Pet Care
VCA Metro Cat Hospital
1630 Beacon St, BrooklineWas recommended the VCA through some friends when adopting two rescue kittens. We had the most wonderful vet experience here! Excellent staff all around from front desk, to the veterinary assistants, veterinarians and veterinary technicians. Everyone was so incredibly kind and knowledgeable, patient and caring. Such a welcoming atmosphere and I felt my kittens were given such a thorough and comfortable examination. Everyone here cares about the work they do and it shows! Highly recommend the VCA Metro Cat Hospital in Brookline!

The Cooperative Dog
1786 Beacon St, BrooklineWe brought home our Siberian husky as a puppy and Vera has helped us navigate raising her through puppy socialization classes, outdoor group walking classes, and canine good citizenship classes. Vera went above and beyond to ensure we had the skill set to ensure the safety of our dog when we were participating in our mountaineering hobbies.

For the Love of Jobe - Pet Services, LLC
30 Kilsyth Rd, BrooklineI didn't know cat sitting could be this good. My cats usually hate when I travel. With my old cat-sitting agency, they were always fine but VERY grateful for me to be home. With Michelle, they're obviously glad to see me when I come back, but they've clearly had an awesome weekend! I imagine my cats saying to me: "Oh hey, did you leave? Nice to see you, I guess." They're definitely contented and happy while I'm away, which utterly warms my heart. Michelle loves my cats and isn't too shy to say it! I adore the pictures she sends me and she clearly spends a while playing with them during every visit. She's even sent me pictures where she was clearly on the floor in order to stick a hand in their favorite tunnel, so it's active, engaged play time! She honestly goes above & beyond in taking care of them. Even the house is cleaner (she tidies up the kitchen...she's put away dishes I left in the rack & cleaned the counters)! I would never expect this but I really appreciate it -- such a nice treat to return to after a trip. Speaking of treats, about ~50% of the time I come home to new toy(s) that she's given the cats, which they relish. My cats & I all love Michelle. I can't recommend her enough!

woof local
672 Chestnut Hill Ave, BrooklineI’ve reviewed WoofLocal before but wanted to re-review since some time has passed. John and his team are the best. Caring and compassionate, and they really know and love my weird little doggie girl. John has been a hugely important part of my dog’s life since 2020, and has been a godsend for me with work travel and the return to office transition. My dog LOVES when John comes to pick her up for playgroup, and I know she is in the best hands when she stays with him for boarding. John is responsive and flexible, and I feel so fortunate so have found him and his company.

Tatte Bakery & Cafe | Beacon St
1003 Beacon St, BrooklineA place like Tatte Bakery & Cafe doesn't need to pull out any stops or offer any zest, it naturally has that special vibe that is warm, cozy, and inviting. After some fussing with parking my rental car, I was in a hurry to jump into a meeting but then, I instantly felt so good the moment I stepped into the shop. It was like OK, you're here. Calm down. You're all good. You got this, girl! I found a nice perch amongst the bar tops on the side with an outlet for my laptop. Perfect. I was able to order breakfast (Egg plate with goat cheese and tomatoes - so good!) and the same Kale Apple Juice I had last time. Also, perfect. From there, it was smooth cruising through the work day. The breakfast plate was so filling, I actually couldn't even finish it. As my third trip to Boston this year, who knows, maybe there will be a fourth trip in the making before the end of year! Anyway, I recommend adding this to your list of places to visit. Enjoy! :-)
