Our dog fights really hard when it's time for shots or a nail trim, but the staff here is patient and helpful when he is being a wild man. Special shout out to Mimi who was so kind and thoughtful when helping give our dog his shots and care. She definitely helped keep him as calm as possible to minimize stress.”

He is an extra sensitive dog who requires sedated visits and some creative solutions to getting him the care he needs, while also limiting his stress as much as possible. “I highly recommend Rocky Gorge for emergency treatment and any surgical procedure your animal needs. Rocky Gorge Animal Hospital is an economical piece of heaven filled with talented, compassionate, knowledgeable, thorough, beyond friendly and truly remarkable angels. My dog was seriously injured in an accident and needed a difficult orthopedic surgery. Dr. Morris, who also performed my family dog's ACL surgery, performed my dogs fractured humerus surgery exceeding well, especially given its level of difficulty, while being extremely conscientious of the cost to the customer. They have been a Godsend in performing my dogs difficult surgery while giving her the best care I could ask for, using a laser to close up her wounds after surgery, and doing this all with the foundation in mind to make it as affordable to the client as possible for example not charging me for suture removal. They provided an estimate that included a low end and high end of the procedure, and I always felt that they followed a code of ethics that I never felt like my dogs care and treatment was being exploited and capitalized on but the very opposite. I'm so grateful for Rocky Gorge because they took beyond exceptional care for my dog during surgeries and procedures and made it so without leaving me in years of debt. Thank you to the incredible orthopedic surgeon Dr. Morris, and all the staff, technicians and pharmacists that help set my mind at ease during the extremely difficult time for me going through a serious accident with my dog. I am beyond blessed for the angels and the immaculate, detailed surgeries, procedures and post-op care they provided for not only my dog, but myself as well!”

“Bottom line we got service. My dog got attention. I was worried because she had eaten a lot of dark chocolate. She seems fine today, but when I got there, I have to say there didn’t seem to be a sense of emergency. It was kind of first come first serve when technically this Is a life-threatening situation because chocolate is toxic to dogs, especially dark chocolate. She needed immediate attention so that made me concerned. When we were treated I did feel confident in blue pearl services. I didn’t get to meet Dr. Pearl, but I’ve heard wonderful things about him. I do feel confidence knowing my dogs are in good hands. The Dr, who worked on my dog was very detailed oriented and explained everything well.I was a tad bit shocked at the pricing, but I guess there isn’t anything I wouldn’t pay and they know that for my baby. My dog ate chocolate $110 to call the Dog ACPCA for poison control. They made us call and wouldn’t see us till we did. Then for the visit $700 which included $250 for the appointment and the rest was for inducing, vomit and hydration IV meds. $1000 chocolate bar!!!! That was my fault. Thank u blue pearl.”

“They're amazing, they are a smaller clinic but if it hadn't been for them taking my cats X-rays her lungs could've filled with more fluids before we ended up getting them drained at apex ? she ended up having cancer but these doctors will forever be the ones who saved my cat with their advice and care. (I have 12 pets as well so their benefits for customer loyalty is such a big help)”

“I love this place! They are kind, patient and very competent. Easy to reach, always seem to have vets available when something comes up. We have two dogs and a cat, with various issues throughout the years. We left them for awhile for a place closer to our house, but when that place refused to help us with our dying cat, Ballston took us back immediately and handled his end with care and kindness. The staff who answers the phone is always friendly. Highly recommend!”

“The staff at Takoma Park Animal Clinic did an excellent job handling my cat’s recent illness. They allowed me to drop him off for the day and pick him up after work. They called and kept me informed as to his test results and how he was responding to treatment. When I came to pick him up, I was pleased that Dr Carey took the time, after hours, to thoroughly discuss his case and answer my questions. When handling him, the staff showed care and affection. I knew my cat would get excellent care here and they did not disappoint. Highly recommend!”
