7600 Maple Ave, Takoma Park“Amazing help from Terrance! He went above and beyond by coming in on his day off to fix my shower. Not only was he quick and professional, but he also took the time to thoroughly explain the issue to prevent reoccurrences in the future, and he ensured everything was working before he left. Terrance's expertise and positive energy is what makes Avalon a great place to live!”
“Gabrielle Leach was very helpful during the move-out process, she went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. She was extremely attentive to our needs and made the process easy for us. We have loved our time at The Barrett, all staff have been consistently friendly and helpful and have made our time living in this community amazing!”
“The Alaire is by far the best lil apartment community I’ve lived at! The apartments are spacious and unique. The amenities are pop’n (they have canopies at the pool y’all!!) And easy, accessible mailroom w/ secure Amazon lockers, garage parking, fully equipped gym and the staff feels like family.Over the last two years, I’ve had the pleasure of getting to knew the staff and employees.Claudia and Sean are super attentive, friendly and always willing to go the extra mile for their tenants. It’s truly been a pleasure living here! Not to mention, it’s conveniently located directly across the street from the Twinbrook Metro Station (red line) making it easy to get in and out of the city. If you’re looking for your next apartment home… This Is The Place!”
“I had nothing but positive experiences at Landmark. It is one of the best living options in college park and has better amenities than most of the other buildings. Great place to live”

455 I St NW, Washington“I have to say Kim at the front desk was like superwoman, My daughter fell ill and needed an ambulance, and my wife and I are in New York, and this all took place at 2 am. Kim open the apartment and was able to open the door to her bedroom, made sure she was dressed ok to go to the hospital. Like I said Kim is fantastic and she put us at ease that she was taking care of everthing. You are lucky to have such a compassionate and caring person as Kim.”
“I've been a resident here for nearly 3 years, and I've had a very pleasant experience. The location is great, it's safe, and the service from the entire staff is great! A special shoutout to Hawo and Kendra, who are always so kind and go above and beyond to assist!”
“It has been great living here. LJ and Cal have made my life much easier throughout my time here. They are both super helpful and friendly, both willing to answer any questions or deal with any issues I’ve had!”
“I’ve lived in the community going on three years now. The amenities/events are fantastic and the staff (from maintenance, to concierges, to the leasing office) are timely and on top of things. I really appreciate the help the Ahmad provided when I moved apartments. He was patient and thorough, making the process smooth and straight forward. He answered every question I had (there were a lot) and for that I am so grateful! A great community to be part of.”
“I have to make this a five-star review, or it won’t show up to the front.
I decided not to renew my lease on the very first day of moving in - the sound proof in the ceiling is terrible. Just terrible. I hear my upstairs neighbors stomping into the bathroom every night. (He might just be walking.) The ceiling vibrates, and I’m jolted awake every time he uses the bathroom at night. I talked to other neighbors on different floors, and they said the same thing. Of course, the issue happens whenever your upstairs neighbors are home. I’m wearing noise-canceling headphones when they’re home, even to bed. No one should be paying this much rent for an apartment in which they can’t enjoy peace at home.
Also, the leasing office wasn’t up front about the RUBS when we signed the contract (we should’ve specifically asked). The trash fee and sewage fee fluctuate every month. We have a two-bedroom apartment and were paying about $100 just for sewage last month, ending up having to pay close to $400 (for two people) for utilities.
What a shame because the concierge and maintenance professionals do their job very, very well. Big shout out to Negeset and Maribel!”
“I moved to Washington about 8 months ago for work — this was my first time living outside of Texas — and I was in a rush to find a place to live. I wasn’t able to tour the building before I moved in but the virtual tour of the floor plan impressed me enough to where I decided I’d live here. While I was extremely impressed by the virtual tour, it does not do the building or the units justice. This place is awesome. It’s got an amazing location in the trendy Navy Yard neighborhood, so plenty of entertainment within walking distance — also about a 15 minute walk to the Capitol and a 2 minute walk to the Navy Yard metro station, giving you easy access to the rest of the District and its surrounding areas. Common areas within the building are clean and tidy, and the unit is exceptional — I have so much space! Special shout out to the amazing staff here, especially the wonderful concierge team. I’ve rented many apartments in my life and I’ve never felt more at home than I do here. I plan to continue living at 909 New Jersey as long as I can.”
