I also love the signature clothing line this boutique features! All the neutral colors I absolutely love & the fabric is so comfortable yet chic! Today I visited their new location to see a pop-up shop supporting local women-owned businesses, to say I was so impressed would be an understatement! “Eclectic as all get-out -- this is a truly unique downtown gem! Love the vibe of the mother-daughter team that runs this place and their flair for vibrant color, pizazzy patterns, and unusual garments. Every single time I wear my tulle skirt from Lusso I feel like a punk rock princess and I get compliments galore. It's always nice to be able to respond to those compliments with: "I got it at a cute little boutique right here in downtown Kalamazoo." Some of their clothing is probably a bit too extra for the average Kalamazooan, but if you find the just-right occasion, you'll look red-carpet worthy in them, and they have some everyday wear as well. Definitely worth a pop-in when you're wandering along the mall.”

I think it looks super sharp to coordinate the man's tie/socks/handkerchief to the lady's attire when dressing up for special occasions, and this is just the spot to grab vibrant socks and ties in all manner or color and patterns. “I stopped in here out of curiosity, and although I disagree with fashion retail in general (especially imported), they do offer a large selection of local and regional crafts and bath products that are worth checking out! The owner very obviously loves cats, as there were opportunities to donate to local cat rescue efforts at the counter. As someone who has been volunteering with cat rescue and shelter for six years, this was particularly exciting to see, great work!”

“I just stopped in for the first time today and was a bit nervous and not too knowledgeable about suits (especially for my wedding) so it was very daunting. I was introduced to an amazing and very experienced, knowledgeable and professional worker named Dustin! He helped guide us and taught me a lot about suits, styles, and was very knowledgeable about what is common/traditional and what the "proper" things were and that really helped give us an idea of what to look for or do but was always supporting any ideas we had and encouraged that doing non-traditional things were more than ok! Absolutely brilliant person and am very thankful and happy with my experience here while also getting a decently priced suit. They may have a limited selection of suits in store for one size but the potential to order things in a whole array of colors is absolutely possible. I will absolutely recommend this store and Dustin to friends and family!”

If you're shopping for a gift or just want to treat yourself to something special, Initial Attraction should be your destination. It is one of the best gift shops in Kalamazoo if not the best.
