“Great experience!!! I have an extremely anxious senior chihuahua, Pop, and I took him to Caring Hands Clarendon to establish care. He was so anxious about being at the vet that he was shivering in the lobby, but he instantly warmed up once he met Dr. Goff and the lovely veterinarian technicians (I cannot remember their names - sorry). My pup is not exactly a people person, but he was really relaxed and actually enjoyed being with the staff there. The entire experience was great, from scheduling to getting bloodwork results.The medical team made the visit go extremely well, and they performed a thorough exam of Pop, including tonometry (required touching his eye, and I was surprised they were able to do it). They also explained the cost (financial) and benefit of every procedure/vaccine before they did it. I have seen some reviews mention affordability, and I think the prices are very reasonable… also, without my asking, they applied a 10% discount so I ended up being surprised by a cheaper price at checkout.I will be going back for dental surgery, and I received an estimate that includes a range of what the cost could be because it will depend on the number of extractions needed. I appreciated the transparency in what the maximum cost could be. And the price for dental surgery also seems reasonable to me. Also, the estimated price included an offer for a 10% discount if scheduled in the next month.I didn’t get the sense that the staff there was concerned with anything other than Pop’s health and getting him the best quality of care they could (while being mindful of the cost). Pop and I will be coming to this practice as long as Dr. Goff is there… not to say that the other vets aren’t also good,r but I haven’t met them yet. But the entire team (including receptionist!) that I did meet was wonderful.”

“Animal Place has been amazing. Nobody likes spending a grand on multiple vet services. It’s necessary sometimes. Our Pittie who was suffering from pancreatitis came was seen by the friendly staff. Again, you’re stressed as hell but the doc and staff made this a solid experience. Not every experience has a happy ending. This crew will be taking over primary vet care from here on out for all our animals.”

“Was looking for a new Vet and couldn’t be happier than the service I got at Marymont. After the pandemic it was hard to get a new Vet as many clinics weren’t accepting new clients. That was not the case with Marymont. Brought my Pomeranian in for yearly shots and boosters and was pleasantly surprised by the prices. Highly recommend!!”
“We have been going to College Park Animal Hospital for over 20 years. They have reliably treated our 3 dogs and now our cat. They are responsive and excellent diagnosticians. Our dogs made it to 15 years old each and I would expect our cat to live longer. Great staff.”
“AMAZING EXPERIENCE! I took my cat Bella to visit them for a sanitary trim and her nails clipped. We were in and out of there in less than 10 minutes! She was a little scared but they handled her with so much care and I liked that I was able to be in the room. They were great and reasonably priced, way better experience than I expected! When we got home, I could tell she was so happy and felt so much better from the condition she was in before her appointment. “When Dr Teich decided to start his own practice - me and my little ones followed! My experience over the years has been terrific. I never feel rushed - the vets take time to really understand what is happening with your pets. Not just what brings you in but how & what they are doing generally. The front desk staff are also just as great - helpful and accommodating.The locations make getting an appt. pretty easy. Whether I need to see Dr. Teich specifically or another vet - I will typically get the day and time I need. This is a super busy practice, for a good reason, so I appreciate this.”
“I was very disappointed about their new policy not to send prescriptions to third party providers like pet meds. They now require that you physically pick up an rx at their office. This means that you must mail it to petmeds-they are not allowed to receive it by fax or email, except from the vet. This is a way to make you buy it from vca, always at a much higher price. A vet must still write the rx,but vca says it took too much time for them to send it to petmeds. Seems like a small matter that greatly burdens paying clients. Jack Cohen”

“Hyattsville animal hospital is incredible!The building may look a little old (don't let the looks fool you) but the care we've gotten from them for years has been since and beyond.Their prices are so much more affordable and everybody there genuinely cares so much for your pet.We started going there when we looked for a second opinion on our dog needing acl surgery and it turned out he was fine and we loved them so much better and have never left.Great places like this need our support, give them a shot you won't regret it!”

“Family Pet Vet is the absolute best. Dr. Wehrli is so compassionate and authentic. And, not only is Dr. Wehrli the best, but his staff is my absolute favorite. In particular Beatriz and Cai! They have so much love for all the animals. They are so kind and helpful. We had a really serious surgery with our older dog and they were so helpful in walking me through everything and getting him out and into the car to help me. When our dog ended up passing they were so compassionate. We now have a new puppy and they are just as loving. I feel like they are a truly family vet practice.”

“For over a year they dealt with me and my chronically sick cat. They dealt with the calls asking if they had any cancellations so I could take her in. Danielle specifically helped me through it all, she didn’t just care for my cat, she cared for me as well. “We came to Oakcrest for my two cats’ dental cleaning. The staff members were so warm and friendly, and went out of their way to help answer questions over the phone, locate former medical records and handle the cats with the utmost care. Dr. Tibbs was very caring and kind while examining the cats and was thorough and attentive about providing advice about their care. The dental cleaning itself was significantly affordable compared to other vets in the DMV area, and the results were “purrfect” (My cats even came back with groomed paw pads which was adorable). Overall, I felt that my cats were cared for with kindness and professionalism, and I am so glad to have found the Oakcrest staff. I look forward to their future care.”

They take the time to explain to you what's going on with your pet and are patient when answering questions. Vet prices are crazy around the district but I have found Brentwood is reasonable and fair. They even discuss prices and treatment options before sticking you with the bill. I am a regular and I recommend this pet hospital to other pet owners all the time.”
