“We get our Christmas tree from Pablo every year. Trees are always of excellent quality, and it's refreshing to see how much he cares for his trees. Definitely recommend!”

“Very nice Florist shop! I ordered from out of state an arrangement over the phone not knowing what I would get for value and cost, and the person who took my order was very nice and helpful!! Always afraid it’s going to be a tiny arrangement, but this one was beautiful!! The person it went to was raving about how beautiful it was!!! Thank you!”

“Highly recommended! Gardenology completely transformed our backyard garden that lacked a theme and had been overtaken by weeds and invasive plants. They approached the project with a clear vision but were also open to dialogue and refinement. They were able to move certain plants to better locations to save us some money and worked seamlessly with a hardscape contractor on site at the same time. Excellent horticultural knowledge and attention to detail; responsive customer service; and reasonable prices.”

“This review is to compliment the Potomac Garden Center (PGC) at their North Potomac location, with particular praise for Greg. He is the person there that is the plant and landscaping expert who has been amazing helping not only me and my family (extended members, included!), but also the many folk from my community and congregation I have recommended they check out PGC. Greg (not sure what his last name is, but he is almost always there most days and available if you ask any staff person there for him). He provides excellent advice, including not only for when you want to buy plants, bushes, trees, etc. but also if/whenever you might be worried about something. If you are having an issue, bring a sample of your plant to PGC and Greg will analyze the problem for you (he has a microscope and other techniques there on site that he uses if needed in his analysis). We have extensive landscaping throughout the properties we have and I have tried to work with various centers over the years. In fact, we used to consistently go to another center in Potomac when Greg worked there before PGC smartly hired him away from them! We followed him to PGC and became a loyal PGC customer after that. It is very hard to find anyone at any of the surrounding plant and garden centers who have his level of knowledge on new and existing plants and/or if you are having problems with your existing plants, bushes, trees, etc. You may wonder why I am writing this review now with such praise for Greg in particular. It is because he recently helped my wife (who can be rather "selective" and specific, and who also praises Greg like I do) with a new project. With it being the holiday season and thinking at this time of year about what is positive and who to thank to thank for that, this review is in large part to thank Greg for his professionalism and for his help with stuff both large and small. And while, hands down/no doubt, he is a true asset there at PGC, I also want to compliment the Center overall. The staff overall are friendly, ready to offer assistance on straightforward purchases or if you need to find something you are looking for. If you go there/shop there, I would also recommend checking out the area inside they have set up as a sort of gift shop (separate from the area where they have an extensive inventory of garden supplies). That gift area seems to always have interesting items (not just garden related). Ok, I will stop here with this-- if you are interested in either filling in a corner of your property with something pretty/interesting or want to design a full scale landscaping project, I recommend you talk with Greg. He seems to be the center of the universe there, with years of experience and horticultural knowledge. to note, this review is based not only on our direct experiences with Greg and PGC, but also on all the positive feedback about him and the center I have received from many of the folk we have recommended PGC to. - PAV & family.”

“Johnson’s, and specifically Anne Factor, were the florists for my wedding and they were beyond amazing! The flowers for my chuppah were stunning and the table arrangements and bouquets were absolutely gorgeous. Anne was patient, kind and so easy to work with. She ensured that my vision was brought to life - she exceed my expectations in every way! I can’t say enough about Anne and the Johnson’s florist. I will never use anyone else!”

“Great place!!Enormous selection, supremely knowledgeable owner and a quiet, out-of-the-way location make this one of the nicest nurseries we've been to. Devoted entirely to azaleas (with some rhododendrons thrown in for good measure) it's a real gem of a place. We're lucky to have it in our area.Pay attention to the hours posted; don't just show up when it's convenient to you. It's run by just a few people (mostly one) so be considerate. Also, if you have trouble finding it, turn at the sign for Doc Waters Cidery.”

“Best value locally for our needs. For example; Eastern redbud sapling was $220 delivered vs $660 plus delivery for the same size and species at a competitor. Seasons also provided and accepted a $50 rebate coupon from Montgomery County, MD for this native tree. We are not big landscape customers, but our experience with Seasons has been uniformly positive for years.”

“Arrived just before 5 on a Friday afternoon. I had called before I came and been told they closed at 6pm not 5.The people to help had left a bit early ( it had rained ). The gentleman who was there ( not one of the manual laborers) was exceptionally helpful. He could have just said ‘They are gone’ or ‘Not my job’. Instead he left what he was doing and loaded 10 bags of mulch into my car, and was exceptionally polite and kind.Thank you soo much Sir. You made my day - actually my whole weekend!! Blessings upon you and your family.”

