartz. The evening included a light collection of finger foods from Lily's catering with delicious desserts made by Sue the theater creative director. They will have another great show in April so do yourself a favor and make arrangements to be there!”

“I was extremely impressed ?..it drew you in warm clean and, of course, dog friendly.. the customer service was over the top!...however, I am disappointed with the return call. and trying to talk with a staff member regarding the puppy my niece adopted. I was told someone would call me back. Three days have not gotten a return call.. Not good!”

The facility as a whole is well thought out with space for activities and personal care assistance. I was informed they offer advocate services, mentorship and community fellowship events. “for the price and location, given there is a lack of affordable gyms around, this place is pretty good. Its huge and has a little bit of everything vs a lot of one thing. They have one smith machine and another regular squat rack if you go during the morning there isn't usually a line like there is at other gyms. If you live in downtown and don't have a gym in your apartment building I highly recommend coming here over another place.”

“This is housed in the iconic Senate theater. I was there to participate in a Moth storytelling competition called the Grandslam. I recommend everyone to go to this annual Detroit Moth radio show event. So much fun! People get on stage and share a five minute true story from their life. I can't believe I had the opportunity to do this and how well it went! Listen to the Moth on NPR and you can see videos of storytellers on the Moth YouTube channel and on their website”

Their open workshop days let me fix up my aunt's old bike on the cheap - they have all the tools, knowledge, and used parts for nearly any job, seemed like. Affordable, friendly, diverse... they're trying to get people on bikes by any means necessary, giving away so much material and labor... hope it works for them and the city”

“I tried to call one day to become a new patient and to my annoyance every single number I called was giving me an old fashioned busy signal. I went to their website and after some snooping around i was able to find what appeared to be an interoffice IT email address, really it didn't seem to be for the public but I figured whats the worst that can happen and i sent them an email. Within 15 min I had an email back. Not only did they not mention the fact that this was not an email address for patient use but they apologized and Informed me that their phones had been down all day, and offered to take my name and number and have the receptionist at whichever location I preferred call me when the phones were working again. Unbelievable for a non profit place in this city, usually places around here that cater to low income people are so rude and lazy and condescending, this was so refreshing. I can't wait till be a patient here.”
