“I have been a member of Planet Fitness for nearly 5 years now. In all of that time there have been many managers that have come through but aside from being my favorite Planet Fitness and I have gone to a few of them, The Comstock Park store is my favorite because they finally got a manager that makes sure everything is done or is being taking care of before he leaves for the day. Brandon, the new manager, has been there for a while now, and the place has never been cleaner. Every time I come in to work out, there's always at least one or two employees cleaning up something that needs to be taken care of. Anytime there is a problem, he makes sure that it's taken care of immediately or at least within an understandable time frame. There's also the employees. They're super friendly and are easy to talk to. This, by far, is my favorite store.”
“It has been almost a year since I joined Orange Theory. One of my favorite places to workout. The knowledgeable coaches and real-time progress tracking keep you motivated and engaged. The welcoming community and varied workouts ensure each session is both effective and enjoyable. The staff is very friendly and helpful.”
“My family and I have worked with Nic and his team for 3 years. As a 65 year old, proper training technique, including a focus on all areas of my body and proper weight applications, is key to improving overall strength and mobility. Most importantly, Nic has ensured that I am never at risk of injury. Body by Choice is the only training experience I have enjoyed where I am seeing consistent improvement, no injuries and always feeling motivated by their regular engagement. I highly recommend BBC for anyone who is either just starting out a relationship with a trainer or someone who has worked with others in the past. They are all highly professional and focused on finding the right path for their clients.”

“I just recently started classes at Fever Yoga and I am impressed to say the least! All of the instructors are so friendly, supportive, and knowledgeable. I was scared to start because I have never done spin or yoga before but the environment is so comforting and it really feels like a safe space. As a beginner, I couldn’t ask for a better experience! If you’re on the fence about joining, I 10/10 would recommend fever, they have a great selection of classes and even better instructors!”

130 Market Ave SW #106, Grand Rapids“I was in town for a few days and did a drop in here. Amazing facility and friendly members. The coach that ran the class was exceptional too. If I were a resident here, I would absolutely have a membership to this place!”
“As a longtime member I highly recommended this gym. Staff if always pleasant and accommodating. The staff are always cleaning when not working the desk. Members are respectful and friendly as well. They are frequently adding new equipment and accessories. Lots of equipment so I never find myself waiting to use a bench or machine. I also really love having 24 hour access at a great price!”
“Mary and Mixhelle are not only amazing gym man Breaks they're both incredible people they always greet me with a smile and a bit of positivity whenever I get to the gym! This is easily the best gym I've been to.”

The environment here is incredibly welcoming, and it's clear that everyone is dedicated to supporting each other's growth. The owner, Tyler, is not only a fantastic trainer but also an excellent educator. He's clearly passionate about cross fit and creates a positive and motivating atmosphere. I'm excited to continue my journey here!”
“An amazing gym because of the dedicated owner and trainer, Dillon. I would not be any where near my fitness goals today if it were not for Dillon/Top Notch. Wonderful classes with a wonderful community. Every day I show up to TNF I look forward to it. Ample class options for any schedule. Top Notch also offers amazing yoga classes and on occasion breath-work classes with Malina Adler who is another amazing instructor at Top Notch. Grateful for all they have to offer!”

2640 Burlingame Ave SW Suite A, Wyoming“This gym is more than just a place to exercise. It's a great community of very friendly participants who always have fun working out. The coaches offer workouts for all levels of participants. I highly recommend joining.”
“This facility and coaches are top notch! My son made notable progress in his strength and conditioning while working with Justis and he loved every minute of it. My son is much better prepared for his sports program this fall because of his training at D1. He felt like part of the family from his very first workout there, the atmosphere is great. I would highly recommend this training and most definitely Justis! Thanks for pushing my son to the next level!”

1118 Front Ave NW, Grand Rapids“Old school in the best way. No mirrors just heavy stuff! Been in twice and I'm sold, Very high quality professional racks that are well maintained more equipment than you would ever need. Ended up lifting at night and you can hook up to the Bluetooth and play music. Its never been crowded even when I stopped in at peak times to check things out. If you don't need fancy machines just the right equipment to make you strong this is the best place I have come across in grand rapids.”
9AM - 1PM
1601 Galbraith Ave SE #301, Grand Rapids“Update: added the fifth star based on SUPER FAST and understanding owner response. Just another reason to love this place!I've only ever been here for the free baby gym on Mondays, so I can only speak to the staff and facility that exist in those times and spaces.First off, let me just say that the free open gym for babies has been AMAZING for my kiddo's mobility development and my sanity. What an amazing resource for our community and every staff member I've spoken to there (albeit briefly and really only ever pleasantries) has been very kind and they actually seem to adore the children in the facility (something that can be rare in certain areas where children are present). The facility itself:There's a wide variety of equipment that simultaneously appears well-loved and well-maintained. The entire place is incredibly clean. From the front entry to the bathroom to the gymnasium itself, I've never been grossed out or suspicious about anything I've seen here. They also have vending machines (that take cards!) on site which has been an absolute life saver for me in the past when kiddo was hungry and I'd forgotten a snack.Baby time:I wish this was done more often or had additional time slots, but I understand that doing something for free takes time out of programs that could actually make the place money, so I understand why.On top of the gymnastics equipment that already exists in the gym full time, staff also brings out kid-oriented things like small slides, rockers, egg shakers, scarves, tunnels, etc. It's a full experience, they really go all out for these kids.So why 4 stars? The music. 90% of it is great! But that remaining 10% which always catches me off guard is Christian worship music, just sung by children's choirs so that it blends in with the other songs. It's not a Christian organization (as far as I'm aware), and the kids obviously aren't old enough to understand but it absolutely makes me feel "othered". I want to be clear, not a single staff member has ever pushed religion onto me and I've not witnessed it happening to anyone else. There's no signs or art about religion. This is just about the few songs that pop up. It's not a reason to boycott or avoid, but just something that staff could potentially alter to help out their anxious and diverse clientele.Overall, it seems like a great facility. We're coming up on the end of the age range for baby time and we may even continue with their 18m classes if there's room.”

