She also told us to check out the Chatham Fish Pier to see seals! We went and saw them and it was such a nice bonus to our trip on the Cape! Highly recommended!”

“My partner and I visited Falmouth for a last minute mini vacation and stumbled upon the black dog after wandering down Main Street. What a cute store. We had heard from locals that this was a staple of the area and we weren't disappointed. It was so delightful to find an east coast clothing store so dog friendly. The young man working was amazingly helpful and friendly. He made us feel welcomed the moment we walked in and answered any questions we had as we didn't know much about the brand or it's history. He mentioned that the clothes can run a little larger than we might be used to and thank goodness because I would have been swimming in my sweatshirt if not for his help. Having never heard of the brand before we will definitely be shopping on their website and telling our friends on the west coast to do the same.”

I couldn't find my receipt but Charlie, one of the owners, was so helpful while I exchanged my items for the correctly sized items all during a flurry of customer activity. This is a first rate business selling the coolest items to complete your trip to the Cape!”

“I was staying in Falmouth with my family for the weekend prior to an important potential client interview in Osterville on the following Monday, and around 2pm on Sunday I realized I had forgotten the hanging bag that held my freshly pressed interview outfit at home. I woefully left my family on the beach and headed downtown to look for something stylish and professional. I wove in and out of stores along Main Street full of polyester coverups and sensible fleece vests, getting more and more desperate and stressed as the clock ticked closer to 5pm. When I walked into Maxwell & Co. I breathed a sigh of relief and asked for help. A senior saleswoman generously took me under her wing and handpicked pieces for me from their extensive reduced-price selection that better suited my budget. I ended up with a pair of classic structured white linen blend pants that I'll probably wear for the next 5 summers, and because they were too long, she even had them rush tailored in-house within the hour! There is nothing like excellent customer service. Next time, I'll return (under better circumstances) for the gorgeous tie-dye cashmere and a pair of Golden Goose Superstars. And by the way, I got the job.”
