“A. Litteri is a classic -- small but mighty! They have a great assortment of fresh pastas, a tasty selection of Italian cheeses, and lots of fun condiments and such. (They also have what's supposed to be a terrific wine selection, but we haven't sampled that.) We even found fresh apple pie there for Pi Day. Nice, helpful people, too!”

“I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Amos who is currently employed at Calvert Woodley Fine Wines & Spirits. Amos provides excellent customer service with his polite and patient demeanor. He excels at matching a client’s budget with a choice of wine and champagne appropriate to the occasion. My daughter, Airlie, and her husband, Nicholas, from Chamonix, France, as well as her mother-in-law, were extremely impressed with his knowledge of champagne from the region, while still offering competitive price ranges. Hands down, Amos is my go-to person for a variety of social occasions!”

“Ordering was easy and delivery very fast. This was a gift of prosecco sent to friends in DC. We did not realize that a photo id was required at delivery. We were unable to contact recepient and so delivery person was not able to complete delivery. We are now hoping to have it delivered when we can confirm someone will be home to provide id.”

“I love wandering around in Rice Market - it feels like entering another world, with an incredibly comprehensive and fun selection of beautifully arranged food and home products. I work nearby and come for the hot prepared grab-and-go food, which tastes more like grandma's cooking than a restaurant. In cold weather, the outside terrace is empty, so you can enjoy delicious hot food in the refreshing cold and people watch for 10-15 minutes.”
“Kings Craft is a fantastic spot with a unique setup – not only a great selection of craft beers and wines, but also a bar where you can enjoy them on-site. The live music on Fridays really brings the community together, creating a warm, family feel that you don’t often find. Love that it’s family-owned, too!”

There is security posted at the door due to high theft in the area, but don’t let that deter you—this place has a fantastic selection of wine, beer, and alcohol.