4151 Remembrance Rd NW, Grand Rapids“We attended a kid's birthday party in a rented room there. It is very affordable and a great location to rent a room for occasions like birthdays. They supply the table and chairs.”
“Rodney is one of the best customer service representatives, that I've ever I had the pleasure to come in contact with. He definitely is a great attribute to your company. As he is always warm and welcoming at the beginning of all of your workouts! The sana and the aquatics center are amazing and I love the energy that I feel arriving and leaving the ymca.”
“Neil, was great. We had a 7 year old birthday party, check in was easy, with a simple set up and rules for the event. Mrs. Kat and her helper were great with engaging the 20+ kids. Definitely will have another party here again! And super affordable!”

5747 28th St SE, Grand Rapids“Easiest 5 star review I’ve ever given. Every single person that walks in is welcome and becomes a part of the community. This gym has brought together people from SO many different backgrounds, all cheering each other on to success! There’s zero pressure to be or do anything, just healthy yet mild competition to push yourself to greatness.”
“After my husband died... needed different insurance so it led me to silver sneakers, out of my comfort zone I have met so many nice people... it's been beautiful love it here, life saving ??❤️”

820 Monroe Ave NW #150, Grand Rapids“Once upon a time I couldn't kick and I certainly didn't know how to box. Now, I can do both at the same time. Even an old dog can learn new tricks. RUFF!It never would have happened without the good people at CKO Kickboxing in Grand Rapids. Every time I attend a class, I'm reminded why I'm so glad I became a member. No one really wants to hear someone's exercise stories. It's like going to a dinner party and showing people photos of your cats in their Halloween costumes. Yes, we smile and nod, but we are secretly judging you. Cats don't eat Twix!!!!!But folks, listen you must to my exercise saga: I've never done anything that compares to kickboxing as a full-body workout. And I enjoy doing it. For years I've been a runner. For years I've concentrated on cardio, cardio, and more cardio. For years I've been a nincompoop. That's because kickboxing is cross-training. It's not just punching and tossing your smelly feet at a bag (though that's great fun). It's also what you do to warmup, and the intervals you do between pounding the bag, like cardio, and weight training, and flexibility, and much more. Hey, and it's accessible for anyone, because you can go at your own pace, and the instructors will help you.Every part of my body is better off for going to CKO. My legs, my arms, I swear maybe even my eyelids are stronger and in better shape. And we all know how we can let our eyelids get flabby.I got hooked (kickboxing term) thanks to Annarella: she's a very kind person and also an excellent instructor. I can't imagine her ever getting cross (kickboxing term). I recommend her highly. She made me a customer. But, I'm certain you will enjoy any instructor at CKO.I joined CKO for weight loss, and so far in three weeks, I'm down five pounds. I'm confident I'll reach my goals. And when I do, I'm sure I'll feel wonderful, look great, and be so fit that I will outlive my enemies. All because of CKO.The End”

4451 Hunsberger Ave NE, Grand Rapids“The only negative thing is that some of the equipment needs updating but other than that, you can't really beat the value of the gym membership! Overall costs way less than other gyms around the area and is generally less crowded since it opens after classes end every day. The front desk ladies are always really friendly and are always willing to help should any issues arise!”
“We were there for a track meet. The track is a really good 200m track. It has plenty of rest areas and a nice scenic few of the woods. I was really hoping to see some deer or something.”
“Great little gym. All of the free weights and machines you need. It also has a class and HITT area. Has full locker rooms with showers, two tanning beds, Staff is polite as well. Only reason not 5 stars is quite a few of the machines are older and showing lots of wear. Pads torn and 90% of treadmills don't go past 8 speed.”
“Very friendly staff. They were extremely helpful on showing what you need to do on the equipment.LGBTQ+ friendly. I'm trans, and have had no problems using gender affirming facilities.”
“I have been going here for about 3 years. I like the scheduled class times so that I can pick and chose the time that works best for me. I’ve met great people along the way as well. The coaches are super friendly, encouraging, motivating and helpful!”
