“I went there today and brought Oxtails the price was under $9.00 a pound I found out it's cheaper to buy the tail and have them cut to your size what really made my day was they trim the fat off the meat before weighing it that's if your buying it so I got 6 pounds for $51.00 you can't beat or find that price any other place I love their cut up small chicken size my granddaughter loves it”

“Liquor. Lottery. Newports. They left off two words from the name. Liquor Store. It's, or it should be, Blue Hill Superette Liquor Store. What the heck is a "superette" anyway? The superette is located on prime retail space, too- between Breezeway Bar & Grill and Packy's. Doesn't get much better than that in Boston, I tell ya. So, the spot is BIG, well-lit, clean, and has a more than adequate selection of all the spirits the neighborhood clientele prefers . It even has an ok wine selection, which is really surprising (go 'head, Blue Hill Superette!). The first language of the employees/owner is Spanish, but no worries, they know English, too. Oh, the place is also a little convenience store, too- various corner store items available. The shelves are a little dusty, and I wouldn't buy anything other than liquor here for fear of the expiration date, because again- it's a neighborhood (big) liquor store. That's what you come here for- liquor, lottery, and Newports (if you smoke).”

“This is a great place for a quick grocery run. A good variety of multicultural foods are available. It even has a deli and a fresh fruits and vegetables section. I’ve found a lot of delicious things looking around here that I may have never tried otherwise.The only downside is that it can feel unsafe at certain hours of the night due to the area of Allston where it’s located. But as long as one is not reckless, there should be nothing to worry about.”

“I was pleasantly surprised by the vast selection at Donelan's. They had everything from produce to gourmet cheeses and a good selection of international wines. I was particularly impressed with their selection of organic vegetables and artisan breads. The staff was incredibly helpful, too. They helped me find a rare bottle of Italian wine I'd been searching for and even gave me some delicious recipe suggestions. The store itself was spotless and had a warm, inviting atmosphere. I left feeling happy and satisfied with my shopping experience. I highly recommend checking it out!”

“This is Brothers marketplace, owned by Roche Brothers. It's definitely more unique. More organic choices, choices for vegans also. Gorgeous flowers, mochi and kombucha, cold brew coffees. Picking up treats from local companies, such as Iggy 's bread, scrumptious, and individual slices of cheesecake, cupcakes, and cakes. It's always a pleasure to shop there!”

“Small compact carts that always roll smoothly so you're not fighting your cart and other people for territory. They play absolute bangers on the sound system. The store is a reasonable size so you're not doing a half marathon to go from one side to the other and back when you miss something. Strong plastic bags with a handle not brown paper bags that tear and spill all your groceries on the floor when you're carrying groceries inside. They sell beer and wine. Good selection of stuff plus hot bar and sushi etc. Maybe there's a premium to shop here (I really don't know, groceries have gotten more expensive no matter where you go) regardless I don't care grocery shopping isn't a soul-sucking chore here.”

“FIRST CHECK MY EDITS BELOW. I've had hundreds of sandwiches here over three years. Wonderful place that'll give you a nice sandwich for $9. You can add or subtract ingredients for little to no extra cost. Most sandwiches are made rapidly. You ought to check the recipe and make sure you're getting what you ordered. People have grabbed my order many times.Edit Oct 2020: the quality of sandwich art has decreased with the employment of new workers during Covid and the shifts the OG artisans are not present2023: yes the employees just don't know how sandwiches are made so be vocal with it”
