Pet Care
Acadia Veterinary Hospital
21 Federal St, Bar HarborI wait until we get to Dr Fine at Acadia Vet, rather than cope with big city drs. The patience, knowledge and care that all our furry family receive is golden. After 25 years as being a patient parent, I couldn’t recommend them more highly

Dogs at Acadia Woods
31 Gretas Ln, Bar HarborWe kenneled our 4 German Shorthair Pointers for the day 8/26/24. So we could bike the Carriage Road and visit Acadia National Park -Wild Gardens. Staff were wonderful and our girls were content and well exericised. Meaning, if you are aware of the breed they need to run a lot. And there is not a lot of places to run your dog in the park. So I would highly recommend Dogs at Acadia Woods. Also, very reasonable /affordable prices. Thanks again.

Mount Desserts, Homemade Pies
2 Lookout Point Rd, Bar HarborI love pie, especially fruit pies - they’re probably my favorite dessert. I make pies from scratch for family holiday dinners (I’m a hobbyist, but take it seriously!). I can easily say that the wild Maine blueberry pie from Mount Desserts is the best pie I have ever had. I will literally dream about this pie. I’m not normally a huge fan of blueberry pie, but am a convert for the tiny wild blueberries that are the star (I usually prefer the crust to the filling, but this filling really shines). The tartness of the filling (which is so dense with the berries) and the flaky crust are a perfect combination. The baker-owner was really kind, and you could tell she was hard working (it was the off season and she said she had made 50 pies that day!). Also the smell upon entering the bakery barn is AMAZING. The bakery location is somewhat easy to miss (the Google Maps directions led us to the exit rather than the entrance), but it’s conveniently near downtown Bar Harbor (perfect for vacation food!). As a note, payment is only cash or Venmo (if you have spotty cell service on MDI like I did, there’s WiFi to connect to Venmo). I thought I was going overboard buying two pies but now that I’m home I wish I’d bought more!

Sweet Pea's Farm Kitchen
854 ME-3, Bar HarborWhat a great experience. Amazing blueberry wine, incredible oysters, and most surprisingly, legitimately great pizza. As I'm from nyc, I have a high bar for good pizza, and this place really has a delicious slice, specifically the plowman. Would definitely come again!

C-Ray Lobster
882 ME-3, Bar HarborThe food, service and ambiance were all great. Service was quick and exactly as we ordered. We had lobster rolls, potato salad and corn on the the cob. All were great, and the corn on the cob was the best I've had in a while. They have a fire pit and we got to sit by it. It was in the evening and as the fire got lower the staff quickly came and added more wood. That was a wonderful experience. Appeared to be a family run operation and they were all nice.

Happy Clam Shack
1170 Bar Harbor Rd, Bar HarborPatti’s lobster rolls are the best in Maine! On a weekend trip to Acadia, I stumbled upon the Happy Clam Shack and couldn’t have been happier with my experience. Patti operates a sea-to-table business and hand-picks her lobster meat every morning. Her lobster rolls are made to the highest quality possible and her Happy Clam Shack creates such a warm & welcoming environment for all travelers. Don’t pass by this hidden gem!

Testa's Bar & Grill
53 Main St, Bar HarborThe food was good, the atmosphere was nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I had purchased 3 shirts for my grandkids at the shop next door, and left my bag at the restaurant. The manager Christopher was kind enough to pull the video footage to find out what happened to my bag. Thank you Chris for taking the extra steps and going the extra mile to help me figure out what happened.

Cafe This Way
14 Mt Desert St, Bar HarborSuper cute little cafe with really yummy breakfast and friendly staff! It stinks that you can’t park in the back by it, and have to park on the street, but it’s worth it! I’m not normally a fan of blueberry pancakes, but these were the best I’ve ever had in my life!

Cottage St. Pub
21 Cottage St, Bar HarborFelt at home from the moment we stepped in. Of the 4 nights we spent in Bar Harbor, we ended up at Cottage Street Pub 3 of them. The drinks are great and the atmosphere is equally pleasant.
The bartender/owner Tessa knows her stuff! She works with an incredible efficiency behind the bar. The custom cocktails we ordered were all well balanced and delicious. Her music selection is also a lot of fun.
Pull up a spot at the bar and have a nice evening!

Atlantic Brewing Company
15 Knox Rd, Bar HarborAtlantic Brewing in Bar Harbor is a fantastic stop for anyone who loves craft beer! The brewery offers a great selection of beers, each with its own unique flavor profile. Whether you're into light ales, rich stouts, or something in between, there's something for everyone. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to recommend a brew based on your preferences. The atmosphere is laid-back and relaxed. I really enjoyed the grilled cheese - it paired so well with my beer. I also love the brewery's commitment to using local ingredients, which adds an extra layer of authenticity to their beers. They have two locations - one in the middle of the touristy area and one another tasting room. Highly recommend a trip to the tasting room - they serve the best BBQ - Mainly Meats. Worth the trip! I look forward to coming back!

Bar Harbor Cellars
854 ME-3, Bar HarborThis place was very nice! Service was excellent, and we really enjoyed the wine flights and atmosphere. The only thing we would have liked more would have been to tour the vineyard, but overall a good place to visit and spend an hour tasting wine and relaxing!
