The people are very rude. I've been yelled at multiple times for parking in spots that everybody parks in because there's no other parking available

Recycle your cardboard, rigid plastic, and metal. Drop off styrofoam, florescent bulbs, and hazardous batteries too. Newton swap open Thu, Fri, Sat. morning.

This site is open to Newton residents only to recycle 25+ material types from their homes including:
-cardboard
-single stream recycling
-mattresses/box springs ($35 fee per item)
-old electronics ($25 fee for TVs/monitors)
-mercury-containing devices
-rechargeable batteries (alkaline batteries go in household trash)
-fluorescent light tubes and CFL bulbs
-books, DVDs, CDs, video games for reuse
-Styrofoam (no cups or egg cartons)
-food waste
-scrap metal
-large rigid plastic items (broken laundry basket, etc.)
-appliances containing refrigerants
-propane tanks
-fire extinguishers
-helium tanks
-medical sharps
-clothing/textiles
