βThey have awesome meat selection, I love getting their meat packages. Like anywhere else prices are different for other things that can be cheaper somewhere else. I recommend going here for their meat bundles, definitely worth it.rhis is our Christmas dinner for the family it's ribeye roast.?β
βThe staff here is really nice and plesant, and it seems consistent with every location that I've been to. Food selection is great, and yes they run out of items from time to time. They have a unique supply chain system I've read. Anyways , I'll probably be going today. A set of unique artsy people tend to be attracted to Trader Joe's. I no longer go to kroger.. unless I'm looking in clearance / last chance or for small items, no more full grocery runs though.β
βNice, clean, convenient but small. The store has a decent meat section and surprisingly a lot of house plants for the size of the location.
This is not the place to load up on fresh fruits and veggies, but you can certainly get enough for two or three meals for a small family.
There are no bulk items and sparse health and beauty products.
They do sell alcohol, but I didn't look at the available selection. At a glance, it seemed like a fair amount.
There is paid parking on both sides of the street. The lot on the side of Trader Joe's is free. They validate it at checkout.
The customer service was friendly, a nice surprise these days.?
Overall I'd recommend it if you're looking for quick meals to cook.β

This wasnβt on one single occasion. Over the past week I had to visit local in Troy,MI (of my own doing).
I was working on a surprise party for my friend. Each time I was greeted shown around and given something added tips and tricks I hadnβt even thought about, making this event a tremendous success for all of us.
Thank you all for your help, support, and personal care you provided me over the past week. I canβt thank you enough.β
βThis store is a great place to refill everything from make up remover to laundry soap. Clair is the sweetest and is always so very helpful! This store will help you be a more sustainable consumer and gives you a great opportunity to support a small business In Troy! !β
βI love this place, but it is unfortunately very inaccessible for dining in. The parking lot is very rough for navigating with my walker. The "accessible" entry for the dining room is outside, meaning that I'd have to go inside, order and pay, then go back outside, and use the ramp to enter the dining room. If whole eating I needed to use the restroom, I'd have to go back outside, down the ramp, in the door, and into the store to use it, since their bathrooms are needlessly gendered, despite being solo occupancy. Also, the ramp was blocked at the bottom when we visited. Fortunately my husband was there to move the large heavy tangled up hose at the bottom of the ramp, otherwise I would not have been able to use the ramp.
Also, there is no accessible door button at the dining room door at the top of the ramp. The ramp is rough wooden decking.
Other than that, I love their food, the prices are reasonable, and the staff is wonderful.
Wheelchair accessibility: The ramp to access the dining room is outside, and so you'd have to go in the door to the store, order and pay, then go back outside, hope the ramp isn't blocked, and go up the ramp into the dining room. But, there is no accessible door opening button.β
βTheir rotisserie chicken is the best. Better produce than the big grocery stores. I was checking the strawberries for mold because Iβve been burned by other places so much and they were all good, they told me they get two shipments every week!β
βGreat store to shop at deli is awsome, they stand behind all products purchases and they greet you with a smile when you walk in the door. I won't go to myers they have sloppy produce old rotting potatoes lettuce sloppy on ground area not neat clean high priced etc.β
βI read about Detroit Peopleβs Food Co-op and once I heard they were an African American led community owned grocery outlet I knew I had to pay a visit and support this business. The store very modern and beautiful, there were the most beautiful murals on the walls, and the staff/customers seemed very pleasant. All of the produce looked fresh, There were a variety of dairy products as well as dairy alternatives Iβve never heard of. I got some kefir drink, mushrooms, broccoli, and cream cheese. I plan on using these ingredients for some dishes that I like to make for the unhoused and poor. Thank you guys for your service and I pray you receive Allah SWTβs blessings in abundance.β
βClean store and friendly service. Very knowledgeable about their products. If they do not have it, they will try to get it for you. Best prices and largest selection I have seen in Metro Detroit area.I go there once at least every few weeks. I find myself going there more then grocery store for things I in bulk. They have way more then just chocolateand candy. I also buy spices, baking goods, snacks, tea, noodles & their mixed nuts selection is on point. ?β
βIt was an ok experience, smaller than I thought. Didn't care for the put a 25 in the slot to get a shopping cart. No bags was another no go for me. The prices were about the same as Sam's or Costco, likes that the Kombucha was cheaper. Wasn't as impressed as I read I should be on a FB POST. VERY CLEAN , NOT ALOT OF STAFF. I WNT B SWITCHING from Sam's Club but would shop there if I was in a hurry and needed a smaller portion of something .β

