“We've been eating McCutcheons for generations, so I stopped in to pick up apple butter for my grandma. I'd never been to the actual store, and it did not disappoint! Plenty of local goodies to be had there along with every McCutcheons product I could want. Plus, the pricing and service were awesome!”

“This is a great place to get the harder to find eastern hemisphere produce like exotic fruits and very specific pastries. I'm not a huge fan of the food court area, but the offerings are decent. The smell of fish hits in you in the face the moment you walk in. I don't find it very pleasant personally, but if you're anticipating that odor, it is not as jarring.”

Other than that, the store usually has professional staff and what I need, besides never having real mens razors like Gillette or Schick, but thats been years and Ive lost hope a long time ago. I’m fine with, not every store is perfect. I just go to Giant to get razors.”

“Aldi's always has lovely produce. They have great prices on canned goods. Their selection of frozen foods is limited, their steam
in bag veggies are excellent. They have random seasonal items that are worth browsing. The staff are friendly and helpful. Both Frederick locations have self checkout stations. Always a clean store. Be sure to have a quarter to get your shopping cart, you'll most likely need one.”
“This is a small Military Store used by Soldiers and Federal workers. It is a place where the Troops can pick up beverages of all kinds, accouterments for their uniforms, health and beauty products, etc. The staff are always friendly and helpful. It's worth 5 stars, but falls short because of size.”

“A great commissary, not as large as some, but better run than others I've been to. Staff is great: friendly, competent, and helpful. Meat section is particularly good, fresh produce is "hit or miss," so look at what you buy. My only real issue is that the store brand, "Freedom's Choice" is uniformly mediocre...but that's probably a DECA issue, and not this particular store. Otherwise, this store is a reliably great experience.”

I've been in the gym every day this month (October), sans Sundays.That being said......Weis was always my pit stop on the way to work for one thing: DONUUUUUUUUUTS!!!!I really don't have much to say about the store as a grocery store because it's pretty much what you would expect.But those DONUUUUUUUUTS!!! Lord save me...These are the best donuts I've ever had at a grocery store.Which is why I brought up Point #2. It's the last place I should be if I'm trying to lose weight. Hey, don't judge me. Mind your own bathroom scale.The assortment is great and they are ridiculously flavorful. Soft. Flaky. Huge.I could eat them all day! “Stopped here for a breakfast sandwich and coffee the morning after an overnight stay at nearby Lockhouse 28 while biking the C&O Canal Towpath trail. Not the safest route from the trail to the deli due to a stretch of on-the-road biking with little to no shoulder, so be alert. Otherwise, the ready-made bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel breakfast sandwich I had was tasty, warm, a nd satisfying, especially when paired with a cup of fresh hot coffee. A variety of convenience store items to purchase as well (drinks, chips, snacks, etc.).”

“Hi! I’m a FIRM believer in giving credit when credit is due AND acknowledgement for a GREAT work ethic (very rare these days). VALERIE is quite fantastic. I live in the neighborhood and shop at the New Design Giant quite often. Whether she is checking people out or at the self checkout area, she has always been most helpful and seems to always “go the extra mile” to be of service in any way she can. I SO appreciate this and I’m sure others do too. Like I said, I’m in the store often so to see this consistency and to take notice of it and then prompt me to write a review, well, that should definitely be a sign to management. Be kind to her and please give her recognition she deserves!! This means a lot to employees - don’t forget that! Thank you Valerie for trying and making a difference!!”
