I believe that Comcast monitors viewing preferences of it's customers and then, without warning, eliminates a high volume channel and only makes it available to that customer through a more expensive package.

I went into the Xfinity store this weekend and I had a young man named Dennis, helping me out. My experience was excellent. He was very patient. He listen to what I was looking for, .He answered all my questions. I couldn’t be any happier !!Excellent customer service !! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