βNearly every week I make sure to stop in to this Aldi to pick up grocery staples. Prior to the pandemic, they really did have low prices on quality items, but alas, inflation has also ruined this good thing.β
βIβve been shopping at GFS for quite some time for a local business that feeds 55 people three meals a day, seven days a week, 365 days a yearβ¦ so Iβm at the store A LOT, in addition to receiving a weekly truck order. The staff at this location has consistently gone above and beyond. The manager knows me by name. He greets me every time I enter, and takes the initiative to contact me about special stock he knows I need. If I place a pickup order, itβs shopped and ready to go when I arrive. The gentleman who stocks the freezers stops to ask if I need assistance every time he sees me in the freezer aisle. The staff working the registers and those behind the service counter have been nothing but courteous and helpful. Itβs refreshing to see staff working together as team to grow a business, and who make their customers feel like part of the team, too! As rushed and stressful as my work days can be, the GFS team is a bright spot. The people at this location make the 20 minute drive worthwhile. They all deserve a big a thank you for the tangible improvements theyβve made over recent years!β

βThis store is a gem. The tea selection is better than Better Health. They carry gluten free flours and the specialty sauces I need to drive to Troy to the Asian food stores for. Years back it was the bulk candy aisle that I loved, but now I appreciate the baking supplies and random shipments of Mackinaw Island fudges and McClure's pickles.β
βThe fresh fruit and vegetable prices were more reasonable then any where else, and was good quality food, I also bought hamburger there for my stuffed cabbage I was cooking, the meat was fresh and tasted delicious in my stuffed cabbageβ
βAldi is pretty great all around and this particular location is my favorite one.
Lucky me, I have agoraphobia, anxiety and sensory processing issues. Grocery shopping is an ordeal that I have to psych myself up for. Aldi is uniquely awesome because the choices are limited. I donβt have to waste my time wondering which brand is best or doing price comparisons.
Their produce is decent; some things better than others. The organic baby spinach and French cut green beans are my favorites and theyβre consistently good. They have a nice selection of quality meat, cheese and eggs.
The painfully bright, obnoxious lighting in stores always sets me on edge, but Aldi isnβt bad at all. Itβs somehow less harsh than the average grocery store and they never play music over the P.A.
I love, love, love that they installed self-checkout stations. Itβs my policy to avoid human interactions whenever possible, but on the occasion that I do require assistance the employees here are always very friendly and helpful.
Their plastic bag policy rocks my world. Bring your own reusable bags, collect empty boxes while you shop or pay for bags at checkout. Yes! Why doesnβt everyone do this? If people saw plastic bags as having monetary value, a lot of environmental issues would become far more manageable.
The concept of paying a refundable quarter for a cart is also brilliant. It means the parking lot is never littered with strays that will roll into your car and dent it. It means money is saved because they donβt need an extra employee to go outside and wrangle them. And that means youβll find organic free-range chicken eggs for at least $2 less here than at Meijer or Kroger.β
βMy go to store. Always clean and well stocked. Prices about average.
The recent addition of the chicken /fish carry out was a great idea. Had the chicken sandwiches and fries for lunch. WOW what an impression. Well seasoned and cooked. Taste rocked! Fries had lemon pepper on them a nice touch. Makes shopping day a nice day to get a treat for lunch as well.β

βThe owners are very polite and welcoming. Even if you purchase food from the fridge, they will heat it up for you and provide rice and side dishes so you can sit down and enjoy your meal. Itβs a very charming and cozy shop that reminds me of Kimβs Convenience.β

βGreat small local grocery store offering fresh produce, great names in the deli (like Boar's Head and Kowalski), delicious grab and go options (salads, dips, grape leaves, rotisserie chicken!) Don't sleep on the meat section: while it is a smaller than a traditional grocer, what they offer is excellent quality (ribs, steaks, sirloins, kabobs, fresh Italian sausage, ground meats, even a meatloaf mix!) Folks there are super kind, attentive and helpful!!β

βHave been going to this location for 4 years both as a customer and Doordasher. It's always organized, constantly being restocked and every single worker is so friendly and professional. Love my local Aldi!β
βNeeded a few items in bulk, so I stopped here. I was able to find my items quickly, as the store layout was organized. Cashiers were courteous and efficient. The associate scanned my items promptly, then I was on my way.β
βWe like to fix food in large portions my daughters are learning how to cook food and also breakfast food and we have found easy things to help make it easier to get the food to the tableβ
βAldi has really been saving me so much money! Groceries are high everywhere. This store is the only place that I have found true financial relief while trying to stock my pantry. I'm very thankful that they're in the neighborhoodβ

βI have been passing by E&N Market for awhile. The first time I went it was really nice. The store is kept nice. Customer service is good. They greet me every time. Joe, is the sweetest to me.β
βThe best fresh produce in Ferndale. The meat counter simply can't be beat. I dislike the redesign that brought all the prepacked items and that almost forces you to only use the self check out. I don't work there; if I have to check myself out and bag everything I should get a discount! It takes away the friendly faces and personalization of a community market.β
