62 Beachmere Pl, Ogunquit“We had a delightful lunch with a sensational view of the Maine coast at The Blue Bistro - the restaurant located at the Beachmere Inn on Maine's Marginal Way.
It can be a bit tricky to find the Blue Bistro by car - look for the Beachmere Inn signs, the Blue Bistro is located just inside the main entrance. You do not have to be a guest of the Beachmere to enjoy this restaurant for lunch or dinner.
The Blue Bistro features expertly crafted cocktails, local brews, and a well chosen wine selection.
The chowder was amazing, not too thick but very tasty. The lobster roll was pure Maine lobster no filler and among the best we've ever experienced. The BLT was first rate and just what I needed to accompany the bowl of chowder.
Take a friend to the Blue Bistro and make your next Maine lunch or Dinner truly memorable.”
“Absolutely amazing place to stay. This place goes above and beyond. It's all the little details that make this place amazing. Great breakfast every morning. Great cocktails and cookies every afternoon. Then at night climbing into the best bedding with the most amazing pillows. Top notch all the way.
Rooms: Super clean rooms. It's very warm and comfortable. Very modern yet classy.
Walkability: Just a short walk to downtown Ogunquit. By short walk, I mean 30 seconds.
Noteworthy details: The owner, Bruce, is so friendly and inviting. We are going this year again for the third year in a row. We are so excited.”
“I don't know why people are leaving 1/5 star reviews with little to no reason. The rooms are amazing, Ogunquit Playhouse(3min car) & Ogunquit Beach(7min walk) are very close! Rooms are clean. (WARNING TO ANY JUNIPER HILL STAYERS AND REVIEWERS: THIS IS *NOT* THE JUNIPER HILL FARM IN VERMONT THAT APPEARED ON HOTEL HELL)
Rooms: Amazing rooms, very clean.
Nearby activities: Ogunquit Playhouse is about 3 minutes in car. Ogunquit Beach is about 5/7 minutes walk.
Safety: Keycards and you cannot see a thing behind the blinds. 5/5 security & safety.
Walkability: Ogunquit Beach is so close you can just walk in 8 minutes if you were walking SLOW. 5 minutes if you walked at normal speed.
Noteworthy details: Due to COVID-19, breakfast is not available as of 2023. The Littlefield Room only has a microwave in the breakfast area, and the rest is an empty counter. (INCLUDED: Indoor and outdoor pool, amazing service, vending machine @ office, coffee and hot coco @ office) Me and my family visit every year. I'd leave it a 5 stars review. (Note; The "Juniper Hill Farm" hotel that appeared on Hotel Hell is completely different rather than THIS HOTEL. The one in vermont that every confused reviewer is yapping about closed in 2014.)”
“The best location matched by the friendly staff. Arrived early than check-in but room was ready so we were permitted in. Clean room, cozy, and Perkins Cove as a view!! We will be back!”

22 Wharf Ln, Ogunquit“We had an exceptional stay at the Marginal Way House in Ogunquit! We started our honeymoon there and it was like we landed in a movie about a sleepy beach town. Everything was beautiful and the building was stunning! We could enjoy coffee on our porch and watch the tide come in!
The location is unbeatable, right on the water with stunning views. Walking the Marginal Way to Perkins Cove was a daily highlight. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and well-appointed. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We can't wait to return!”
“Sept 4 - 7th, 2023, came here with friends and stayed in Room on the 2nd floor. The room had a small kitchen with a nice clean working refrigerator. They had a small coffee maker a toaster, and microwave oven. All the equipment looked new. Plus there was a small eating table for two. The room had 1 queen bed that was comfortable to sleep on, plus the pillows was nice and soft. We asked for a Cot to be put in our room since there were 3 of us for an additional charge of course. My friend who slept on the Cot said the mattress was just OK, and I am sure it is ready for a Foam Mattress replacement. LOVED the sign on the inside of our door that stated Guest who Smoke in the rooms will be charged 250.00 dollars Fee. NOTE, there is a Smoking Area outside by the Ice Machine if you needed to smoke. However, I did see the guy on the first floor sitting outside his room smoking. Amanda, who works there was very personable, and friendly. When I asked her for extra towels, and plastic bags I didn’t have to wait long for her to deliver them to our room. The room is equipped with a Smoke Detector and I assume a Carbon Monoxide Detector. Sherry and Jennifer who work in the Office are very professional and friendly. Honestly, all the workers I am sure that work there are hard workers, otherwise the place would not be so clean. All and all, we would definitely stay there again if we want to come back to Maine because this Hotel is right in town, walking distance to all stores, restaurants and the ocean.”
“Had a very pleasant experience staying at Captain's Quarters for the first time this past weekend. We stayed in Suite #2, which was spotless and a decent size for two couples or a family with kids. The kitchen had all the necessary appliances (fridge, stove, toaster, microwave, etc) and the basics as far as cookware too. Staff were friendly & welcoming and checkout was easy. You need to explicitly ask if you want your sheets changed otherwise they don't enter the room if you are out and your dog is there (makes sense). All in all, it was nice to be in a spot that is accepting of dogs and doesn't make things overly complicated either. Would recommend and will certainly be back. Cheers from Montreal.”
“I’ve been coming here for thirty years and it always delivers. The best location, clean and nicely appointed rooms and fair pricing. Wouldn’t change a thing. My stay here is always the highlight of my summer.”
“My wife & I were greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are beautifully decorated with comfortable beds and all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay, including free Wi-Fi, cable TV, and air conditioning. The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful. Overall, I highly recommend the Scotch Hill Inn for anyone looking for a cozy and welcoming place to stay in Ogunquit. You won't be disappointed!”

