“AWOL in Kennebunkport is absolutely adorable. The main house gives you a B&B vibe and the rooms are all unique. Ours was spacious and beautifully updated. The breakfast was advertised as a toast bar, but really included many options. A short and pretty walk to the main strip and close to other spots as well. We really enjoyed the bikes available to guests and took a ride out to the beach a couple of times. Definitely would stay again!”

“We had a perfect one day/ overnight stay how ever due to a family emergency we needed to checkout a day earlier. The kind and graciousness of the management to refund the missed night stay was very much appreciated.. besides the facility, room and service being excellent this added human consideration is what sets this resort to the highest level… my husband and I will surely return only to this place and recommend to all our family and friends. “We had a wonderful stay! The room was super nice, and we loved the outdoor sitting area—it was perfect for relaxing. The location was fantastic, within walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do.

We also enjoyed using the bikes and kayaks, which added to the experience. If you're someone who needs 24-hour front desk assistance, this might not be the place for you, but that didn’t affect us at all. We will definitely stay here again!”

“We were traveling from Boston to Bar Harbor chose to spend a night here so we could see Kennebunkport. I’m so glad we did!! The rooms were clean, it was easy to get to, and the staff was truly amazing! Sophie was so awesome at the front desk. She called to see when we were planning to arrive and gave us so much information about what to see and where to eat. I would highly recommend staying here!”

“Our server, Karen, was delightful and we enjoyed conversing with her throughout the evening. The meal was timed so that we never felt rushed and each course was delicious. The sauce on the swordfish should be an award winner. The portions were generous and at perfect temperature. We have significant hearing issues and I asked for a quiet table for our birthday dinner. We were given a table in a small dining area, in a corner next to a window with views of porch. Management listened and beautifully accommodated our need, impressive. That attention to detail made our experience exceptional. The wines (by the glass) were excellent. My wife was quietly and perfectly honored for her birthday. This was our first time visiting and my wife's comment said it all, “I can't wait to come back”.”

“Rooms: Little small. Tight. No safe. But Ac , tv. Coffee in the room. Water and coffee is available at any time. Mattress could have been more comfortable. And we did not get fresh towels the next day but we did not ask either. Stayed two nights. Over all I would definitely go back. ….No pool which would have been nice on an extended stay but guests can use the pool down the street.

Noteworthy details: Right in the heart of town. Plenty of interesting places to visit and restaurants to try. Car not really necessary unless you want to tour the surrounding areas like we did. beautiful. Free parking. Which is not true at a lot of places.
A nice continental breakfast with fresh blueberry cake and quiche bagels, coffee, tea, water, orange juice, yogurt, cereal oatmeal, muffins. Etc. And a restaurant for dining in the evening if you did not want to go out!
Outside sitting areas with wine & beer.”

“We ate at the restaurant a few weeks ago and the food was just phenomenal. The mussels were to die for, and their blueberry pie melted in your mouth! We are still talking about it!”
