“Not that Second Serve needs another five-star review, but I feel compelled to write one anyway. This might be my favorite business of any type in or around New Orleans. Rob & Co. are extremely knowledgable and able to answer the most esoteric equipment-related questions, and rather than use that as an opportunity to upsell, they are committed to putting each customer in precisely the equipment that suits them. This has meant counseling me, numerous times, to stick with the racquets I've got rather than "upgrade" to something newer. When a business foregoes an easy sale for the benefit of the customer, you know you've found someplace special. Add to that their great selection, competitive pricing, and FREE demo program, and it feels almost stupid to bring your racquet-sports business anywhere else. This place is a 10 out of 10.”

“My daughter was fitted for her first pointe shoes with Mindy. It was absolutely beautiful. The staff listened to her and made appropriate recommendations. It took a while, which we expected, but it was definitely worth the drive. They are patient and very knowledgeable. Mindy genuinely cared about the fit and future of our little dancer. In the end, my daughter left totally elevated with the entire experience….just what your first pointe shoe fitting should be. The communication on email is a bit slow and delayed, but still worth it for the I -person service. Highly recommend.”

“Had to come in to the store to get a new pair of running shoes as my old hokas were giving me terrible blisters that very day after walking around downtown. The young gentleman (Damien?) or whatever his name was on January the 2nd at around 5pm was a superstar. He knew the products well and recommended me a few models from Brooks to try before I decided on one pair- they were so comfortable and great for walking long distances for my last 2 weeks on vacation. He was friendly with all the customers. Only downside: not enough Super Bowl merchandise for ladies sizes there!”

“The white blonde female staff was cautious and very helpful. Saved my time. They issued me a $16 refund for my exchange due to the higher price I paid in the branch in Riverwalk. I am going to wait for my bank to verify that. Thing is, the Riverwalk one is a factory outlet and this one is retail, and somehow this one is cheaper for my favorite original straight extreme flex pants. This store is good people and clearly superior than avg Louisiana service.”

“This store was just recently taken over by 5.11 Corporate from Karl Malone. It is now a company owned store and not ran by a third party. Give them a chance to see if their service increases and to show more consistency in their business practices. Most of the 5.11 locations I've visited deliver good service, but like most retail there are some that do not. Let's give them another chance.”
