216 Winder St, Detroit“In short: we couldn't have asked for a better venue for our wedding. We worked with Taliah to plan and prepare our wedding there, and the process was incredibly smooth, detailed, and organized. She left no stone unturned and helped us make decisions on things we never would have thought about - there are so many things, both large and little, that make for a great wedding, and it was clear on our day that they were ready for all of them. Every single person we interacted with at every level of staff was very kind, thoughtful, and attentive. Our guests remarked on how amazing the venue is; pictures barely do it justice.
We feel very fortunate to have had our wedding at the Gem, it was everything we could've wanted and more for our special day.”
“This place is truly the perfect venue. All of the staff are extremely helpful, the decor already there is perfect for any event. We hardly had to add details to make our event gorgeous. Thank you whiskey factory for such a fun evening!!”

500 Griswold St, Detroit“Beautiful building. Worth a stop in if you are into art deco or staying at a nearby hotel. There are very good coffee places nearby. I recommend the audio tours you can find on trip advisor.
Staff was hit and miss. Once, friendly and accommodating , another time, curt when a wedding was being prepared for in the morning. (There were no signs, placards or any indication that there was no access to the ground floor areas, so it’s really not on the general public to know these things, is it?)
They have tours. Call ahead and get a guided tour or an audio tour from the internet”

130 Atwater St, Detroit“We had the most amazing wedding here in April 2024. The 8 months of planning were made so easy due to Lizzie and her entire team taking care of everything for us.
The venue is right on the river and on a nice day you open up the garage doors so the venue has a nice indoor and outdoor feel. A lot of bathroom space and elevators make this easy on everyone of any age.
We cannot thank the entire staff for our amazing day but special about our to Chloe for taking care of us.”
“Reflecting on my September wedding, I am filled with immense gratitude and joy. It was, without a doubt, the most magical day of my life, and it wouldn't have been possible without the extraordinary team at Rock Events, especially the incredible Lauren Jacks. Our venue, the Madison Theatre in downtown Detroit, provided a stunning backdrop, and Lauren's expertise shone throughout the process. Her ability to work seamlessly with all our vendors, some familiar and others new to her, was remarkable. The synergy and coordination she displayed ensured that our special day was flawless.Knowing Lauren was there, I vividly remember the feeling of absolute serenity and confidence. She was more than just a contact at the venue; she was like a day-of coordinator, handling everything with finesse and professionalism. Her attention to detail during the venue visits and the valuable reminders she provided were crucial in making our wedding day perfect.Lauren's involvement made the entire experience much less stressful. Her calm demeanor and exceptional organizational skills gave me the assurance that everything would go according to plan. And it did! Not a single thing went amiss on our wedding day, a testament to Lauren's dedication and expertise. In summary, Lauren Jacks and the team at Rock Events played an integral role in making our wedding the best day of our lives. Their commitment, skill, and passion for what they do were evident in every aspect of our celebration. I highly recommend Rock Events and Lauren Jacks to couples seeking a dream wedding experience. They are the dream team that can make your wedding day as perfect as mine was. Thank you, Lauren and Rock Events, for making our dream wedding a reality!”

“Enjoyed the free coworking last month! thank you. Totally forgot techtown was still a thing. Only heard about it from friend...otherwise i try to avoid anything related to WSU”
“Perfect place to have a wedding or elegant party. The space was just right, and they provided great setup services. The drink prices were a bit expensive but they weren't weak so two will get you right!”
“I echo my sentiments from last year in that this is a great venue for concerts in Detroit. I love the sound here as well as the seating. This time I brought my son for his first metal concert and he loved it.
Absolutely recommend. Absolutely will be back.”

1 Riverbank Dr, Detroit“I've been here many times to play for events. The facilities are beautiful and well-maintained. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The views are incredible. The catering is excellent--everything is delicious. It's rare as a vendor (musician) to be treated so well at such a beautiful venue. It does take time to get here--you might imagine since it's just off of Jefferson, it would be right there, but it takes time to drive around the island. It's a beautiful drive, though.”
“Love this place! The facility feels new, and has a great calming vibe. Customer service and surgical team are also great. They also offer services I’ve never seen at a doctor’s office for overall health and wellbeing”
“This venue is worth every dollar! The owner is very nice and professional. We (literally) had to change venues for a repast, on the day of the funeral. I called the owner,he accommodated us (at the very last minute) without hesitation."Suite 813 saved the day" the hall is clean, newly remodeled and perfect for small/med. gatherings. I'll recommend this venue to my family and friends. Thanks Suite 813”
“I love going to all the events; the Garden Party, the Halloween Party, etc. Make it a point to see the art shows! They always select some of the most beautiful and unique art pieces to showcase. See you there!”
“This is one of the hidden jewels in the city , The owner is very accommodating and pleasant to work with . The event space supplies linens for the table which is an added plus and you can actually get in early to decorate added bonus . Thank you for for your hospitality . I love you place . I will recommend for other events.”

1 Hart Plaza, Detroit“i’m white it was hot. Not too bad but I’m just sensitive to the sun.So I had not only an umbrella but a little blanket on the umbrella, my darker skin friend was fine on the hot black monolithic amphitheater of the Carhartt stage. So when I felt my life force draining out of me, I went down a little further to the stage level, in there to the right was all the shade I could possibly want. And don’t tell anybody but hidden plumbed women’s bathrooms. Mums the word. Above us were thousands of people using Porta potty’s and then maybe tens of people knew about the women’s bathroom. But anyway 4 days ,three stages free music! The food trucks were jammin. I drank my weight in yummy lemonade. Now the GPS that I was using on my phone could not tell me how to get to this festival from ann arbor though I tried several times. it could not tell me where any parking was closer than 10 miles which was just …I don’t know I fell into some kind of Internet black hole. So we decided to go anyway and just research on the ground. Then amazingly free Street parking was right there handy. That was a stroke of luck I’m sure. But there was also a sign for $10 parkingOn the street adjacent parking lot.”

“Beautiful venue but very little leg room and i am 5'4. Also we just saw The Thorn and the volume was uncomfortably loud causing me and others around us to have to plug our ears for 25% of the performance. The staff was amazing! Very helpful when trying to find ur seat. Food and drinks very expensive like a 15 oz bottle of water was like $7.”
“THIS WAS A NICE PLACE THE OWNER IS AWESOME WE HAD OUR REPASS THEIR FOR MY NEPHEW DAITRIC IT WAS THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF SPACE FOR OUR FAMILY TO HAVE DINNER AND PARKING WAS GOOD”
“My cousin’s repast was held at the James Couzens’ location; it is quite tastefully decorated. This is a very nice venue. The space is intimate but large enough for 50-75 ppl.”

“The Cochrane House is absolutely lovely! I'm looking for a reason to visit Detroit again just to stay here. The shared space is very warm and homey. The rooms are comfortable with a spa-like bathroom. I wish our plans would have allowed us to stay longer!
Walkability: We were visiting to attend a hockey game. Both the hockey arena and baseball stadium are a few blocks away on foot.”