“We had a best experience in touring today, the complex is soo clean and organised so well!!And a Special thanks to Gary Jones who took us in touring he was so helpful and very kind ??”
“Was looking at living here. The facilities and amenities seem top-notched. Beautiful finishes and the roof top is spacious with tons of seating. It’s also located in a neighborhood with a plethora of dining and entertainment options.”
“I lived at "The KW" for 7 years, ending in January 2024. During this time, I lived in both the South (built in 2000's) and Historic (built in 1932 and 1935). Leasing agents will be happy to provide a tour of either, so I'll leave descriptions of apartments out. Suffice to say, there are a variety of floor plans and none (including the studios) are shabby. Some amenities of the building (indoor heated pool, sauna, gym) are truly top-notch. The rooftop grills could be much better; but the area warmers are a great touch for those those hanging on to the outdoor space until the cold becomes unfightable. What I want to focus on is the experience. The KW courtyard is among the prettiest in DC and provides its own welcome which didn't diminish during my stay. Once inside, the main lobby provides a fantastic display of Art Deco and contains an elevated mezzanine that often provided a comfortable (and very well decorated) meeting place for myself and neighbors. This brings me to an aspect of the KW which may appeal to many, and certainly did to me. There exists a true sense of community which will match your level of engagement. That engagement spans across KW hosted activities, as well as events conducted by the Residents Association. The initiator and facilitator of these relationship is often the in-building private club/bar. For the first time, I knew dozens of my neighbors instead of just a handful. Many friendships therein will persist. The staff is mostly friendly and courteous. A few stand out as exceptional, and I'm not likely to find their equivalent again: Giovanna (Desk), Lea (Desk), Michael (Desk), Anthony (Engineering), James (Club), and Vanessa (Management). There are some things to pay attention to. This is an old building on the Historic Side; and, while the bones are great, one issue plagued my stay. Our front bathroom would begin to develop an odor several times a week. It was not mild, and smelled like a sewer. Engineering was never able to remediate this despite multiple attempts. None of my neighbors had a similar issue, so I suppose I was just lucky. In the South Wing, there is an engineering issue where water will leak past the valves in the washing machines should there be a pressure drop in the system. This could occur with the briefest power failure. If caught, Engineering will race to everyone's apartment to see if the issue is presenting and pursue resolution. If uncaught, the washing machines will fill and begin to spill over. I once had flooding in my apartment from above due to this issue. If I didn't hear the water and turn off my valves manually, the flooding would have been that much worse. Some of my neighbors had this occur multiple times. In all, I highly recommend the KW for young (Historic Wing) and old. If you're a lifelong renter, rent stabilization with a young start will provide you a home in a fabulous building at a cost that's unheard of. If you want a home to age in place, you'll find a vibrant group of neighbors who are continuously organizing get-togethers and are genuine friends.I was in the middle, and figured my best move was to buy something. I did this, however, with my wife; and I met my wife at the KW Club when I was 46. Need I say more?”
“LJ did a phenomenal job of explaining the apartment complex. Her energy and enthusiasm was helpful in our decision to rent at this complex. After a full day of apartment hunting, she was a refreshing and and helpful agent.”
“The service team is truly amazing, they are all so lovely and so willing to help! Special shout out to david on the service tech team, he seriously knows his stuff and is the sweetest guy ever!”
“I usually do not write reviews, but Tyrelle at the leasing agency was one of the kindest and most professional interactions I have had with any agent throughout my house search throughout the DMV. I am grateful for coming across people like that.”
