We had an excellent tour today with Jacob*. He was knowledgeable and entertaining. We learned a lot. And it's a great opportunity to see the amazing details in the building up close. As a lifelong metro Detroiter who has attended theatre there and visited to shop, there is so much I didn't know. I encourage you to take the tour!!*I think that was his name. ??♀️

When is this place going to go out of business?? Seriously. They don’t take cash or tap to pay and hardly have any clothing-wise sizes in stock. Aside from books and ceramics, this place is an overpriced joke. Please give up your real estate to a more worthy company.

Jacob was an absolutely fantastic tour guide this past Saturday. I am a big fan of tours and take them as I travel. Rarely have I had such as strong of a guide as Jacob! He was informative, engaging, and really made the building and history feel as if it was coming alive. He crafted stories from the history of the Fisher and was such a pleasure to spend a Saturday afternoon with. I'd happily come back with out of town guests to show off an amazing space and guide. 10/10 recommend.

Hm, says on the sign it's open until 6, but was closed at 5. Sort of annoying since we went out of our way to shop local for souvenirs. On the plus side the building it is in is absolutely gorgeous.

If you're wondering whether it's worth going to the Fisher building for the free tour, it definitely is. We got lucky and our tour group was smaller. Our guide Jacob was friendly and fun. His passion for Detroit history and architecture really shine through when he's presenting.

I just have to give Jacob a huge thanks for a tour that was not just informative but entertaining as well. His detail gave a real insight to a building far to many take for granite.Great job Jacob, if you guide tours to other places please let us know.

I didn't know what to expect of the tour when friends asked us if we wanted to do it, as I'm not much of a history buff. It turned out to be an afternoon filled with Detroit history and gorgeous architectural piece of art!! A big Thanks to our knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide, Jacob!!! He really did a great job keeping us all interested.Onatrio, Canada

Jacob was our tour guide this past Saturday. He was very knowledgeable, personable, and funny. He has this tour down to a science and his energy and passion for the Fisher Building we're infectious. I highly recommend the tour to anyone interested in history, architecture, or Detroit in general.

Stumbled upon the tour with Jacob which was a treat adding to everything else we did on my 40th birthday. As a kid Born and Raised in South Detroit, who had to move away in my youth due to my family relocating, I love every opportunity to go back and learn about the city and my heritage. We went from the DIA for Van Gogh, to the Fisher Building and this tour, and then onto LCA for a Red Wings game. For me, the Fisher Building Tour was the best part of the day (after all the Wings only showed up for the 3rd!... that's OK, give them a few more seasons, eh?) and it's because of the passion Jacob had for the building and its history. 100 year old paintings are neat, but you don't get someone like Jacob talking about the stuff, even through the audio tours. This will be something I tell everyone about when I'm sticking up for Detroit out and about in the rest of the world...tldr: 10/10, best historical tour I've ever been a part of
