413 W Mosel Ave, Kalamazoo“My dog had a lump on his leg that we were 'watching.' It started to grow and the vet said he did not believe it was a lipoma and it had to go now. We scheduled surgery, three weeks later or so the lump was removed and biopsied. It came back as a low grade sarcoma, rare in dogs. The vet gave the news in the best way possible, honest but hopeful. The tumor may not grow back. It may grow back. If it does, we will have to make a serious decision about his leg. My dog is middle age, not old but definitely not a young dog. The vet gave me a lot of hope that IF we have to cross that bridge, this is what we would expect and he gave me reassurance about the procedure. He was knowledgeable and kind, and again, Hopeful. If you ever have to receive bad (to really bad) news from a vet, Dr. Buckley would be the one I'd want to get it from. A week before Christmas, I cannot express how much his kindness means. And he was definitely right, that tumor had to go asap.
The cost for the surgery was reasonable, not as low as the previous vet but lower than most operating in the twenty first century. Lol.
My only complaint, there's always something I suppose... I don't like the candle in the waiting room. I have asthma and I don't tolerate strong fragrance in a small area. A great vet experience, candle excluded. :-)
I hope for many more years with this practice under the care of Dr. B.”
“Couldn't have been a better experience! Amazing staff, clean and inviting office atmosphere, great care and commitment to their clients and the animals.
After several phone call to get my sick dog into a new vet (mine left the practice) I was giving up hope someone would help get him in. The receptionist, Tina was the first person I spoke to who actually offered help right away and suggestions. I was luckily able to get in the same week. I had amazing service by everyone that helped him and the vet (owner) couldn't have been better. Everyone was supportive and made my very stressful week easier. This small business is definitely impressive! I will be returning here for all my vet needs and highly recommending them to everyone.”
“Dr. Dave was very patient with my Great Danes and took the time to answer my questions. The staff are really kind and supportive to doing whatever is best for the owner and pet both medically and financially.”

“Taking our dog to Texas Corners Animal Hospital under the care of Dr. Thomas Robinson and their competent and wonderful staff was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.
We have a large breed senior dog that needed a lot of extensive dental work. We were extremely concerned because of her age, size and amount of work that needed to be done. One of our main concerns was the time she would need to be under sedation, that concern was also very much shared by the doctor. Durning the initial exam and evaluation Dr. Robinson took a great deal of time to explain exactly what his action plan would be making sure he addressed all of our concerns. I literally can’t say enough good things about this outstanding and impressive doctor. We are beyond thrilled at his amazing work. The entire practice took such good care of our precious baby. We are forever grateful and have absolutely found a home at this practice. Thank you!”
“Highly recommend 8th Street Vet! They have provided care for 2 of our dogs. Staff are super helpful, caring & compassionate. Easy 5 star care & service ?”
“My cat was recently seen by Dr. Hammel. I’ve never had a vet take such care with one of my pets; he took time to coax my cat out of her crate rather than just take her out, and he showed me how to help keep her distracted and happy while he performed his exam and gave her shots. My normally tentative cat was calm the whole time and didn’t run back to her crate as soon as she had a chance.
I also appreciated how he offered a non-medication solution for a behavioral issue that I raised but also acknowledged that medication could be appropriate.
This was my second visit; at my first, my cat was seen by Dr. McFarlan, who listened to my behavioral concerns, explained what might have been causing them, and offered a number of solutions (again, starting with non-medication options but mentioning medication may be a future option if there was no resolution).
The rest of the staff, receptionist(s) and vet assistants, that I’ve interacted with are all very kind as well.”
“On short notice when no one else was able to come out and do a simple blood draw for coggins test, Lynn Applegate came through for us all the way out to Climax-Scotts! just for us, so the young ones could have the results just in time to make it B4 fair entry is allowed ? ?WE CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH Dr. APPLEGATE”
“As a new client, I was able to have my pet seen within just a few days. I had visited a new veterinary concern, the only one in the Kzoo area that currently offers emergency pet care, and walked out after less than 20 minutes of walking in, and hopefully will never have to return there.
PV Center have a friendly and caring staff.”

104 W Cork St, Kalamazoo“I brought my senior dog in for his first seizure, and everyone was so polite, gentle, and professional. It was so clear that the people at VCA care about the wellbeing of our animals. From security, front office, and vets, everyone was just incredible. Thank you for helping me and my dog!”
“Excellent care for my third dog over 25 years. All of the staff are warm and welcoming. They have their own plans for adult or puppy care that are very reasonable in cost. I highly recommend Oakwood Animal Hospital!”