“The staff at The Clarendon is a true family-oriented team. There’s nothing like coming home after a long day at work and being received with a warm welcome every day when I walk through the lobby. I think it’s worth mentioning that while I don’t own any pets, its amusing and fun to watch other resident’s dogs go crazy for the concierges as if they’re reuniting with a long lost friend. It always brightens up my day!
Kudos to the whole team for always going the extra mile for my family, my guests and myself, but especially Shaukat and Grover whom I interact with nearly every single day.
Giving 5 stars for the quality life I’m able to have at The Clarendon.”
“The leasing staff is second to none. Not only was my agent professional, responsive and nice- she went out of her way to make my move a success. I feel very welcomed and know I made the right choice.”
“Absolutely the best managed corporate apartments I've ever lived in from Seattle, San Diego, and now DC Metro/North Virginia. The owning company is Equity and you will be paying them handsomely in rent, they do a fair job and the location is premier. However, the real 5 star review is for the local team at 2201 Wilson - Shaun, Thuraya, Krysten, Trent, Jose, and more. All my maintenance requests were done in 24hrs, with a note saying who completed it and what they did, then a follow up by the management team via a phone call. I had issues with my bank doing autopay through their corporate portal for rent and they worked with me so I never paid a penalty. The local team is 10/10. Strongly recommend, would rent again.”
“I have been staying here for the last 7 months and have become very friendly with the staff. Myra is very sweet and always has a smile on her face. I love that they are painting walls and cleaning carpets so the place stays looking nice. They also keep the place smell great. You would never know that there are many pets in the building from how great it smells and look.”
“The front desk staff is great and the building is fine.
The primary reason for rating 4 stars is Equity tried to raise my rent almost $400 after my lease ended. I was able to convince them to lower it a bit but the increase was still outrageous and I see available units listed on their site with the same floor plan as mine listed for less. They are price gouging me because they know I already live here and don’t want to move out which is a shameful money-grabbing tactic. There have been no changes since I moved in that warrant a rent increase anywhere near this large.
Edited review from 3 to 4 stars as a previous maintenance issue turned out to be a misunderstanding that was rectified quickly upon submitting a second request. The maintenance team has always been great, but I had initially thought the ownership was dropping the ball on replacing my hot water tank. It turned out it just wasn’t turned on correctly.”
“We have been living here for over two years and we love it a lot!
The management staff is excellent! Shea and Craig are truly awesome; I mean it! I enjoy having quick chats with them, and they are a big reason we renewed our lease here. The maintenance team is also fantastic and extremely professional. The environment itself is peaceful, clean, and well-maintained.
Room for Improvement/Cons:
The trash fee is too high, and the way we are charged seems arbitrary.
Rent is too high: I'm unsure of the algorithm or math used to determine the annual rent increase. It seems like rent will continue to increase until Jesus comes back.
The trash area is a health hazard. More can be done to improve that area.
Package theft: While it’s not the management’s fault, it is a problem with certain ghetto individuals who were not raised well and are probably used to government handovers. Management does its best to resolve these matters.
Bathroom fans: Consider installing bathroom fans for ventilation since there are no bathroom windows.
Homeless people in the building: This was an issue, but management took it seriously and made efforts to improve the situation. I haven't encountered homeless individuals in the building recently.
Pros: Everything else you can think of!
Things to Remember:
Every place you move to has its good and bad side. It doesn’t matter how much you pay; it's a part of life and existence. Learn to deal with it and be grateful.
Remember the golden rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" (Matthew 7:12). You don’t need to be a Christian to understand the importance of this rule. If you mistreat management staff and are disrespectful, you shouldn't expect them to be nice to you. Don’t come here complaining! Management staff are people with feelings. Paying high rent doesn’t give you the right to disrespect others.
Always provide constructive criticism that can help management make meaningful improvements for everyone’s benefit at Mosaic. If Craig takes an hour to get back to you, there is no reason to post negative comments. It’s unproductive and childish. Approach Craig and get your issue resolved. This is just an example!
