“I think they are good at what they do. I had a flat tire, and came here simply by way of a Yelp search with all the positive reviews. I was worried that I would need to replace my tire, but it just needed a plug which cost about $20. When they finally got to me, the guy who worked on my car was efficient and quick. I ended up tipping him because he was really good. I forgot his name unfortunately. The only annoying thing is having to wait and how traffic gets backed up into the street. It was my first time there, so didn't really know what to expect. I waited about 1.5 hours before my car was finally seen, and maybe only spent 15 minutes in there for service. I guess the cost and quickness of the service offset the long wait time. I would definitely come back though in the future and try to come during less busy times like early in the morning or later in the evening.”

“They have new ownership, and are now a part of Metro Motors. We had a disagreement on a mistaken charge. This was a situation where they couldn't get confirmation of the mistake and they gave me the benefit of the doubt nonetheless. Problems come up, and a business can be defined by how they handle those problems. Judging on how they handled this, I would say they are professional and try their best, putting the customer first.”

“Edit - 2 months later I have taken my wife's van and my own car back for some valve stem issues. All I can say is you don't find service like this anywhere around here. This is old school customer service. They genuinely care and you are not a number.You can take your car to NTB, pay a premium, get told about all these things you need to fix on your car, then have to wait day for you car to get tires (because your appointment means nothing) OR you can come here during your hour lunch break and be in and out. I'll choose the latter every time. ;)”

I ended up having to purchase 2 more tires (the tire ratings were different) elsewhere and have all 4 tires balanced. Good for an emergency situation, but would probably go somewhere else to just have tires replaced.”

“Make sure you read all the negative reviews about this guy before you trust your BMW with him. He writes too many fake positive reviews. He charged me $1500 for a leaky valve cover gasket a year ago. He never did it right and I took my car to the dealer and they said he put it on backwards and it's not even an OEM or even a BMW part. He claims to take pride in his work and if you disagree he will verbally assault you. Do not trust this guy.”

“I like the ease of getting same or next day appointment. Had my 15 year old SUV towed to Johnsons Auto Service as it had a dead battery and a few other issues that needed to be resolved. Johnsons provided an estimate, which was reasonable, and quickly serviced my SUV. I was able to pick it up the day after it was towed there. Unfortunately, there was still an issue with the vehicle when I picked it up as the red battery indicator light was coming on intermittently as I was driving home. (That's the reason I took off 1 star). I initially thought the indicator light would potentially reset itself, but the next day, the indicator light was back on. So I brought my SUV back to Johnsons. They were apologetic, did another diagnostic (at no charge), found the problem, gave me the estimate for the additional part, and quickly fixed the issue. Now all is well and my SUV is running fine. Although it took 2 visits to fix my SUV, I was happy with the speed of service (both times), reasonable price, and their location is great because they are only 5 minutes from my home. I will be bringing my SUV there again for service in the future.”

“Bob came highly recommended to me by my boyfriend’s mother - I came all the way from La Plata, MD. Bob and his son were nothing short of being God-sent… wonderful! Honda auto shop tried to charge me $1000 xtra for the same service! Also, Bob and his son found that the Honda dealer basically were going to rip me off in general for a new water pump and coolant (which wasn’t needed). That’s right! Car Dealerships are charging people for parts that don’t even need to be replaced, and completely not mentioning the parts that actually need replacing! I needed a new AC compressor (per Bob) and Honda completely failed to mention that. Bob took care of me like a father would! He felt horrible that Honda did this to me and he fixed my car within 24 hours. When I came to pick up my car, his son lifted my hood and showed me exactly what was fixed and why - he was so knowledgeable and kind. If you want HONEST work, FAIR affordable prices, and a job WELL DONE, look no further. You’re in trusted hands here at Branch Ave Tire & Auto.Most importantly, my 2010 civic is now driving like brand new, after years of taking it to Honda and their never acknowledging the cause for my car shaking (AC compressor/belt). They’d instead find a bunch of other issues with parts that in hindsight probably didn’t need to be replaced. Save yourself the money and the troubles of going anywhere else but here!LOOK NO FURTHER!!!”
