Western Union, located in a unique and beautifully restored building in downtown Boston, offers a range of services including cash money transfers, payments, and cash pickups, with a maximum payout limit of $300 at this location. Customers appreciate the convenient services, although some find the self-service machines challenging to operate. The staff, particularly a manager known as Z, receives praise for their helpfulness and efficiency, enhancing the overall customer experience. The location itself is notable for its impressive architecture, having been transformed from a former bank into a flagship Walgreens store. Shoppers enjoy the blend of modern convenience with vintage charm, as the store maintains elements of its historical past. Visitors can find a good selection of food items, snacks, and household products. The layout, however, has received mixed feedback, with some customers expressing frustration over accessibility and product organization. Despite some layout challenges, the store remains a popular destination due to its unique ambiance, comprehensive offerings, and the rich history embedded in its architecture. It is considered one of the coolest Walgreens locations, providing both a shopping experience and a glimpse into Boston's past. Overall, Western Union stands out for its combination of essential services, historical significance, and dedicated customer service.
Rude and condescending staff . They can't even be bothered to be somewhat kind or even respectful .
October 2023
I was in Boston for a few days in early October and needed a few things for my stay. A convenient location with a good selection of chilled items and snacks. This location has two floors and it might be one of the nicer Walgreens I've visited. Anyway, quick and easy checkout and I was on my merry way.
