“the clerk recommended a Surfside tea to me instead of the usual twisted tea as it’s vodka based and not malt as well as more than 150 calories less per can. they look out for you here will definitely comeback loved the teas new favorite product!”
“such a great store, whether you have little knowledge of wine or you are somewhat of an expert. they have a great selection (love that they carry a lot of orange wine) and the staff is knowledgable + kind”
“Hillsides is a cosy store I’ve been visiting for years. They have a variety of beer and wine on shelf i got several great recommendations for trying new brands. Good services and walk-in experience.”
“Very cute little shop with fun and great quality products from all across Europe.
Linda (as well as the 2 other gentlemen) is so warm and welcoming and offered great advice on their products. Their flourless cookies are incredible; crispy on the outside, fluffy like meringue and nutty with some fudge on the inside. The homemade chutney and curry cheese is super delicious. Favorite shop in Wellesley ❤️”
“Basic sandwiches done well and in a cute retro general store vibe. And right next to their bakery/cafe so whether you like breakfast, lunch, or brunch, can do whatever you want.
I like their seasonal drinks like strawberry lemonade and excited to see what else they offer at different times.”

203 Main St, Everett“Mostly you are always served by the owner that means that they always serve you in the best way, the employees are friendly, charismatic ?? they sell alcohol in many places but this one they serve you very well ?”
“Awesome stop that makes you feel like they care about you as the customer. Always great recommendations in the wine and spirits categories if you need a solid suggestion. Excellent whiskey store picks that they let you try in store. Will keep coming back vs bothering to go elsewhere”
“Great wine selection and always something new to try. Ask the staff as they are super knowledgeable and helpful. You’ll find lots of small growers and uncommon vineyards with peoples favorites too.”

341 Hanover St, Boston“If you are looking for an understated place to find fantastic organic wine without the pretentiousness and the high prices, this is your place. The wife and I sampled and took home several bottles. Amazing experience.”
10AM - 10PM
98 Van Ness St, Boston“Only did a brief walk by, but looked in good condition. Don’t really see the practicality though because one can’t bring beer from outside Fenway into Fenway. Suppose if one wants to drink a lot before the game and get nice and drunk that would make sense.
Kid-friendliness: Very Friendly. They let the kids have a sip or two or three or four from what I saw from the window.”
8AM - 10PM
435 Hyde Park Ave, Roslindale“Theyve got everything you need including premium cigars packed from the manufacturers in plastic humidor travel bags that I just realized in the last month after a couple yrs., the best prices in town, & the best price Ive found anywhere on what was already my favorite cigar--Perdomo Champagne. The storefront is tight but the selection is impeccable, they own the whole bldg. & I'd say theyve got about 8x the storage space, & the whole staff is gr8. Id drive elsewhere if I thought another store were better, & if I move outta the neighborhood I'll still patronize this shop.”
10AM - 9PM
228 Cypress St, Brookline“Excellent collection of good whiskies and wines. They helped me select an excellent bottle of single malt for a gift and I found a very rare bottle of wine which was very hard to find.”
“I stopped in here purely based on searching for wine bars around Boston South Station. I wanted to kill time before my Amtrak home after a conference. And this place was one of the best spontaneous stops I've made in a long time!
The wine was great, the people were fun, and the dog welcomes you like you've lived there forever. Beautiful place to enjoy a wine (or two) after a long day. They also had a well stocked wine bottle shop attached, if you need something to go.”
10AM - 9PM
1024 Beacon St, Brookline“This is a clean place with a good variety of wines, especially biodynamic and unfiltered types. Friendly employees. Though I did notice a few items that were a few dollars more than I've seen elsewhere, the majority of the prices didn't seem out of the ordinary. Overall, a nice little neighborhood shop.”
9AM - 10PM
369 Trapelo Rd, Belmont“Great store for specialty spices, herbs, oils, and seasonings and foods. Great selection of wines and fine spirits! Employees are friendly and personable and willing to help with any questions, or thoughts you may have about any of there products. I was impressed with there selection of multiple types of hot sauses! Left the store with two hot sauses and some hot honey!! Check them out if your in the area!”

