“We had everyone’s car nightmare, a flat tire just before a holiday weekend roadtrip. Susan at Direct Tire promised and delivered. We brought the sad tire in and, as AAA predicted, it was beyond repair. At 5:30 on Thursday night before the Labor Day weekend, Susan, Service Advisor extrordinaire, tracked down the quirky tire and had us on the road by the next morning.
I have been a fan of Direct Tore for decades and this experience reminded me why they are the best!”
“I have never received such quality customer service related to my car. I called them in a panic as the day prior I had my tires rotated at a dealership, where the technician at that dealership forgot to tighten the nuts that connected my tire to my vehicle. They took me immediately, despite it being 1.5 hours before they closed on a holiday weekend. They assured me that if they couldn't look at my car today they would give me a loner vehicle for free so I could continue to work. after returning at 20 minutes to close, my car was inspected for further issues, a video taken of the problem so I could go back to the dealership, and they had decided not to charge me for the mechanic's time. I believe this is one of the last honest mechanic shops around, and I will use them for all future services.”
“What an incredibly positive experience at Express Tire & Auto Service.
My Volkswagon Tiguan has reached 50,000 miles, where some of the natural wear and tear is beginning to kick in.
I have been going to another local shop over the past 2 years and it was closer to my residence, and after I received my 3rd 1-3k quote/repair in 3-4 months, with the repair cost going up every visit, something was not sitting right with me.
I decided to take my VW to Express Tire for a second opinion after receiving a $2,300 quote at the previous shop.
I spoke with Lisa originally and she could not have been more patient and knowledgeable, even with them closing in the next 10 minutes.
I then contacted the owner Darren first thing in the morning, who was already prepped on my situation by Lisa, where he offered to give me a free diagnostic test to see what repairs needed to be done. That felt great!
The prior shop quoted 3 repairs and $2,300, while
Express Tire mentioned that I only needed 1 repair, a secondary air pump, and $875 all in.
So many mixed emotions over this experience.
You put your faith and trust in this other provider, and get blinded by the "shiny object" sales process, but at the end of the day it all comes down to integrity.
We all feel helpless when dropping our car off not knowing if the repair is going to be $300 or $3,000, and as humans we so badly just want to trust that we are in good hands, where it is a space, auto repair, where you can be easily manipulated if you are dealing with a strong unethical sales rep/team, who is using proven sales/scarcity tactics with you.
ie.
"You have to get this done today as the warranty is going to run out."
"I will give you a special $50 coupon because you are such a loyal customer."
"I just put in a call to a friend who can get the part to me a day earlier but I have to let him know today as this part is in high demand."
The list goes on and on, and when they have you in their palm it all sounds great, and is effective until you uncover that something doesn't smell right. They had my trust until the quotes began going up $1,000 every visit on a 50,000 mile SUV.
If you see a shop who appears to be doing high volume with a "well oiled machine", always do your due diligence and ensure they are just not a shop in it for the numbers game, where they are chest bumping each other on 31st each month because they hit a certain revenue number.
Be diligent with researching reviews.
Many shops have a system in place to overlap their negative reviews when searching for a local auto repair service.
If you want to find integrity, and an impeccable experience across the board, look no further than Express Tire and Auto Service.
Contact Darren or Lisa, and discuss your situation. Their "bedside manner" is second to none, where they just exude integrity, which will lead to a reciprocal win/win together for years to come.
Thank you Express Tire & Auto Service!”
“This was my first time at Sullivan . I went on line and booked an 8 AM appointment for a flat tire. I happen to wake up early and I called and spoke with David who told me to drop the car off whenever I would like which I did at 7:30.
David was friendly informative and told me that he would give me a call as soon as the car was ready just over an hour later he called told me it was a nail in my tire and that it was all fixed and all I owed was $30. I’m new to this area and I believe I have found the place where I will always bring my car going forward , thank you David and thank you Sullivan tire”
“Had a flat tire, Memorial Day weekend. Firestone in Watertown MA was open a few more hours, but gladly replaced our tire in 1hour. Mark, in sales , was cheerful and positive. It was a pleasure bringing our car here.”
“Mike was amazing. I called over in the morning, and even though Customer Service said they were full, they connected me right with Watertown & Mike was able to fit me in for later in the day. Not only that, but he had all of my paperwork printed before I arrived, and he knew exactly what I needed. Mike took a stressful situation and flipped it into an stress-free, easy, happy day. I’m so grateful!
A little piece of advice: Always get the road hazard protection - it saved me big bucks!!”
