They don’t price gouge and they are very friendly and willing to explain things to me even when I’m embarrassed to admit I don’t know jack about cars? Not to mention they are SUPER convenient to my home/work so I can just drop my car at 9 and pick it up in the afternoon/whenever it’s ready. “I first came to this shop because they were one of the few places locally that can order and install continental tires, which i really prefer on my car. They ended up doing brake work for me and did a great job at a reasonable price. I have a background in cars and i historically do my own work, but with my job becoming more demanding i have passed most of it to this shop. They have never asked me to fix something that hasn't needed it, they do quality work, and the prices here are fair. I think Mark, the owner cares a lot and will provide his honest opinion when requested.”

“A great experience! I needed something done to pass MD state inspection and Sarah was super helpful on the phone right away. Weirdly, because of the time I had considering work schedules, I was able to drop off my car and pick up my car--all done over the phone. They did an awesome job on my car and did NOT overcharge, which is truly beneficial for what I needed. Many times I get taken advantage of being a woman at auto repair shops. Not this one. Everything was done digitally and easily. Highly recommend! Since I'm new to town, I'll definitely become a loyal customer now.”

The Parking Spot Bus Driver cleared about 6” of snow off my car with his brush and filled my tire with enough air to get to a repair place. I called to see if an auto place could help me and went toSNT Automotive401 S Camp Meade RoadEven though there was a sign on the door saying “we are full”, their parking lot was crammed full, and both bays were full, Duffy took the screw out of my tire, patched my tire, and told me there was no charge but sometimes people just tipped so I did. What could’ve been an hours long problem was just a matter of minutes. Highly recommend both Parking Spot and SNT!”

There was an employee I didn't know who diagnosed a problem and was overly anxious to work on my vehicle before checking whether that was the actual problem. When I expressed my concern, the employee had to be told twice to let Fadil work on my vehicle. The next time I took my vehicle in, didn't see that employee so gave me a sense of relief that he would not be working on my vehicle. I only trust Fadil, and one other mechanic as well as the current owner to work on my vehicle as I've never experienced issues once the work was completed. Trust means everything. Can truly say this is an honest reputable shop with experienced mechanics I've had the pleasure of recommending to family and even strangers.”

“I found Hillen Tire and Auto Service by happenstance just when I needed them.I had a bad experience with another local mechanic and was feeling less than optimistic about finding someone reputable and reliable to help me navigate the repairs on my car that the other place recommended as “critical”.After doing my due diligence of calling multiple places for quotes and reading reviews, I found Hillen simply by driving by it.I called for a quote on a Friday. The staff at Hillen was knowledgeable and friendly and I decided to make an appointment with them for the following Monday based on our phone conversation. I’m so happy I did.After replacing 4 tires for $300 less than the other place wanted to charge, Brian, the owner, personally walked me through the list of items the other mechanic had given me and told me what repairs were actually necessary for my 2018 Subaru Crosstrek.(And whoever wrote in the reviews that the owner was attractive wasn’t lying!)But Brian’s good looks, while noteworthy, are not the focal point here. What I most wish to convey in this review is the transparency and the integrity that I witnessed with Brian and the staff at Hillen. They were kind, knowledgeable, professional and courteous.I actually felt seen and heard when I expressed my concerns. Brian took the time to explain everything to me and I left reassured that my car was in fact safe to drive and that I didn’t need a lot of the “suggested” repairs the other place listed as critical.So if you have been struggling to find an honest (attractive) team of humans who are going to tell you straight up what you need and who aren’t trying to just make a dollar off of you, and who do a great job, Hillen is your place.I left the 1st mechanic in tears. “The folks at Jiffy Lube are fast, friendly and give great service at a decent price. I'm going to use today's visit as an example. Before they started working on my car one of the technicians approached me and said that my oil change wasn't due for 800 more miles and asked if they should proceed. As it turns out I have an emission inspection due so I said yes, please go ahead. But asking if I really wanted their service? Who does that? When they come to me and tell me they've found a correctable problem I know that they're being honest. They've earned my trust, time and again. Today was just another example. Thanks Jiffy Lube.”

In addition to my requested service, they reviewed services options recommended and needed for my vehicle which required my approval. The staff was wonderful and very professional and I was VERY pleasantly surprised to see women performing mechanical duties as well. My wait time was less than 30-minutes. I am and will continue to be a return customer.”
