“By far one of the best USPS locations in DC wish this locations was my local USPS store since it’s couple blocks down the street…don’t know why north capital is my local USPS…..but for sure will be using this location for shipping anything moving forward……not only were they professional but they even walked me through each step of the way to send an International package as well…….highly recommended location and will be back for sure……and as soon as I paid and they scanned my package I got the status update right away on my USPS app……not like north capital which never updated my status tracking and lost my package even after paying full price for tracking an envelope……a freaking envelope I laid tracking for still is missing and still has not been scanned……please avoid north capital location for shipping anything out……”

“I showed up behind a long line 20 minutes before close thinking I might be out of luck. The woman working managed to get everyone sorted out, advised me on shipping options, and I was checked out with 10 minutes to spare.”
“Had a wonderful experience at this USPS! Both workers I interacted with were so kind and patient, and very helpful when I wasn’t sure the best way to proceed. Also got everything done fairly quickly, and the line moved fast (I went Saturday morning around 9:10am).”
“I had an incredible experience with this post office last weekend that I want to share. I had called the customer line because a package's tracking information had been marked as delivered the day before, but they the status reverted to distribution center that morning. I was told that it is a system issue that packages get marked as delivered and the current status was correct, but she was unable to tell me why it was sitting at the distribution center (Takoma Park post office) and not out for delivery, so she put in a claim ticket. About 15 minutes later I got a call on my cell phone and it was the supervisor at that location, Ms. Foxx, asking if I had received my package. I told her that I had not and then she had Ms. Lee check in the packages on site and they located my package. This was 4:45 p.m. on a Saturday, so it was apparent it wasn't being delivered that day and it was a gift for father's day the next day. I asked if I could pick it up and was told that I could, if I got there in the next 15 minutes before they locked the back loading door and left. I made it and they both helped me load the large, heavy box into my car and absolutely made my day/week/year. The company that I purchased the gift from through Amazon had decided to ship via the slowest and cheapest means, so I couldn't blame the postal service for the package having not arrived, but the level of customer service to call me directly and then help find a solution was beyond my wildest expectations. Please do give the overworked staff at this location a break when you are frustrated with the long lines, as my experience there has been that they are always professional and do their job very well, even when they don't have a second to catch their breath in between customers.”
“I can’t speak for other people, but my first time coming to this Post Office was a very very positive experience. The two workers were very friendly. My experience with most Post Office is that the workers are usually dismissive and or highly negative good experience here and wasn’t crowded.”

“I had a great experience at the post office. Got there and there wasnt a line so i got in and got out. You can get your receipt emailed or printed out. There is a mailbox out front. I noticed a self service kiosk for pro mailers i assume and lockers or something i didnt get to check out on my visit. The price here for mailing is fair and fast 5⭐️”

“The workers here are incredibly kind and helpful. Despite an overall rude customer base, the workers are purposeful and excellent in their reactions to screaming and rudeness. Workers: 12/10, incredible experience. 0, it seems this location is inappropriately understaffed to a point of detriment to the workers. They shouldn’t have to deal with constant harassment due to clear mismanagement. Customer base: -100/10, rude, inappropriate, and abusive toward workers. Do better.”
“This is the best post office I've been to. The regular woman who works there is great. I'm pissed today because my package was refused due to using FedEx packaging. I mean, really, who cares, so I had to cover up everything fedex and them take it back. Never have this problem with the regular person, but always with new people. 2 more things: 1) this location has always closed at 5, not 5:30 and 2) this place is a mess because of the nasty people that go in there and throw their trash everywhere but the trash can. I see strips pulled off of letters on the floor, boxes left etc etc and it's no one but these trashy customers who would never just toss their trash on there own floor. Or would they. How about we police ourselves”
“This is a GREAT unit, a hidden gem, my new fave since Bladensburg went handbasket-tripping.I love the USPS but making it harder to get everything at every unit is ridiculous. Install mailing machines at more locations, plus at grocery stores, 7-elevens, etc., and efficiency would leap. Fix automated bulk sort from the shipper's docks to your mailbox finally and it would be even better, but we can go over that another time.”

“I had two experiences at this post office. First the mean bitter women I spoke to the other day. She was very negative and spoke down to me. The very next day I was praying I didn't get her again. This young lady was so sweet how she spoke to me about my situation. I complimented her numerous times on how she made me feel and she was awesome Mrs Lee. She was very professional with her actions and tone. And explained the process to me. Nowadays people don't know what the other is going through but her interaction put a huge smile on my face. You are appreciated....”
“The Longworth House Office Building Post Office is quite simply the best US Post Office I have encountered anywhere. The lines move quickly, the staff is friendly and they always have an abundance of stamps and mailing supplies. Mail is dispatched in the morning and after 4:00 p,m, in the afternoon. Staff will provide a special manual cancellation if you ask for it. The post office is located in the basement of the Longworth Building, but is open to the public. You will have to go through security upon entering the Capitol complex. It is easily reached by tunnel from the Cannon and Rayburn buildings.”
