“Exceptional customer service. When I rushed to explain about a medical situation, the worker named Jason took no hesitation to help us out. He helped us to get into the other family member's room and called an ambulance for her. Thanks to Jason, she was able to get to the hospital in a timely manner.Rooms were clean, staff members were nice, the beds were comfortable. If you're looking for a place with top tier customer service and friendly staff, this is the go to.If you see this Jason, thank you for helping us out.Noteworthy details: Jason provided us with exceptional care and helped us out with a serious medical issue without hesitation. Give the guy a promotion or raise.”

“If you need an extra-special reception/banquet hall in the greater Lansing, Michigan, area, this is the place! We recently held a 90th birthday celebration for a family member at the Inn's Medovue Hall. All the guests raved about our fortuitous choice of this very charming venue. The main room was perfect for our 50 or so guests and would easily accommodate more. The staff--dedicated to just our event--was fantastic: pleasant, professional, hard-working, and conscientious. The food was wonderful: beautifully presented and absolutely scrumptious. The Inn's superb reservation manager caringly helped us choose just the right menu, design our table layout, and select food and beverage services. The main area was spacious, pristine and bright, with many windows and tall ceilings. It also had a good-sized, well-maintained dance floor, which we didn't use nor did it interfere with our mingling about. Seating, tables, and linens were in excellent condition. The acoustics were superb, allowing our background music (which we provided) to add sparkle to the celebration without encroaching the least bit on guest conversations. Between the cloak room and the banquet hall was a large meet-and-greet area that will easily suit a reception line. An intimate and comfortable seating area is located on the floor below, accessible by soft stairs or a spacious elevator. Restrooms, also located on the floor below, were ultra-clean and well-equipped (and, shh, their use could not be heard on the main floor!). We are very grateful to the English Inn for our unforgettable event!”

“I was in East Lansing a single night for a conference. This Marriot was great, and the service was excellent. I was not only able to check in early, but Heather at the front desk went above and beyond to be accommodating. I specifically asked for a room where I could have a view to (knowing I would be spending time working) and she swapped my keys for me after check in. Will stay again when I return to East Lansing.”

“Really enjoyed my first stay at this hotel. I was there on business. All the staff I encountered went above and beyond and were super friendly. Rooms are very nice. Even had a white noise device which I have never seen in all my stays. My only sticklers were the pillows are super soft so that was very uncomfortable. And the liquids wall mounted in the shower had shampoo and then conditioner and then another shampoo. I think they forgot to put the body wash in. Definitely. Not show stoppers, and I would highly recommend this hotel for business or pleasure.”

“Very good experience overall. Outside of the building is kind of ugly but inside is updated and very nice. It's clear they hold a lot of conferences or at least cater to a more business-oriented clientele. The suite was huge with only some small signs of the building's age (a little rust in the shower, for instance). Staff were pleasant and very helpful. My only complaints are that the bathroom is small to the point of feeling a bit claustrophobic and the shower didn't have any hot water. That was a very unpleasant surprise. Overall incredibly good value.Rooms: Very large, spacious, and comfortable.Walkability: There are a few things very close but otherwise you will need to drive to get to restaurants etc.Food & drinks: Breakfast was disappointing. Potatoes were cold and eggs bland.”

“I visited with my sister and out-of-town company that were spending the weekend. Beautiful, peaceful, and wonderful gardens to wander through. Three friendly cats, lamas, and donkeys made for great photos.”

“Mary was very helpful in solving my issue that was caused by another employee named Owen. She was very diligent in helping me get my incidental deposit returned to my credit card and also giving the correct information about the late check out policy. Mary was very professional and understanding. Great job Mary!”

“I have stayed in this area many times throughout the years. This hotel, by far, is the best. I am a very blue-collar kinda guy, but the staff treated me like I was one of business guests that is their normal clientele even though it was obvious that I was not. That, to me, means everything. Nobody ever wants to feel like they are out of their element. I look forward to booking here again!Nearby activities: Plenty of shopping and awesome restaurants within walking/short-drive distance!”

“Staff was always pleasant and cheerful. Great room for the price. Fantastic breakfast all 3 mornings. Several options to choose from even for picky eaters like my self. I enjoyed the full mini kitchen in my room. Also the desk with a nice view outside.Another thing that is a bonus about this location. All areas, inside and out were very well lit. I had no difficulty seeing the sidewalks or the parking lot at night.Thank you all for a great stay, and keep up the good work :D”

“The room was partially updated, (BathroomArea). The rest of the room was starting waiting for its update. A light bulb was missing from one of the lamps on the bed nightstand.”

“My two best friends and I stayed here for our Girl's weekend. We loved the stat, the beds and couch were comfy, we enjoyed the full size fridge and the dishwasher. We did notice some cobwebs behind a chair as well as a bracelet somone else left and a water bottle onto of the fridge aomone left. But there were no seriouse cleanliness issues. We appreciated getting some extra towels when we needed them. All around the staff and the room were great. We will be back.”

“Rooms: The rooms are spacious, but barren. One of the lights in the room constantly flickered, the bathroom looked clean but reeked of stale piss, and the floor seemed like it hadn’t been swept in ages, shower had great pressure and nice temperature, and the bed was okay but you can tell it had seen better days.Walkability: There’s a few restaurants you can walk to, both fast food and regular sit down dining. There’s also gas stations on either side of the motels property that are fairly close and have a nice selection of things.”

“Would be five stars but the valet service and the attendant at the front desk with a sippy cup need updating like the rest of the property. Look forward to returning once rebranded and having Mona who is fabulous welcome me back as Hilton Gold. Thank you Mona, Ashlynn Shaw, Cailin H., & Katelyn.”

“I’m here for a conference and got lucky enough to order a carry out for dinner. Halle took care of me and she’s the sweetest thing ever! The food is amazing, we were told it’s only been open like a week because of the hotel rebranding, so just pack your patience.”

“We were both tired and exhausted. We over slept and the front desk was supportive and allowed us an extended period of time. We ended up staying another night. Thank God. Definitely helped us out and I will be back again.”

“The hotel is a older facility that is well maintained and clean. The location next to a major freeway does create road noise.Rooms: The rooms are large, however the layout creates a smaller bathroom.Nearby activities: A large outdoor shopping center is located in the area.Safety: The general area appears to be safe.Walkability: The immediate area is not very walkable.Food & drinks: The availability of both food and beverage services is limited”

“Staff was very helpful in getting rooms coordinated after MSU mixed up some reservations… The manager (I believe named Erika) showed up almost immediately and was very professional + friendly, very thankful she and the other front desk workers were able to figure out the situation and find a solution so well! :)”