268 Main St, Ogunquit“What more can I say, we made last-minute reservations after the office closed. We called the phone number and they were very accommodative. We did feel bad that the person had to come back into the office but he was very nice. Jerome was beautiful and it was very clean the mattress was very comfortable. It's got a cute little indoor pool and a hot tub on premise. You can walk pretty much to anything you need. We were there for 3 days and didn't have to move the car at all. The beach is about 4/10 of a mile away. There's a small hill to go down and then back up on the return trip. The pastries and coffee in the morning were a favorite of ours.
Rooms: Very clean and well equipped.
Safety: We felt very safe here.
Walkability: Walk to anything.”

276 Shore Rd, Ogunquit“This place is a hidden gem in Ogunquit. Steer clear of all the beach resorts; this is the place to be! We’ve been coming here for 14 years now - the rooms are always clean, the service is always friendly, and the value can’t be beat! Book room 301 for a penthouse with a birds eye view of Shore Road.”
“The Sparhawk resort is my go to vacation spot every May! The room over looks the ocean and the sound lulls you to sleep at night. The beds are very comfortable and on a rainy day it’s nice to lounge around and read and watch tv with lots of channels. The resort is on Shore Road which has many shops and restaurants. The wonderful continental breakfast that comes with each nights stay is awesome. There is juice, coffee, tea hot and cold cereal, muffins, many different types of bread for toast and bagels and yogurt and hard boiled eggs, jelly and peanut butter and bananas and orange slices and I’m probably forgetting something. There is always coffee and tea in the lobby as well.
The rooms are cleaned daily and the housekeeping staff are wonderful. The office staff are courteous and can help you with directions and things to do. A complimentary newspaper is also available in the lobby. It’s a wonderful place to stay, oh there is a pool and tennis/pickleball court and shuffle board. The Marginal way begins there also. It is an awesome walk!”
“We absolutely love it here... Being a time share, you can trade your week to stay other places, but honestly, we never do...we actually use our week in Ogonquit.”
“We spent a weekend here in November and had such a wonderful time. From the time we got in we felt welcomed by the staff and comfortable in the atmosphere of the inn. The room had a King bed and a small balcony overlooking the pool and hot tub setup. The inside of the inn was clean and cozy! We also got great recommendations for dinner and didn't have to blow the bank. Thank you for a great stay, we'll be sure to be back!”

719 Main St, Ogunquit“great location- close to town and walking distance to beach. Pool was great- large and clean. Hot tub was quite big but to be honest, too many young children in it swimming about so didn’t use it. Would be better to restrict use to adults.
Room was clean and beds were super comfortable! We loved the pillow top mattress- just soft enough to feel amazing!
Front desk gentleman was very nice and accomodating- when we checked in the room we were given had a problematic ac and light switches and he immediately changed us to another room without any hesitation
on a busy july fourth week. Some may not like the lack of daily housekeeping, but we were fine with it on the third day or our five night stay. The front desk provided towels and anything else needed if one needed it sooner. Would definitely recommend the hotel.
Walkability: walk to beach and restaurants. trolley in summer months just outside hotel to go into town and various other places.”

125 Shore Rd, Ogunquit“Beautiful place in a great location. Lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance.
Rooms: The older part of the resort was clearly an old motel, but it has been completely redone and it's lovely. These rooms have the best views.
Walkability: Lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. It's only a short walk back to the main drag with even more options.”
“It was a real discovery, because in this area there are many offers of accommodation facilities, however many of these are absolutely poor and at exaggerated prices. We found the rooms very spacious, very clean, comfortable bed, central location and at the same time surrounded by greenery and quiet, a beautiful well-kept swimming pool. A beautiful porch in front of the rooms, reserved and kind cleaning staff. Breakfast offered on weekends. Staff at the reception were really very friendly. Really good price considering the service offered. We wanted to stay for two nights, we stayed 10 nights and will return many more times. A thousand thanks.
Rooms: Spacious and very clean, with comfortable bed.”

74 Main St, Ogunquit“Very elegant and relaxing. Outside hot tub, 2 indoor pools and 1 outside. Great location. 4 stars because there was no complimentary food on site and no place to get light snacks. There was a restaurant but it was a little pricey. No sundry items to purchase in-house.”
“Footbridge Beach Motel is our favorite place to stay in Maine! This was our third visit, and as always, everything was great! Beautiful flowers on the grounds and in the relaxing pool area, along with clean/comfortable rooms. The owners are very nice and welcoming. We’ll definely be back next year!
Rooms: Clean/comfortable rooms
Walkability: Walkable to our favorite Footbridge Beach!
Food & drinks: Great places to get food and drinks right next to the motel.”
