Pet Care

Stony Creek Veterinary Hospital
61701 Mound Rd, WashingtonDr. Chambers at Stony Creek Veterinary Hospital and her very kind staff have been truly AMAZING! My 2 year old Beagle mix was diagnosed in August with Humangiosarcoma. I was faced with some extremely difficult decisions because the oncologist told me she was incurable. Well I couldn't live with that. I reached out to every place I could in a short amount of time, including University of Michigan and Michigan State University for help!
I felt helpless and lost and quite frankly, angry. No one wanted to help my 2 year old with a very rare form of Humangiosarcoma. I was so disgusted in the amount of money the oncologists wanted I couldn't get past it. I started to email with my vet, Dr. Chambers from Stony Creek Veterinary Hospital in Washington Twp., MI. I never expected her to respond, thinking she was tremendously busy. Well not only did she respond, she became my rock and my support through this crisis. She was just as disappointed as I was in the oncology prices. My sweet girl could be saved and others could learn from her terrible disease. Dr. Chambers and I talked over the options and we decided to amputate. It's been a week since her surgery and I feel awful, but I just know she will be in a better place. We had to test a lymph node and we are praying it isn't positive for the cancer. Her prognosis is unknown right now, which is so scary, but I will forever be grateful to Dr. Chambers for helping my sweet girl. I truly would not be functioning if it weren't for Dr. Chambers generous heart and brilliant mind. She is one of those rare gems. I couldn't be more grateful and more impressed with her and her staff. They have treated Ghost with so much love and kindness. It has been an absolute blessing that Dr. Chambers and her staff have come into our lives. I can't THANK YOU ALL enough! Ghost thanks you for loving her and for giving her a chance for a quality and hapay life.
From our family to yours, thank you!
