“I had the most wonderful experience at this branch. I was trying to retrieve copies of two cahier's checks that I issued to a third party. After speaking with representatives on the phone, at a different branch and even at this branch, my request seemed baffling. However, one day I tried my luck and thanks to Roxana, I was able to obtain a copy of my checks. She was knowledgeable and diligent and within a few days, she was calling me to let me know that she was able to get those copies and had put them to the side for me in case I come in when she wasn't there. Times are challening during this Covid season and the smallest random act of kindness could change be a game changer to someone's life. I'm sure Roxana thought she was just doing her job but it was so much more for me. Thank you for being amazing Roxana!”
“I read all the reviews and I have to believe that the people who wrote negative reviews are talking about a different bank. Sandy Spring Bank financed the construction loan for my house in 1986 and the purchase of six vacation condos in the early 2000's. I was a government employee with a Credit Union in my office so I did not consider Sandy Spring for checking or savings. When I retired in 2014, I went with Suntrust (now Truist) for checking and savings because they had an office in the neighborhood Safeway. The branch I had been using closed during COVID and the nearest branch simply did not perform to my satisfaction. There were frequently long waits for service and their mobile banking was just terrible. I have only recently become a Sandy Spring Bank customer at the Burtonsville branch. There is a night and day difference. There is a "what can I do your you" attitude with everyone I have met there. If a teller is not immediately ready to handle my deposit, I get an apology for the slightest wait. I am contacted frequently to make sure I am satisfied with everything. And most important to me, their mobile banking app works like a charm. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would.”
