3 Depot St, West Stockbridge“The employees are really lovely here and have beautiful energy. I love the shop as well! It’s also a major plus to me to have crystals at a great cost. If you’re stopping by the area or just passing by, I’d recommend stopping in. ✨✨✨”

63 State Rd, Great Barrington“Excellent local and independent bookstore. Great for browsing. Could develop their antiracism and international books quite a bit, especially in decolonial perspectives. Overall a fine independent bookstore.”
“Great collection of books. Owner is knowledgeable and well connected. Attended a book reading by 3 of the 14 authors that contributed to Fourteen Days. Fun and the Git Lit”
“Wonderful place. Found some used fiction here for which I had been looking for some time, and in excellent condition. Inviting and well-organized. Ripley the cat was curious about us but not enough to let us pet him, sadly. :(”
“Familiar Trees is such a great shop! Some of the most interesting books I’ve seen in a long time. I stopped by to purchase Holiday gifts and left with so many books I couldn’t resist for myself! Cozy atmosphere & knowledgeable owners. Don’t miss this place when you’re visiting Great Barrington.”
“I've been driving by that oh-so-tempting brown sign for over a decade, and finally -FINALLY- I left early enough to give myself time to stop in instead of hurrying past.Totally worthwhile. Fantastic selection, smells great, is just a beautiful stop. I highly recommend it.”
“What an absolutely wonderful place. This delightfully quirky bookstore rambles across two buildings: the main shop, which is already packed full of treasures on multiple floors, and the newly-completed seasonal "book mill" building (built right over the water) which the owner describes as being intentionally disorganized to encourage browsing. I failed to take many pictures because being in here is such a fun, engrossing, woodsmoke-scented experience: my phone stayed in my pocket for pretty much the duration. Everything from the smell to the wonderful stop-motion short film playing in a little cubbyhole to the lovely owner and employees and the interesting rooms to discover (there's almost an entire floor devoted just to massive photography books!) is like a kind of amusement park for book-lovers. The books are also priced to move, which is great. I 100% plan on going back to West Stockbridge largely just to bask in the atmosphere of this bookstore again.”
