“Love this gym. Having trained bjj at a few different gyms, I can honestly say that this gym has been the best. Jason is very knowledgeable not just in bjj, but in other disciplines as well. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The pace of the instruction part of the classes are balanced and easy to follow (even with complex sequences). The rolls are competitive, yet slow enough to practice techniques. A true family atmosphere.”

“I’ve been coming to Invictus Fenway since my next door CrossFit location closed almost two years ago. It has been a great experience with an amazing group of coaches, incredible schedule and solid programming. I’ve had the opportunity to drop in almost every CrossFit location I traveled to, either nationally or internationally. “Excellent gym, a must-visit in the area if you're a weightlifter, powerlifter, or functional fitness bro.My first day training there was at 6am on a Tuesday morning, almost immediately I had 2 people introduce themselves. It's great to see a great gym with such a welcoming community.During my second session I also had the pleasure of the owner introducing himself as he seems to pride himself on knowing who everyone is.More gyms need to follow the example set by this one.”

“I have been a client at Activate since it’s start and feel that Julie and Daniel are the best in the business. They have extensive knowledge of fitness and how to train and the experience to know when to push me to do better without injury or real discomfort. Activate is a very unique little gym that is personal, private and quiet. I am an older client who feels very safe in their workout environment and with them. Working on both my fitness and nutrition with Julie and Daniel is a seamless overlap and gives me the motivation and accountability I need. “The best gym I have ever been to! It has a climbing area, basketball court (they also play volleyball there), racquetball courts, multiple table tennis boards, fitness classes, fitness assessment room, powerlifting area, CrossFit area, stretching area, weight machines and cardio room, private family rooms with cardio machines, indoor track, and so on. There are tennis courts, soccer, and baseball fields near the gym with outdoor running track. They offer free classes and multiple gaming/sporting/health events. They also have weekly club events. Lots of free weights and squat racks are usually available. The gym is clean and spacious. This is my favorite gym!”

“This my favorite place to workout. I have been doing the regular big gym memberships on and off for years. But here, I feel the personal attention and coaching has been bar-none. I'm love being there and I always push myself a little more than I would by myself. Jesse is a very knowledgeable trainer and more importantly, a good friend. “Amazing little studio packed with rowing machines and gym equipment in Brookline Village. I took the workout of the day on a weekday morning with Bryan and two others. It was a 45 minute workout of HIIT rowing machine exercises and some weights for leg workouts. Bryan was a great instructor and explained the proper form of rowing and explained how the rowing machine worked. It took a few rows to get used to having the proper form and then went on to more powerful rows. By the last set I was definitely tired and sweaty, but gave it my all for the last sprint. Bryan has a playlist with older music and is very encouraging. Not only does he work out with us but also came around to check our form and speed. Overall, a great place to check out if you're looking for a full body work in Brookline!”

“I’ve been absolutely blown away from the Brighton location orange theory! The gym has always been intimidating for me and I tried a ton of other workout classes that felt competitive or unreachable. This Orange Theory has always made me feel welcomed and wanted, and I always feel great after working out here! The daily challenges are fun and you get to do something new everyday. “I tried it one day. It seems like a nice little gym. Two issues: the lighting was harsh. They have all exposed fluorescent lights on the main floor that were blinding my peripheral vision- can you add diffusers? Second, the floor on the lower level is uneven around the squatting rack. I tried dead lifts and felt unbalanced. Treadmills are a bit dated and limited to 12mph, which is a bit slow for my interval workouts (is this a liability thing? Can you go to 15mph?). Still, a promising gym with a friendly community.”

“Every trainer here is so nice and helpful! They make you feel comfortable and like you belong even if you’ve never done kickboxing before (i’m horrible but they are always there to teach and support you). The area is not too big so they are able to look after how everyone is doing while also working individually with people for a moment to help or demonstrate the moves. I somewhat hurt my knee because i’m clumsy and when i went into the gym to workout they modified any exercise that hurt my knee and spent time checking in about my pain levels all week. Overall it’s a really fun and motivating place to get a good workout!”