“Maryland Gardens Tree and Shrub Farm is a great place. Located close, in North Potomac, it is large and filled with many different types of trees growing in the ground. The owner, Tom Moseley knows a lot about trees and bushes.Tom knows what kind of soil and how much sunlight is ideal v.s. tolerable for each plant. He is also knowledgeable about common tree diseases and pests (fungus, deer, etc.) and can guide one to a better choice of planting location or type of tree. Spring and fall are great times to plant trees and shrubs. (Late spring/summer heat and winter cold can be bad for a transplant.)We bought a Crepe Myrtle and a Magnolia from him in 2020 and they are both doing well. That is not the case with trees we have bought from others--from them only 1/2 the trees we bought survive 6-months. We returned in October 2022 and bought a flowering Crab Apple tree from the MD Gardens Tree and Shrub Farm. Tom Moseley provides the optional service of planting his trees and we had it done October 7th. This spring (April 2023), it bloomed magnificently. It's worth it to have Tom M plant because he checks the other trees one might have. For example he and his helper noticed we had red/black fuzzy "Wooly Bear" caterpillars at the base of our Crepe Myrtle. He removed them and cut back the undergrowth around the base that encouraged them. On a previous occasion (autumn 2020), he helped us deep fertilize a Plum tree that was sub-par. (The next spring it was thriving.). Mr. Moseley really cares for all trees and shrubs and knows a lot about them. Just call and makes an appointment to drop by; he has very flexible hours.”

“This is the place to go if you need top soil, mulch or gravel. They will load in the back of your truck with a loader. Reasonable prices and a great location. Staff is friendly and it never takes long for me to get in and out. I have a regular pickup truck (1500) and they have no problem putting small loads in my truck. It's where all the landscape companies around here load up their much bigger trucks as well.”

“Incredible customer service experience!! I recently made multiple trips to this location while trying to match a difficult paint, and during this struggle, Tim L. from the paint department went out of his way to match my paint by looking at the samples I brought in and the pictures on my phone. At one point he even said, "I want to help you get this right". Being from Atlanta, I have been going to Home Depot all my life, and this was by far the best costumer service interaction I have ever had at this company. Hiring people like Tim will ensure Home Depot keeps its loyal customer base for years to come. Thank you.”

“I am giving 4 Stars to this store because one exceptional associate, Frank in Oven/Cooktop Appliance Department. Frank Emailed price estimators (Xpro- bad experience) to get missing information. Frank gave us info for a second estimate (Prohome-great experience). Frank gave us names of great Electricians when installers realized they needed to move one outlet and also add a second outlet. While I ran into a few employees that did not know how to extract information from the company computer, I also have been helped by very knowledgeable salespersons such as Frank!”

“I came in last night to get a thermostat guard and some drip pans for my plants. Everything was very easy to find and also very well stocked. Self checkout was a breeze even though there were also cashiers available too. I recommend this location because they have a great selection in the garden department.”

“I'd like to provide this feedback for the customer service of Home Depot in Gaithersburg, specifically to Ana who was professionally amazing to help me with tue issue I had. Although I had a temper because of technical issues with my payment, she was patient and trying her best to help me out for over an hour, calling to tech support and main customer service line. One comment for management thou, please consider having online price match in store, I picked up my items in shopping cart in store, went to cashier, and since they don't do price match, I was asked to but it online, and wait for the confirmation and then take out the items that are already in my shopping cart. Just waste of time on customer side.”

“So after going to a local nursery and looking at Christmas trees, attempting to shop local for the holiday... I just could not stomach paying that much of a premium for a local vendor. I'm 100% willing to chip in a bit extra to buy local. But this nursery, about 8 minutes away from Home Depot, was almost twice the price for a tree that was 2 feet shorter. Some of the cheapest trees there were 80 dollars, and they were a bit rough off. Most of the trees we're 109 and up. So I made my way over to this Home Depot and found a tree that's about 6.5 feet for about 60 bucks. I'm sorry local nursery. Like, I said- I'd be fine with a bit of a mark up... but not a 100 percent markup for a shorter tree. I'm sorry, I just can't stomach that ;/ In any event, I ran into this place and the guy in the nursery was SO helpful. He asked me a bunch of questions about the tree I wanted. I'm always a little bit lost when shopping for trees. Do I feel confident that I know the difference between a fraser fir, balsam fir, noble fir - absolutely not. Do I know the difference between those and a white pine... yes. I know A LITTLE something lol. Just not a lot of something. So the super nice guy took down some trees for me, cut off the netting and shook them out just so I could see all the branches. He was as nice as could be. Then, the young gentleman who attached the tree to the top of my car was also as pleasant as pie. Is that even a saying? It should be if it isn't one. He was a super nice guy who I found out has worked at Home Depot for 5 years now, and he's planning on going into the Air Force soon enough. He did a solid job of attaching my tree to my car roof, and he was even hesitant to accept a tip when I offered it. I did insist that he took it. All in all, a solid wonderful experience at Home Depot in Germantown getting a tree. It was secure as could be on the way home and I love how it looks all trimmed up :)”
