“Cute, quirky shop featuring some local artists. Fun to go in and browse, you never know what you might find! Fair warning, parts of the shop are quite narrow and can feel a bit claustrophobic. There are also plenty of breakables placed right at hand/eye level for littles.”

“avolio is primarily a teaching facility. They do have a small shop with completed artworks for sale, which was very nice. But I was very impressed with the teaching program they offer. I'm hoping I get back to Kalamazoo sometime in the next year so to take advantage of some refresher instruction and studio time.”

“Such a cute store! With lots of very unique items and lovely things you won't find elsewhere. They had the store front painted and it's beautiful! I only bought one thing as we'll be traveling, but I'll be back.”

“Kalamazoo is a great place for artists to live and work with the fantastic and unique support from the Arts Council of Great Kalamazoo! Opportunities abound for exhibiting through their Art Hop program, and several grants are offered each year. These kinds of opportunities are rare! I have been a recipient of many of the benefits available and whole heartedly appreciate all that the Arts Council has done to support and promote the arts community-wide and individually.”
“Went here during an art hop event and found this gem. Learned about what they do in here and it is truly amazing. My friend purchased a painting from there and she talked to one of the painters. I didn't have a chance to talk to any of the painters but I'd love to go again during normal business hours and explore some more. This is a definitely a place worth checking out. Even if you aren't into art and crafts, pls be sure to stop by and learn what they do. You will appreciate it.”
