If you play tennis, need a single drop-in, or are just looking to be a bit active this is probably a great gym.If you really lift weights or train movement/functional fitness this is a subpar, dated gym. There is space but it’s not utilized for actual lifting or big movement in mind. Currently there is one room to do any floor movement and it is almost always roped off for the one trainer (for example that is where the only rings are). Sadly this is the most functional room they have to warm up or do full bodyweight/functional exercises.The layout of the actual gym is akin to a nice basement gym- awkward spacing and equipment choices, often missing items, rarely cleaned.

Sarah is the best of the very best. She keeps this lady I've been seeing in unbelievable shape. Not a day goes by when I don't secretly thank Sarah for the incredible results she has achieved for my favorite client of hers. I can see why she is in such demand; she does remarkable work with the client's interest always her first priority.

I love the Mid-Cape Athletic Club! I especially love it because Sarah Dowcett is my personal trainer, and she is the best personal trainer I have ever had. She is professional, personable, and so knowledgeable about the human body. As a 60-something I always have an ache or pain, and she has ready answers for me. My fitness level is the highest it’s ever been because of the work she has done with me to strengthen my entire body. I HIGHLY recommend both the club and Sarah!

Mid-Cape has a great sense of community! The staff is extremely friendly and provides a variety of great work out classes! Marianne teaches a cardio fit class that I really enjoy! I also love being able to play pickle ball on the indoor courts in the off season! I would highly recommend this gym!

The best decision we ever made when we moved to Cape Cod 3 years ago was to join Mid Cape! We have made many friends there and have enjoyed the classes offered. All the instructors bring something unique to our workouts, we especially love the new “Total Body Circuit” class taught by Marianne.

I really love this place. I just recently moved to the Cape and have found everyone here so welcoming, from the receptionist to the staff. The tennis pros are terrific, and the Friday “playing with the pro” program is instructive and fun (Andreas, Jim, Sam, Bob and Anna are terrific). Sarah is a great personal trainer —her workouts are challenging but really fun, and my fitness level has increased as well as my fitness for playing tennis —-she has tailored my workouts for maximum effectiveness. I think that she is terrific.I highly recommend Mid-Cape and Sarah (and the tennis pros) highly.

Sarah Dowcett is an awesome personal trainer. Her experience shows in how quickly she can identify problems and develop a plan specific to an individuals needs. Her workouts are creative, tough but fun and never the same. She’s high energy with a great sense of humor. She watches every move with intensity and focus and keeps you in perfect form each rep. She has a plan A,B and C if a particular movement isn’t working for you. I cannot praise her enough! She’s changed our bodies and our lives!

I have been training with Head Trainer Sarah Dowcett for four months. The difference I’ve seen in such a short time is encouraging and life changing. After a battle with cancer in 2022, my muscle mass, strength and stamina were at an all time low. Sarah designed a program to help me regain my strength and increase muscle as well as stamina. She also focuses on specific exercises to help with my golf game.She is hands down THE best trainer I have ever worked with!! She knows instinctively when to push you and is always positive and encouraging.

It is such fun working with Sarah. But it is much more than fun. She has helped me recover from two injuries. And at 79 I am stronger than I was 40 years ago. She gives me good cues to correctly do an exercise. It is a boost to be able to do something I could not awhile ago. Don’t know what I would do without her.

I love love love this gym! The exercise classes are amazing…many different types to choose from so you get a well rounded workout. All of the instructors are excellent, very personable and knowledgeable. Marianne is and has been a dedicated member of the staff. I have made many friendships here and look forward to being here everyday!!!

I’m hesitant to write this review. The more the word gets out about Sarah — I will never get to see her. She is so good — I travel 45m each way for our training sessions- even in summer traffic.I have seen so many different trainers. All in Boston— some at huge fancy gyms— some at small boutique gyms. They were all fine. Knowledgeable and experienced (so I thought).Besides Sarah being kind and friendly, she is very serious about her craft!She puts you through challenging exercises. No two sessions are the same. She pushes you while motivating and cheering you on. She has changed my body composition like no one else. I’m a 53 year old woman; changing this banged up body is incredibly hard.Sarah’s nickname “The Sarahinator” is incredibly fitting. You won’t be disappointed— it’s worth wobbling down the stairs and having a hard time brushing your teeth.