I have read some reviews about negative experiences with Craig, but I give him grace. He is an outstanding person and an excellent listener. I appreciate his humor and smile. While I respect your individual experiences, I must say that Craig is excellent. He goes above and beyond to help and is both professional and relatable. Sometimes renters here have unreasonable expectations, and it’s important to reflect on what might not have gone well and provide constructive feedback to management, respectfully. Let’s learn to give everyone some grace.
Remember that, as much as you hold the management staff accountable for your experience here, you should also hold yourself accountable for your experience. If you don’t clean your apartment and have a factory of roaches, you should not be posting nasty comments. Obviously you have caused that problem yourself. This is an example again! LOL
If you decide to move to Mosaic, you have made the right decision! As long as you can afford the rent payments, you’re good to go. I wish you all the best and many thanks to the management staff for all your support and time! You are all amazing! Keep it going!”
“Have nothing but great things to say about the apartment complex, facilities, and leasing team at The Chase. We had our tour last year with Jonathan. He’s truly one of the best. He was very patient, knowledgable, enthusiastic, professional, and just an overall asset to the leasing team. He made our tour enjoyable and ultimately led to us signing and being here almost 2 years now. The building is convenient due to the metro being literally at your front door step giving you access to the city and all it has to offer. The market downstairs is phenomenal with many food and drink options. The Alamo theater is down the block which is also a plus if you are a movie goer. There’s a nice walking trail that leads to a few breweries in the case you wanted to go for a jog/walk and catch a craft beer on your way back. Overall The Chase is a great place with all the convenience one could ask for.”

1210 Massachusetts Ave NW, Washington“I don't usually write reviews but I can't stress enough how awesome this leasing team is! After calling what seemed like a million buildings, 1210 Mass was the only building that offered the lease terms I was looking for in the exact location I was looking for. Darius and Faren went above and beyond to help me get approved and moved in and I can't thank them enough for all their help. Rest assured you will be working with people who truly care for you!”

900 7th St SW, Washington“Dear CeCe and the Banks family,
Thank you so much for all the fun activities you do for us and for bringing the building together and helping create new friendships. So many creative projects you do for us are greatly appreciated. Everyone who is part of this awesome building, from the lovely ladies who keep the building looking great, is there. The maintenance team, the Front desk crew, and of course the office ninjas with their big smiles. I don't get to say it to you directly as much as I would like to, so I wanted to make sure to thank everything. The BBQ battle gift baskets were awesome.
You bring smiles every day and your kindness and generosity are boundless. You put so much time into the happiness of your tenants that it goes above and beyond. I should know, that whenever you create and host these mixers for the building you're always the first one here and the last one out. I know that is not easy and when you have a team that is cohesive and works like family it projects that same energy to all those who are blessed to be around it.”
“We lived at Takoma Central for 7 years, through 2 owners and 4 management companies. The current Bozzuto team is BY FAR the best management team the building has ever had. Denisse and Taylor in the office and Ibrahim doing the maintenance work are diligent, caring, and most importantly, they are highly competent. It's not just talk - they get things done. It's a refreshing surprise to encounter competence in building management, they go above and beyond and they do it with a friendly attitude.
Working with Denisse, Taylor, and Ibrahim has been a pleasure.”
“Cathedral Commons is an excellent place to live! Price/location/and people make it the best deal in the city. Staff is very helpful, the amenities are excellent, and the neighborhood has everything. It is also a great neighborhood if you have a dog, there is a dog park two blocks away, and many doggie bag dispensers if you forget to bring a bag.”
“I love Union on Queen! I’ve been living here for a few years and I love the ambiance of the building. The manager puts together amazing events for residents, especially the Saint Patrick’s day event! Very kind, warm, and welcoming staff!”
“We have found our match!! I’ve been a tenant here at Park Ritchie for 24 years and this young man, Theodore Wilkins (Theo) is the best we’ve had in this office. He is pleasant to work with, knowledgeable, flexible and willing to roll up his sleeves and do whatever is necessary to keep the building functional and the tenants happy.”
