“Looked up Google for a spot to get my Vehicle Inspection done as I was running out of time and my usual place had a long wait. Glad I found Central st. Auto. The service was quick as the last car was pulling out when I arrived. It's a small place connected to the gas station. The office door is around the corner and the office as such is just a computer and a printer. The inspection service was prompt which is what I needed. The only drawback is that the place does not have a place to sit while waiting. I was asked to wait in the adjacent store by the gas station which did not have any seating or restrooms. Not too bad as my wait time was just 20mins.”

“I needed to have my turning signals/hazard lights fixed. They were only working intermittently.
Two local mechanics (I've been a regular customer of both) refused to help even though I told them my car was unsafe. They told me to call back when the turn signals/hazard lights were completely broken. In other words, they wanted me to risk getting into a car accident.
The car dealership wouldn't even look at it because the car is more than 10 years old.
John Francis told me to come right on over. He stopped what he was doing to look at the car. He determined that it needed a new flasher, ordered the part, and had me come back the next day. It took 20 minutes for him to fix it.
Even if he made a mistake and replaced the wrong part, if I come back, he will replace the other possible culprit (a broken switch). But he said, in his many years of experience, it's rarely a switch problem. The flasher will be the solution.
You know what? Either of the other two mechanics who turned me down could have provided me with the same courtesy.
I will now never bring this car to another mechanic.

“The best customer service. I went in to have my car looked at for a rattling noise when hitting the gas over 25mph. It was a clamp that snapped on the flex pipe underneath the car. I drove the car back from Florida after having it serviced , but still didn’t like the the feel of the brakes. I took it to several shops along 95 and 1 here on town. They all either bled and/or added fluid but the problem persisted My neighbor dave, who is on the car field said I take it to Ernesto and I did. He was It was the only one who recognized that theses brakes could easily be put on backwards He replaced thembrakes made some other repairs and the car was amazing
I liked how up front he was about the process, that he gave me a price after the diagnostic and that it was the same price when finished

“Got an alignment… so far it seems accurate... although I only needed a front serviced but (all shops) would only sell a 4 wheel which is aggravatingly a forced cost with no insured labor for the fee. ??
Ironically Meineke advertises a free alignment check which begs the question that if they found only the front or rear end was misaligned how don they ethically still force/charge for an unneeded front+rear service contrary their own test results??.
Staff seemed indifferent, but that seems the norm from all shops at least when I was getting quotes… so they ALL could do a lot better with affect.
This location unfortunately is very unkept & “expired” appearance right from turning into the rough parking lot to the view inside bays and the waiting area which also gives a vibe of general disinterest.
Fair ti say I definitely crossed my fingers given the many “should I trust this place” vibes and can’t say with confidence I’d return for anything “involved” as this was a “cold call” appointment having had no recommendation myself.
Definitely important intangible deficiencies that are totally correctable/remediable with a bit of time, effort and interest though.
I’m rooting for them as Meineke claims shops are independently owned.”
“I recently presented to this shop with a slow leak in the rear tire of my BMW. the tire needed to be replaced. The staff were very friendly helpful and reassuring. I needed to have a tire ordered and opted to leave my car overnight. The next day they did the work first thing in the morning and then did a last minute oil change for me. The price was shockingly reasonable. They also offer a veteran discount. Highly recommend will return”
