“I went on a Wednesday around noon. I had zero wait. One patron had just left, and one came in after me. There is just one cashier. I only needed to mail a small package and I had no idea what first class postage would cost. The counter person was personable and asked perfunctory questions. I was in and out. Maybe because of COVID and a pending snowstorm, people had other places to be. I like the old brick building. There is ample ( more than necessary) unlike the new Silver Spring post office near me, which has no parking lot.”

“I’m sitting in my car, still floored by the excellent customer service I just received. I brought in a package by mistake that was supposed to be UPS, leaving my USPS package in the car. Had my hands full with a stroller and the large package. When the young lady behind the counter realized my mistake, she followed me back out to my car and took the correct parcel for me. She told me to have a blessed day and I certainly have thanks to her! Love being able to write a glowing review.”

“While I very much like the USPS employee that is typically at the window. She's extremely friendly and helpful. I have a major complaint with the fact that regardless of which Saturday I go, the door is never unlocked despite both the door and website displaying these supposed PO Box Access hours of 10AM - 2PM. I arrived at 1155 this morning and the same foolishness. Its extremely frustrating and it's professonial. Do beeter USPS!”

“I just had a great experience! I dropped off my package and got a receipt without a hitch! This made me feel a lot better after a terrible experience at USPS on Buchanan street.Not only was I satisfied with my experience, but I saw about 10 other people in the same situation, and every single one of them seemed like they were having a great time. The staff interacted with each customer with a big smile, and the line was moving at a good pace. It was 15 minutes past closing time, so they might be in a bad mood, but all the staff members were really nice and helpful.I will definitely make this location my new go-to!”

“Maybe it's because I know so many local folks and I never send packages, but I rarely come to the post office. To keep a reasonable flow of traffic, the parking lot is mostly one-way -- which can be confusing if you're on Hanover Parkway and miss the sign. But otherwise, I appreciate the flow. I think the only times I've been inside are when I've needed stamps, which I get once every few years -- I send a bulk of things for the holidays, and always get more stamps than I need. I needed regular stamps, since it felt odd sending holiday ones in the summer, so there was that. One time I stood in line it was a little long, and the other time it was totally empty. I always drop off my letters at the box outside.I do take jogs, so I've seen when it gets really busy. Avoid coming after work, around lunchtime or on weekend afternoons if you can... you will indeed be dealing with a lot of folks.”

She went ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR ME I don’t live in Maryland anymore but she handled everything I needed over the phone even caught my package right before it was returned to sender. “I am not a fan of the DC post office (which isn't this location). Our mail carriers don't pay attention to detail & we can't get anyone 100 % dedicated to providing excellent service regularly. Repetitive tasks probably get boring, but that is how I get mail not meant for me and how my mail gets mis-delivered. When my mother's day card wasn't picked up by my mail carrier after two days (since I was trying to avoid visiting a post office), I had to make sure my card was sent. This post office is along an errand route so it works for me. It looked like the staff was practicing safe distancing inside. I was able to use their mailbox outside and not interact with anyone. There is a convenient parking lot behind the post office. I love little post offices like this. Langly Park, MD has one as well.”

“When my box was an awkward size that would have been very expensive to ship, the lovely lady up front went through all the boxes in the back looking for the right sized one for what I was shipping (while helping other customers on a Saturday morning) and helped me get the cost down and my niece's present out the door. “This location is not too far from my hairstylist so on a few occasions I’ve stopped here to purchase some money orders and the staff is always super helpful and patient. Yesterday one of my debit cards was completely canceled due to fraud, which I did not learn until I attempted to buy a money order here and the associate who helped me was so patient and gave me a few ideas of how to resolve the issue before I realized it was a bank issue. I just really appreciated her positive attitude and help during a frustrating experience.”
“I always forget that this Post Office exists. Maybe because it is back in the cut off of Watkins Park Drive and can't really be seen from the main road. As far as I know it is full service and it is never crowded. I had to go in during this girl Rona and it was virtually empty, which was completely different from others that I passed that many folks waiting in lines outside. Of course masks were required and 6ft lines were but in place in addition to limit on who is allowed in the lobby. I have always been pleased with the staff in this location. I will continue to return of course when remember!”