330 Newbury St, Boston“I’m in Sydney Australia. Found Bauer Wine and Spirits online when I was looking for a Boston retailer to send a gift to a Boston friend for her wedding. Service was great: communicated with me to confirm details and the delivery was made quickly.”
“You can’t tell me you got the best liquor ? store around your area’s, the best liquor store ask them hennything they got it. Whenever you go in there ask for santos best teller can’t miss him.”
10AM - 9PM
632 Main St, Winchester“Good selection of spirits, and they have several store picks that vary throughout the year and are worth checking out. Should have several available for sampling at any given time that allow you to try before committing. We are a bit spoiled for choice locally, but this is certainly a store worth visiting if you're in the area.”
“I haven't been there for years but went this afternoon and it was a great surprise. They have so many wonderful items that we found lots of things to get for holiday gifts. Unusual jams, locally made chocolates, my friend's favorite anchovies, great crackers and even some rose. The owner and his staff were very nice too. This place is a wonderful find and a well kept secret. Let's change that. It's nice to have a little store like this in the neighborhood when all of the mega stores are everywhere. Let's support it so it stays around. Boston's needs special places like this.”
11AM - 6PM
669 Main St, Waltham“I learn something about Italian wine every time I go here. A very well curated collection of regional Italian wines. We got great recommendations from David for wineries to visit on our last trip to Italy. Get on their email list! The reviews are great reads.”
9:30AM - 8PM
45 Union Square, Somerville“I love this grocery store so much. In a fairly small square footage, they have such amazing variety of fresh produce (including shiso leaves, which are so hard to find!!), frozen foods, sushi grade fish, kitchenware, freshly prepared foods, and a truly unbeatable sake selection. (The only area they lack in is soy milk; I really wish they carried some imported Japanese brands, as American soy milk is so bad and has so many fillers in it. But for a grocery store to not carry just one thing I’m looking for is a really good track record!) It’s mostly Korean and Japanese groceries, but some offerings branch out into Thai, Chinese, and even Indian ingredients. To boot, Paul is truly the kindest proprietor and also really knowledgeable about the products he sells if you have questions. I was once debating between two types of matcha powder and couldn’t quite tell the difference from the Japanese label, so he pointed me in the right direction.I’ve now been coming here for a few years, but during I think my third or fourth visit I told Paul this was my favorite grocery store and he ran into the produce section and grabbed a HUGE Asian pear to give me as a gift in gratitude. It was so unexpected and so meaningful to have that kind of personal interaction in an increasingly isolated world.I love shopping at this local business over H Mart, and I really hope they are in Union Square for decades and decades to come. With the neighborhood changing so rapidly right now, I do worry about this little spot. Support it if you live in the area!”
“Not the best location, but awesome place!
Great selection of liquors, and some that I can’t find at other places, also good prices. I always stop here when I’m in the area.”
10AM - 7PM
448 Common St, Belmont“Web searching local champagnes lead me here and first time visiting. Very nice wine and cheese and more. Very nice and wide selection of RM growers Champagnes, largest I have seen around here. Impressive. Was able to talk with the kind and knowledgeable in-house wine guru, and heard some nice recommendations of Blanc de Noirs, and picked Eric Rodez Brut Grand Cru Blanc de Noirs for a special celebration. Enjoying every gold drop of it. Thank you very much for the recommendation! Will definitely visit again for another Blanc de Noir bottle.”
10AM - 7PM
1160 Boylston St, Brookline“Definitely a high end wine shop where you'll find excellent Bordeaux, Burgundy & California wines. But don't let that intimidate you, the staff is welcoming, courteous, highly professional and eager to help anyone who walks in the door. You'll find wines from all around the world. My favourite section is the selection of low cost ($13) wines. They're all good! Some are regular staples you can expect to find year round, but there's plenty of turnover to try some unusual selections. And to top it off, buy 12 bottles and get the store discount! Finally, I suggest dropping by on a Saturday afternoon for their in-store wine tasting.”
10AM - 9PM
303 Columbus Ave, Boston“This shop is very clean and pleasant, with a wide variety of unique wines I haven't seen anywhere else. However, although I know that the specific organization of the shop by "weight" of wine is the intended feature, it's not super helpful for finding specific bottles yourself. Fortunately, the employees were friendly and helpful, so asking wasn't a real chore.Overall, a great place to find something new and different! As an aside: another reviewer mentioned the stickers on the bottle - but the employee at the register peeled them off for me at checkout before I'd even noticed they were there! So perhaps someone just forgot in his case. And it looked very easy to peel them off anyway, so not a big deal in my book.”
10AM - 7PM
173 North St, Boston“Beautiful Here ! Feels Very Authentic and Warm. Glad to Have Stopped In! Very Large Selection To Choose From!

“Cork and Board is a fabulous addition to Newton Center. We are very fond of Ryan Gott, the owner, as he helps us personally each time we visit. He now knows us and tells us wines and beers we might enjoy accordingly. We also like the food selection and the gift section. We always find something fun (and delicious!) to take home. Definitely check this place out.”
