17134 E Thirteen Mile Rd, Roseville“Since moving in, I’ve loved the boulevard. The leasing office personnel are lighthearted and help where they can. The maintenance goes above and beyond to make sure any issues are handled in a timely manner. Tamone is a very hard working man, from the daily maintenance, to working the emergency calls. He dedicates his time to making sure residents are safe and comfortable.”
“I am giving it a four star review for a few reason:
1) My main issue is the lack of available options for people that drive EV vehicles. There are no exterior plugs outside of the apartments, and management is not willing to install charging stations for people that drive vehicles. A few years back, I was granted permission to utilize my own apartments power outlet to charge my vehicle in a reserved spot that I pay for. Since there’s high turnover here with management, this approval was not shared with new management. When I mentioned the previous again,I’ve received pushback from management. At this time, they are not allowing me to have any option to charge the my vehicle, as other environmentally friendly apartments in the area allow their tenants to do it (or have charging stations). I am left to feel as if Clinton Place isn’t concerned about being environmentally friendly, and focusing on things like installing gates and buying new pool furniture. I even offered to pay whatever amount of money that is needed to utilize a portable station at the office and pay for the electricity, but I’ve gotten no response on that for over a week. More on that in item 2…
2) My second issue is with having issues communicating with management over the past four years, or having management follow up with you Xsnorlx having to send several correspondence to request a follow up. Since Ashley has become manager (She’s good btw), things have improved, but there’s only so much that Ashley can do. She is only one person who has an overwhelming amount of work to do, and I do not fault her for this. To have to sacrifice addressing tenants needs in order to balance other work tasks isn’t fair to us. Obviously, this is a systemic issue if all previous managers within the last five years have the same exact issue with tenants in the same exact manner. I would also also like to state that John and Adam in Maintenance are saints. There are many times I am afraid to open up a maintenance request, because I noticed the amount of work that they are assigned on a daily basis. I personally would not want to have that level of work constantly, yet have someone like myself open maintenance requests that aren’t “critical”. I quite haven’t determined how they are able to do it day to day with a smile on their faces…
3) A few months back, we got a letter stating several items can upgrade our apartment for a reoccurring fee. These items used to be included as a courtesy if we lived in the apartment for a certain amount of years. Before I moved in and before the current staff, my apartment was disgusting. The carpet was knotted in certain areas, had bleach stains, spray paint all over the laminated wood; everywhere, every single outlet cannot hold a plug in it, the windows is so inefficient that they cannot retain heat in the winter or cold air this summer, as well as pre-existing damage that was noted at the time. Before the upgrade for a fee notice, various items were able to be changed upon request if they were dated, old, or inefficient/not working correctly. I shouldn’t have to pay an up charge for new carpet, windows, or appliances from the 80s/90s that don’t work correctly because previous staff did not follow the standard that Clinton plays currently holds for new tenants. I did go to maintenance back when I moved in. Because they were overworked then, They literally asked me and the cotenant for our cooperation dealing with the issues until they had availability. Well, they ended up all being terminated at the same time, and with the entire staff being replaced, it was never communicated to the new management staff.
Just to sum it up, obviously there’s room for improvement. I think Clinton Place needs to listen to the tenants feedback a little more, instead of making us feel like our needs are not important. You have done a lot of great things for me, which I appreciate. I wish you would be environmentally friendly, but I also can’t recommend this place if you aren’t willin”
“I have never known a manager that really cares 100% about their job like Crystal and her two maintenance guys who worked with her prior to and after the pandemic. They always shown great hospitality when ever you saw them. Kudos to you Crystal because you take care of all maintenance requests quickly and keep the outside complex's curb appeal clean and beatiful looking. Thank you and the team.”
“Hot water was out few days I wasn’t sure why. My first call to the office no one responded or repaired , I called a few days later and submitted request through rent cafe and hot water tank was ordered and replaced in 2 days.”

15 E Kirby St, Detroit“When I moved into the Park Shelton a year ago I hadn’t been considering moving to Detroit. But I was immediately charmed by the lobby’s beautiful architecture and the enticing selection of restaurants and shops and the lifestyle I imagined. My own unit has wonderful architectural details and I never tire of the inspiring view. The building management, the front desk staff and the friendly residents take pride in caring for the building and looking out for each other. Maintenance issues and repairs like heating and air conditioning, roof and window repairs, cleanliness, parking are address proactively by a responsible condo board and tenants are notified of unavoidable short term inconveniences. This is a great home base from which to explore Detroit and to appreciate what this amazing city has to offer.”
“Had the pleasure of working with Katie in the leasing office. She was incredibly friendly and approachable, readily available to answer my questions and provide assistance. Katie made me feel welcomed and valued as a resident. Job well done ?⭐”
“I have been living at the Jefferson apartments for 13yrs.
I have seen my share of managers and staff, but I have to give credit where it's due and the current staff are one of my favorites.
One stand out employee is office worker Tamika Thomas.
She is always very polite and helpful to me because I use a wheelchair.
She always makes me feel respected and looked after.
She has never been too busy to address any issues my family has had.
In my opinion Ms. Tamika is one of the most polite people to work in this building.
Anytime we had packages to be delivered or maintenance problems she was always willing to do what she could to resolve any problems even if it was nothing but some kind words to help ease the tension.
Ms.. Kim is also very pleasant yet professional.
When I come to talk to any of them she always has something funny to say just to keep up office morale or pass time.
They go out their way to make me feel welcomed when I enter the office or when we have social events on site
I have to admit I like them all because they are nice enough to actually listen to our concerns.
Mariah, the apartment manager is also very nice and I can tell that under her team a lot of the long time maintenance issues are finally being resolved.
My only real complaint is that I wish they were here years ago.
I bet that the Jefferson would be better than it was in its glory days because it would be obvious that people still care about the complex and the residents.
9 out of 10 for me.
Keep up the good work!”
“Ms. Jo is one of the best parts of the Cove on 13 apartments. She was very helpful and understanding. Any issue you have she addressed quickly. Definitely something that makes it worth the price. Everything is pretty much within driving distance (food, entertainment, shopping, etc.). Apartments are very ideal for those who are just looking for a nice, quiet, and peaceful place to live in.”
